After an ice age wiped out the human species, the world is working to rebuild itself, to craft nature anew. However, the creatures that did survive are not free and clear yet. While the plant life and prey have returned in the southern areas, the weather is still unpredictable, throwing sudden ice storms and blizzards down to the earth. And with limited space, a pack of dogs, descended from pets that lost their owners in the ice age, was pushed into the territory of a long standing wolf pack. With tensions at an all time high, the two must come to an agreement. But, how can they? With the strict and traditional wolf pack unwilling to give up their land to a group of pets, and the dogs with no where left to turn, the situation is bleak.

Wolf Pack Rules
One. Aplha's word is law. Do not disobey.
Two. The pack eats in the hierarchy order with the alpha eating first and omega last.
Three. The omega is at the bottom of the pack and must obey orders from all pack members. They may not have a mate or participate in pack activities.
Four. To climb ranks in the pack, you may either wait for the alpha to promote you or challenge a higher ranking pack member for their position.
Five. Patrols must be made every morning and hunts take place every afternoon.
Six. You must always remain loyal to the pack.
Seven. Outsiders are not welcome in pack territory. If they wish to join, they must challenge and beat a wolf of the alpha's choosing and then will be placed into a rank if they win.


Dog Pack Rules
One. Accept all in need of help.
Two. Do not fight with other pack members.
Three. All food is shared evenly among pack members.
Four. Responsibilites will be shared by all members and decided each morning.

Ice hung heavily on Ronan’s thick fur, glistening in the late morning sun. The bulky wolf layed out in the fluffy snow, watchful eyes scanning over his pack’s camp. Things seemed peaceful enough, though Ronan knew the tough conditions, the cold and scarcity of prey, often lead to brittle tension and breakout arguments. The pitiful pet dogs were another problem entirely, growing more daring and getting closer to his territory. Letting out a huff, his breath misting in the frigid air, Ronan rose to his paws.

Sage snapped the brittle bone of a rabbit’s leg beneath her teeth. With food scarce, hunger often gnawed at her stomach, forcing her to rip every last bit of thin gristle from the prey’s frail bones. Even once the meat was gone, she often resorted to chewing the remaining bones, the gamey flavor still sticking to the hard surface. Now, though, it really wasn’t sating Sage’s hunger. Dropping the bone fragments to the crystalline snow below, Sage debating going off on a hunt, or at least asking Jeremey, their leader, for advice on what to do about the lack of food.

jeremy >> the doberman sat down inside his den, processing everything. the most important thing the pack needed as of now was food. they were barely surviving on what they had. jeremy was determined improve the pack as much as possible. the doberman's eyes scanned the pack camp, it was fairly small but it had to do for the time being. he spotted sage, so he walked over. "sage, would you accompany me on a small hunting trip? or at least to find a good hunting spot?" the alpha male asked sage, hoping she'd say yes.

While she was weighing her options, Sage spotted Jeremy across the snowy flat. She watched the large, elegant dog pad across camp, stopping at her side. At his request, Sage let her feathered tail wag hopefully. It was like he’d read her mind. “I’d love to assist you,” Sage said politely, trying to keep a bit of her eagerness out of her voice. While Jeremy likely knew everyone was hungry, Sage preferred not to make too big a fuss about it, since she knew every dog was doing their part to help the pack.

jeremy >> jeremy smiled, "thank you, we will head out in about 5 minutes. we will be gone til we find some decent hunting grounds or til we get some prey for the pack." the alpha said, informing sage on the hunting trip. it wouldn't be too long, just to get some food for the hungry pack. jeremy also spotted ace, the pack deputy, trotting up to him. "hey ace, sage and i are heading on a quick hunting trip to hopefully find some prey or at least decent hunting grounds. please make sure that the pack camp is safe while were out." jeremy said to the deputy, he trusted ace a lot and never doubted him.

nadia, feeling bouncy, decided to hop up out of
bed bright and early. with a small grin on her maw,
the white furred female wolf sat on her rump and
began licking her paw for just a few seconds before
her attention was brought to some bug on the snow
that soon flew away, just as nadia pounced for the
bug, she felt the icy cold snow pressed against her
face. lifting herself from the faceplant, the female
shook her pelt to free it of the cold snow. nadia
immediately felt her stomach grumble softly and
groaned quietly, the white shewolf flopped her
self onto the cold snowy ground and layed her
head on her paws.

the irritable german shepherd flicked one ear and shook
her fur to wake herself up. with one huff, she rose
to her paws and let out a big yawn. haven quickly
carried herself towards an area where there were less
dogs, with a smile she shook her multi-colored pelt
and sat her butt in the snow. she enjoyed the quiet.

While Ronan’s sharp gaze scanned over the pack, it eventually settled on Nadia. The white wolf blended with the snow when she flopped down onto her belly, only her dark nose and eyes sticking out against the powdery surface. As most of the pack did in the bleak and quiet times, she seemed to have some spare time on her paws. Ronan thought it would best to fill that time and give her a job to do. “Nadia,” Ronan barked, his authoritative voice calling the she-wolf over.

Glad Jeremy approves of her help, Sage listened carefully to his instructions. She typically wasn’t the top choice for going out on a hunt, but she appreciated the opportunity to help the pack. Padding a few steps behind Jeremy, Sage watched as he informed Ace of their trip. While she was waiting, Sage stretched out her legs, bowing down until her ribs almost touched the snow. It had been a while since she had really had the chance to run, and she looked forward to the chance to warm up her cold, stiff muscles.
