Astar
Greyhound | Female | 5 Years | Cage
Astar sat at the back of the cage as usual. Her head rested on her front paw, eyes scanning the space in front of them. The usual noises of pacing, claws clacking on the floor, an unknown squawking, and communication, all seemed to merge as one. The familiar voice of Amelia peaked their attention as the phone chimed. Although she couldn't understand the words, the worried tone of voice gained interest. Maybe another creature had blown their chance of freedom.
Their concentration was broken by a squeaking, mostly drowned out by the sound of Dawn shredding something. Astar's cage is near the back of the place, meaning they don't usually see other animals, only when taken for walks or let out, and as such, has to learn their surroundings through sound. This squeaking is higher pitched than a bird, and therefore must be a rodent. Most likely a rat, as it seems they were gnawing on something beforehand. Heaving herself to her paws, they slunk to the front of the cage silently and gazed outward.
