Male β’ Scout β’ 3 Years β’ Red Wolf β’ Bisexual β’ Tagged: Hathor, Eira, Tao
The warmth. The comfort. It was all his tired mind could focus on. Yet it did prevent him from actually awaking. Yesterday had been tough. A long day, that had taken the energy from Alec. Wolves here believed they were free. But were they? In ways, Alec felt more trapped than ever. The zoo was safe. No predators, meals practically handed to them, and best of all, no hunters. Not that he knew exactly what they were. Alec had just heard stories. Rouge humans that searched relentlessly to kill. Common out here in the wild. It amazed him how calm some wolves seemed to be. Some were genuinely happy to make their return to the wild. But for Alec, it was scary.
Soon, holding on to sleep became harder as noises entered his peaceful mind. Voices, howls, and within seconds, his eyes snapped open. Recognising the voice as Hathor, he scrambled to his paws, and ran off to join the rallying scouts. βSorry Iβm late. I didnβt keep you, did I?β He beamed at both females, his form barely higher than either. For a male, he was quite little. Some would find it embarrassing. But not Alec. He embraced it.

Her form stalked through the brush, her large paws silent as she inched forward at a slowed pace. βNow...how do I do this again.β She uttered under her breath as she closed in. She wasnβt much of a hunter anymore. But as the pack slept, she had decided to head out and chance her luck. And to her surprise, that was exactly what happened. Serai had come across a rather plump hare, finding it burrowing into the undergrowth just ahead. And to her relief, it was unaware of the deadly eyes that watched it. It started to scurry away, but Serai was the first to move. Her body surged forward, her paws landing heavily on the small animal. She dispatched it quick with a fatal bite then began her return to the pack.
Serai wouldnβt say she was hungry. It was more of a practice run. She was returning to the wild, so her skills had to be polished up. It was her hunting skills that caused her previous downfall. Not to mention the loss of her pups. Serai growled, snapping herself out of this sorrowful mood. No. It wouldnβt happen again. She wouldnβt let it. Serai found her way back to camp, Robyn being the first wolf she saw. After reminiscing over her memories, her appetite was practically non existent. There was no use in letting this meal go to waste. She smirked as she heard his stomach growl. βHey, Robyn? You sound pretty hungry there. Want some?β The hare dropped with a thud in front of the small male and Serai sat opposite him with a slightly tilted head.
