teams that all have been trained together since they were puppies. These sled dog teams Arctic Thunder and Blizzard '21 are all well
known to each other, and one thing was their weakness - when their owners would take them on a camping trip before training would start for them. The annual camping trip was upon them and Blizzard '21 was bringing another member of their team - the newest pup that would be joining the team once they were old enough to participate with the other dogs. As the two teams got settled at their usual camping ground - something seemed to make
the dogs get uneasy. Everything was fine during the afternoon everyone got fed and had fun with their fellow sled dogs. But later in the
afternoon, the two owners of the sled dogs were called and informed of a incoming Blizzard that wasn't forecasted or predicted
which placed them in a bit of a situation. Being miles away from the nearest town Owen Kingley and Nicholas James
decide to wait out the Blizzard in a near-by cave they had found during the last camping trip that they were on.
Now safe from the incoming blizzard, the men and dogs all waited in the cave. All the dogs huddled up together to keep themselves warm,
while their owners kept warm with blankets as they kept an eye out for anything as their teams rested from the journey they made. Even hours
later the blizzard hadn't changed its intensity, and it didn't help that they had only packed supplies for an overnight trip
because they need to get back for training their dogs. That is when they realized that the storm wasn't going to go away anytime soon.
Overnight turned to two day, and two days turned to four days out in the wilderness for them. They made sure that their supplies could last as long as they could between them and the dogs - but within two days, their supplies were running low and they were deciding what they should do.
The blizzard within those four days didn't still seem to lose his intensity, but surely enough it got safe enough for search crews to begin searching
for the two men. it took another day, but the two men were found wondering towards the way they had came days before hand, but without their dogs. Despite their loyalty to their dogs - those men decided they'd go back and get supplies and come back once the storm was clearer so they could get the seventeen sled dogs that were still inside of the cave where they had left them earlier that morning just before the sun would usually come up. Slowly as the dogs wake up, something feels different for them. They'd been left alone without food nor water. How would these dogs survive without their owners? But there was one thing that was for sure. They were going to try and make it home back to their owners!
