~Male~Alpha of the Rebels~Mood: Tired~Tags: Danger

The alpha turned to see who had addressed him, bitter reply ready. But when he saw it was Danger, he let out a puff of air, shoulders relaxing. “Oh, hey Danger.” The Male greeted “Just organize some patrols.” Ontario flicked a large ear and furrowed his brow. “Hey, Danger.” He added “When you’re done, meet me in my den, okay? I want to talk to you about something.”

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxChase watched silently as the male seemed to ponder on what to do. Her thick fur bristled slightly in anticipation as she watched the brute carefully, looking for so much of a twitch in one of his muscles to signal that he was going to make a move to go for her. Chase exhaled quietly, her gaze not leaving his as she waited for some sort of response. The loner tensed as the male shook his head and grunted. She dug her paw into the ground slightly, testing the grip incase she needed to push off quickly in the event that this male did get aggressive.

As the shepherd spoke, Chase flexed her muscles slightly, so she was right in her suspicions of this dog being apart of a pack. The fae flicked her ear quickly - seeing if she could hear any nearby dogs that would mean that this one had company. When she came up empty she stood confused for a few seconds - why would a pack dog be out here alone? Chase had almost forgotten that she had been asked a question. She thought over her answer for a few moments - if she didn’t answer in the ‘right’ way, then it could cause more problems than she would want. “
if you want an honest answer, then I was scouting the borders to see if the pack was hostile.”She replied, choosing her words carefully.

As the brute stepped forward Chase forced herself to stand her ground. The black canine brought her head up and stood up straight, her eyes still focused on Cassius. Every instinct in her body told her to either recoil back into a defensive position or to get out of there as quickly as possible but Chase chose to do neither, instead standing her ground. She flashed her teeth breifly in an attempt to let the male know that she didn’t really appreciate him coming closer.

tell me, if I’m not trespassing on pack territory, then what am I doing that is wrong?” She challenged, trying to buy herself more time to think of her next move. She could run, yes, but then that’d hinder her as the pack dogs would most likely be alerted of her presence and she wouldn’t be able to stay in the area for as long as she needed to.

    CASSIUS ━━━━
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────
cassius male 4 years alpha of the olympe pack no crush/mate tagged: chase

Cassius nodded, her answer was logical and it made sense. Cass would like to think that the pack was not hostile towards strangers, but in reality, they were. If a patrol had seen the female inside the territory, they would have brought her down and taken her back to the camp for interrogation. But the loner was safe outside of the territory, doing her harm would only ruin his reputation and break a rule within the pack. "Unfortunately, if you were to set foot inside these lines I would have every right to do harm to you. But seeing as you are smart enough to stay outside of them, it would do me no good in hurting you." Cassius barked, his eyes flickering towards the scent line and then back to where the fae stood.

He saw her tense up as he moved closer. They were still a considerable amount away from each other but she bared her teeth nonetheless and he stopped moving. Cass gave her an odd glance, she sure had space issues. Cassius was in a relaxed position, and was certainly not in any way, shape, or form prepared to attack the loner. He gave a mild chuckle and glanced around.
"You could've been anyone, part of Ontario's rebels, another one of my pack." Cassius had realized he had said part of his pack. Which could give himself away, but hopefully she would take it a different way. "I've been noticing suspicious behavior in camp, and I am beginning to believe there are traitors that live among the packmembers. I've been more alert now then ever, but fortunately you are an innocent bystander. Which unfortunately for me means I have nothing to go off of." Cassius spoke gently, his gaze still matching the loners. He realized that he hadn't even told his pack of his suspicions. Of course they might have noticed food missing, but they were still oblivious to his conclusion. Why did he tell the loner what he hadnt told his whole pack? A look of confusion glazed his eyes as he tried to contemplate what he had just done. What was in this loner that he trusted more than the dogs he had lived with?

Sable's eyes flickered open gently and she quickly crawled out of her small den. It was nothing compared to the den of most of the dogs, except for a select few. Her eyes flitted across the small campsite, It was littered with dens and dogs sleeping, and it was quite a calming feeling. But her gaze ended up landing on the larger dog who had just awoken and left with his sister. Later she would find Auggie and ask about leading a border patrol, but she would let him be for now. Sable sighed and sat down in front of her small living space. The bright morning sun causing her to squint slightly. Today was another boring day, but surprisingly, she liked it that way. No drama, no violence. Peaceful and relaxing.

Rosa's perkiness startled Kodiak and he gave Pharaoh one last glance before following after the smaller dog. He smiled gently and wagged his tail, "I'm coming!" he barked after her, trailing behind the fast-paced female. His eyes scanned the area of the direction she was going, and he turned his gaze back to hers. "Where are we heading?" He inquired, his tail hung low and was wagging gently.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxChase couldn’t help but feel relieved at the male’s comment of not seeing any good in hurting her. She took notice in his explanation, but the main thing was that he had voiced his opinion on it not being needed since she had in fact stayed just outside the border. She was pushing it, sure, but at the end of the day she hadn’t crossed the line. Chase took a few moments to look at the male’s own stance before she allowed her posture to relax slightly, her head lowered and her tail hung limp as she looked at the shepherd, who had also decided to stop moving per chase’s ‘request’ and for that Chase was grateful.

The loner stood paitently as the pack dog spoke. A rebel pack? she wondered. That explained why Chase had found the two packs instead of one larger one. Chase listened intently - happy with receiving any information that could cure her curiosity regarding the two packs that resided in the area - she also listened for any information that could potentially aid her.

Chase couldn’t help but tilt her head slightly as the dog spoke of suspicious behaviour at his camp - before going on to speak about his belief on the fact that there could be traitors in his pack. The fae shook her head slightly, she was suprised to say the least that the stranger had chosen to share what could potentially be quite sensitive information with her but she just guessed that it was a widely known belief around the packs. The fae thought for a few seconds before deciding to speak up, “
I’m guessing that the ‘traitors’ are believed to be working with the rebel pack?” She questioned. Chase was a loner and tended to not attract nearly as much attention as a pack dog would so perhaps she could actually be somewhat useful? She stayed nearby anyways and she could always offer to keep an eye out to see if she saw anything suspicious.

Chase scolded herself for a moment, did she really have the time or the energy to offer a pack help? Would a pack even want a loner’s help? The fae stood silently, weighing up her options. If she did offer to keep an eye out, perhaps the pack would be more lenient to how close to the borders she could go - but then there was the risk that this dog’s alpha didn’t like loners and then she could potentially bite off more than she could chew. What if this dog would go back to his camp and report her to the alpha and then they decided that they should chase her off? Chase sighed quietly as she weighed up her options.

After a minute or so of thinking Chase decided to speak again. “
I can make you a deal, if you don’t tell your alpha that I was this close to your land, then I’ll keep an eye out for any ‘suspicious’ behaviour between any of the pack dogs around here?” She bargained, She wasn’t sure just how much use she’d be, heck, did she even have the time to be playing watch dog? But it was all she had at the moment.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxDanger nodded his head. Organising patrols was something that now came as second nature to the brute. He had done it so many times that he didn’t have to think about who he wanted to send out his morning. Though a quick glance around him told the brute that not everyone seemed to be fully awaken and he didn’t really want a patrol full of dogs that were practically still sleeping.

Danger nodded his head stiffly before turning to look back at the alpha. “
amigo, I feel like the others need some more time to wake up - why not talk now?” He suggested - his voice low and dripping with his accent as he spoke. The beta was curious to know what Ontario wanted to tell him but the beauceron remained patient, keeping his expression neutral as he stood by the male. [ writer’s block sorry >.<]

~Male~Alpha of the Rebels~Mood: Tired, Concerned~Tags: Danger

After thinking for a few moments, the alpha reluctantly nodded his head. “I suppose so.” He muttered, and turned to walk into his den, checking to make sure no one was following him before disappearing into the dark hole.

Once the two males were settled, Ontario took a deep breath. “Danger,” He started “You are a great dog. A loyal friend who would do anything and I trust you completely. But, even more than that, you are a loyal beta.” Ontario looked down at his paws and clenched his jaw before looking Danger in the eye and continuing. “However, I’ve been concerned that perhaps not all dogs share your...enthusiasm.” He explained, pausing to chose his words “The Olympe Pack no doubt has traitors and cowards within their ranks.” Ontario paused and licked his lips. “How do I know that we don’t have the same problem?”

Cass nodded at her words. "Rebel pack, yes. Ontario used to be one of my packmates, until he turned." The alpha growled. His anger audible in his words. The brindled dog turned his gaze back to the female. He mentally slapped himself in the face. Why did he keep telling her these things? He sighed deeply and closed his eyes. "I can't... shouldn't be telling you these things." Cassius said, opening his eyes again and searching the loners face for any signs that she might betray him to Ontario. How could he trust this dog? For all he knew she could be working with Ontario and trying to fool him into giving her secrets. But yet he still persisted, leaking more and more private information. For some reason the alpha just felt like she could be trusted with the sensitive information, even though he wasn't sure why.

As the awkward silence lifted, Cassius turned his head and held her gaze. She finished and Cass gave a loud chuckle. This seemed like the perfect time to reveal himself.
"Well," he scoffed, his eyes bright with amusement. "darling, it seems that you have already broken that deal."

~Luna~ | Cathohoula Curr | 4M | Female | Pup | Mate: none, Pups: none | Olympe Pack
Luna gasped at Byrd'd proposition, her? Accompanying on patrol? "Id love to" the pup smiled and noticed Autumn walking over, her evergrowing belly swaying side to side. Luna was told the female was having puppies...how did they get there though? She didn't...eat them..did she? Luna knew she had to get Autumn's permission to go with Byrd. "Can I go with Byrd this morning?" she pratically begged and sweetly added "please".

xxxxxxxxxx_______________________________________________________________________________________________
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx[ female ] [ alaskan noble companion dog ] [ loner ]

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxThe fae’s ear twitched occasionally as the dog spoke. She was careful to remain silent as the male spoke harshly of ‘Ontario’. Chase would be lying if she said that she hadn’t heard of him, but she’d never actually seen the alpha - she’d only heard his name from other dogs patrolling the border when she was around. The loner chose not to interrupt, instead listening intently as the male spoke of the pack’s problems.

As the stranger stated that he shouldn’t be telling her his she thought about raising her own opinion but swiftly opted to stay quiet and allow the male to think on his next words. At the end of the day, what could she do with this information that’d be so bad for the pack? Besides, it wasn’t like she was going to waltz into the rebel territory and just repeat information they She was sure they already knew. - though it didn’t meant that the information she was receiving wasn’t useful, the fact that the two packs had a bigger feud then she originally had thought going on told her that this area would be more hostile than she first guessed with the fighting.

Chase spaced out for a few moments, trying to recollect her thoughts when the pack dog spoke once more. Her head immediately snapped up as she locked gazes with the male. What could he mean? Her gaze was hard and focused as she tried to make sense of his words. Her head was tilted - a bad habit that gave her away when she was confused or didn’t understand something, she turned her gaze to the ground for a few seconds. How could she have broken that deal? He had said that he was suspicious of his pack and all she had done was offer to keep an eye out in exchanger for their little ‘run in’ to be kept a secret from the alpha. Then suddenly the gears inside her head clicked. His pack. Alpha. oh.

Her eyes widened and she brought her gaze back up to lock with the shepherd’s, “
your the alpha.” She stated outloud, meaning for it to be a question but she already knew the answer. Chase felt stupid for not realising that sooner when he had spoken of his pack; how could she have been so blind? The loner was frustrated with herself but tried her best to mask the emotion instead. What on earth was she meant to do now?

She had made a mockery of herself - that was for sure. The urge to turn and run seemed more appealing now but the female stubbornly refused to back down and instead kept her eyes on his. “
the offer can still stand, don’t report me to your pack and I will aid you in any way possible.” She replied, doing her best to sound confident despite the internal war going on inside of her head. She didn’t want the alpha to know what she was thinking, she also didn’t want to give away her fear. This dog had the power over an entire pack, something Chase did not want to face. The alpha had seemed reasonable up until now, and she hoped that it hadn’t been a ploy.

The fae waited a response from the male, still struggling with the conflict going on inside her mind. She was playing a dangerous game now - bargaining with the alpha - but her stupid descisions had left her with little choice.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxDanger followed at Ontario’s heel, the brute had joined the pack after it had split, he had learned the history of the two, and knew their hatred for eachother but he wasn’t a first hand witness. The beauceron dipped his head as he followed the alpha into his den, his ear flicking as he checked to see if anyone else was trying to listen in on their conversation - he guessed that what Ontario wanted to tell him was something the alpha wanted to keep between them so he respectfully sat down and waited patiently for the male’s news.

The beta sat still as Ontario spoke, he would be lying if he said he wasn’t slightly confused on why Ontario was assuring him that he was trusted as a beta - though he chose to remain silent and not interrupt just yet. For now he wanted to know where Ontario was going with this.

Danger portrayed little emotion as Ontario voiced his thoughts. “
I won’t lie to you amigo, I had the same thoughts but surely the pack knows the punishment for betrayal?” He questioned - the punishment certainly wasn’t a nice one and it did make Danger question just how far some digs were willing to go.
