Kai and Anaya slowly limped back to camp where his family was. Lance and the pups were huddled around Rain as he lay there, "What happened brother?" Lance looked up through his teary eyes, "He just ran out into the battle, somebody picked him up and shattered his spine." Kai laid beside him, "He's unconscious, the best thing we can do is let him rest." Kai turned to see Pike crashing from the forest bleeding badly and barely walking properly. Pike took one good look at Rain and ran over immediate. He collapsed next to him crying tears of sadness and anger. He turned to his brothers, "They will all pay." He started to go back into the forest, but Kai held him back, "You sure you wanna go through with this?" Pike nodded, saving his breath, and ran back off.

Pike forced his heart to keep pumping and his lungs to keep breathing as he crashed through the forest back to camp. He left a thin trail of blood as he approached camp. When he arrived, he saw his family surrounding something. It was his son, Rain. He limped over and collapsed next to him, crying. Pike realized something, somebody needed to pay, "They will all pay." He rose and turned to go, but he felt Kai tug him back by the tail, "You sure you wanna go through with this?" Pike nodded and scurried off towards the enemy camp.

Lance sat with the pup, watching over Rain. He had told Kai the story of how he got hurt. He watched as the events happening in front of him blurred together. Pike crashing through camp, collapsing and crying right in front of Rain. Then running back off, mumbling something about... vengeance.
