The small arabian wolf perked her ears up as June approached. "And there she is!" She smiled, her tail swaying. "We were just about to go scouting." Hathor explained as she continued to walk, with her head still facing the larger female. Hathor sniffed around, taking in the fresh air of the wilderness. She appreciated the smell of freedom. She used to like being in human custody, but she never realized how much better being free felt. It smelt so much better, too. She could smell different animals and water, instead of dirty children and snackfoods.

Siren inquires softly her brows furrowed in confusion as she looks at foxx one of the wolves she has thought of as a potential mate. These feelings confuse her making her need to groom him stronger than usual.

foxx shuffled his paws and drew his tail closer to his right thigh, unsure of how to respond to siren's odd reply. he noticed the urgency in her pale globes and anxiety nagged at his chest. he wasn't great when it came to dealing with other animal's emotions, and he desperately wanted to slip away. "no, no. there's no need to do any of that now, look, i'll go find a stream." foxx quickly slunk away, his fur brushing the cave walls. he knew he probably shouldn't be leaving the temporary den, but he didn't want anyone else to freak out over him as if he were dying, it was just a little scratch. once he came upon the entrance, his eyes feel on a sleeping ebony roused in an annoying manner by audrey. foxx couldn't help but chuckle and nod lightly in approval before sprinting out of the cave in search of a nearby water source.

as more and more of the pack woke, the back of the cave grew hot and stiff, making it inhabitable for a thick-coated wolf like stratus. her blue eyes flicked around the cavern for a trail that she could follow without running into anyone. once she found the right path, stratus slipped between groups of wolves and the walls that lined the cave. as she neared the entrance, she looked over her shoulder and sighed in relief; she had done it. as her head came back around to focus on the pines outside, she halted abruptly; she had almost walked into two of her packmates who were settled near the entrance. "oh, sorry," she said quietly, her gaze resting on her paws as she slipped around the two and faced the world that lay beyond the cave.

Siren silently watches his posture noticing the anxiety my instincts caused manifest in his actions, she replies, " I am sorry for unsettling you, ill go hunt now". Siren rises to her feet and shakes out her pelt before passing by the two male wolves Ebony and Audrey. Siren may be a female who can look after herself but that does not mean that she wants to hunt alone especially if she wants to feed more then herself, with this in thought she stops in front of the males head tilted in question. " Are you boys willing to go hunting with me ?".

Audrey kept his mouth closed as tight as possible, trying his hardest not to laugh at the clearly annoyed wolf. He pulled back when Ebony swatted at his tail and paused his tickling before starting up once again, this time he directed his attack to Ebony's furry ears. He knew that Ebony would be less than joyful that he had woken him up but opportunities such as this where far too good to pass up. 'If I had mud or something more than my tail, this would have been far more entertaining.' He thought with a soft laugh.

June stopped beside Hathor, placing her rump on the leafy ground with a goofy smile, "I'm glad I made it in time!" She replied to the smaller wolf beside her. Although they were different species of wolf, June had always thought of her as one of her siblings, feeling rather protective over her although she knew Hathor could handle herself quite well in certain situations. June soon caught eye of Audrey at the entrance of the cave, it seemed as if he was trying to wake her grouchy brother up, in a rather annoying manner. June kept her eyes on what was happening, just until the patrol started and to make sure nothing... Serious happened..

Ebony

Ebony's expression and body relaxed once more as the tickling stopped, or at least for a short moment before he could feel the tickling move to his sensitive ears. Ebony attempted not to react but when a rough piece of hair pricked the inside of his ear, a low grumble escaped his throat and his eyelids blinked open, revealing dark amber orbs staring up at Audrey. His expression obviously showed that he wasn't happy, at all. Just before Ebony could teach Audrey a lesson about ever waking him up again, his attention was caught by Siren and although his eyes were still locked onto Audrey, his ears twitched to her question. The larger male forced himself up with a sigh, giving Audrey one last hard glare before hesitantly answering Sirens question, "Sure... Whatever." He replied bluntly.

foxx grumbled angrily to himself, occasionally stumbling over roots that jutted out of the ground. anyone could tell that the red wolf was not in a good mood. he was particularly angry at the sharp stone that had ruined his morning, it had led him up to this moment after all. he lifted his nose towards the tree canopy and took in a breath. the scents of the forest tickled his nostrils, filling him with an odd calm. foxx pricked his ears, swiveling them this way and that in search of a trickling stream. he could smell water, but he wasn't sure if it was the coming rain or a creek.

stratus sat in the clearing that was nestled before the cave, staring up at the sky with wonder. sheets of gray clouds stretched across the horizon, concluding her prediction of an approaching storm. her bright, blue globes quickly moved to focus on a dark-feathered raven that circled overhead. her neck twisted this way and that to keep her gaze focused on it's trail, and she barked in disappointment as it soared over the pines. something in her mind told her that she should follow it, and stratus pricked her ears with interest. although she knew well that this could bring quite a load of trouble in her direction, her curiosity bested her and she slunk quietly towards the pines. before disappearing behind the wall of dark trunks, stratus glanced back in the direction of the cave, wondering if this little adventure was the right decision. she pushed aside her fear and brushed through the foliage, occasionally glancing up at the patches of sky to make sure the raven was still in view. she also looked over her shoulder, just in case she had an unwelcome tagalong. cough

Eira watched them all come over. She smiled, many of them had already gathered. Eira lifted her snout in the air, sniffing many of things that surrounded her. Somehow, she actually kind of liked it out here. She liked better than being inside a cage where you cannot explore as much. She brought her snout back down again and looked at the small group of scouts. "Alright, is everyone ready to go?" She asked, eager to get out and explore the wilderness that lays ahead of them.

Audrey just grinned in return to Foxx's nod, only to look back and nearly laugh aloud as Ebony opened his eyes and glared up at him. That normally would have been the point where Audrey got chased around or something but thanks to Siren, that part was skipped today. "Sure, don't see why not!" He resounded happily, flicking his tail while trotting up to her side. Siren, Ebony, and himself were going hunting, this was bound to be boats of fun.
