Letting out a soft chuckle, Aiku uses his paw to wipe the remaining strands of the plant from his head. Even in a sitting position, the brute still rose a few inches above Ari, and he cocks his head to the side, looking slightly down at her with a smile. "Right, because us wolves make such excellent fishers." He woofs in a joking tone. The sun had begun its journey back down towards the horizon, and in its place a thick, rolling storm cloud made itself noticeable. There was a cool breeze slowly replacing the warm one, and waters that previously shone bright and clear were turning dark and opaque. "I was planning to scout out a new hunting area tonight," he woofs to the she-wolf, scanning the landscape with his soft eyes. "though I think my recon partner has been captivated in a game of 'food theft', so I'm going to take off here shortly to get a head start on this weather working its way in." He says with a half smile as he rises to his paws.

Karina tilted her head slightly before pushing herself up to all fours, and nearly slipped on some slippery rocks. She managed her balance and sniffed the air around her. Something didn't seem right to her and it only made her wary. Golden amber eyes that usually held a friendly gleam in them, seemed to disappear. The wind began picking up and the reddish brown she wolf jumped onto the ledge and slowly crouched halfway to the ground. Her tail hung low at her hocks, yet she remaind calm and collective as she began to check out the unfamiliar scent.

Feeling a strange warmth rise to her cheeks as the brute chuckles softly, the shapely she-wolf quickly turns her head to address Karina "Maybe so, but I'm sure you would catch a fish before you'd loose a fight to it." Her bright yellow eyes glance back at Aiku with a slight smirk on her maw. "Some of us actually can fish."As a large cool gust sweeps through the camp Ari closes her eyes as the wind ruffles her umber pelt, the smell of fresh rain already filling her nostrils. "It's best you're not gone too long, rainfall will come sooner than you think." The ample fae opened her eyes and turned to scowl at Jarra "That might be for the best, she would scare off any prey in the area either by being clumsy or just talking too much. I don't understand how she hasn't become an omega." Arihi clears her throat before turning back to Aiku with a softer expression. "If you would like, I could accompany you on this scouting trip. I'm interested to see where this place-- " She cuts herself off as she spots Karina acting cautious, following the fae's eyes to see if she could spot the unfamiliar. Ari slowly rises to her paws, ears and tail alert as she scans their surroundings. "What is it Karina?" The female growled quietly as she took a few steps to stand behind the younger female.

Aiku nods once to acknowledge Ari’s offer. “You’re definitely welcome to join me. Two noses are better than one.” His expression slowly sinking to a skeptical, serious one, the dark male lowers his head and ears and sniffs the air sweeping along the earth in the direction Karina stands alert to.

The fae flicked her ear towards the direction of Arihi and adjusted her position. "I thought I felt something watching us.... Not sure what it was, but it doesnt smell like a wolf. Not human either. But it seems gone.... I'll talk to the lead guard and see if we can scout out the area before you guys head out." the small young fae said, looking over her shoulder.

The large she-wolf raised her muzzle and sniffed the air, turning her head a few directions to try to catch the now fading scent just to make sure it was not human. It had been so long since she had seen a human, and she had no interest in encountering another one. Still to this day the bramble fae could remember being surrounded by the smell of rust and emissions, everything stunk and tasted of metal back then. Arihi quickly shook her head before the memories could return, lowering her muzzle and turning away as if to be scanning the area. "I don't think there will be any need for that. It was most likely a fox which won't bother us, probably just looking for scraps. Besides, I had just returned from a patrol and I did not smell anything strange or see any new prints." The fae glanced back over at Yabo and Jarra as the two wrestled for the meat. "I'd rather not wait around for those two to finish their game, we were trying to return before the rain starts. I think having one guard accompany us will be enough"The she-wolf turned back to Karina, dropping her hindquarters with a serious but questioning expression on her face. "Will your mother be okay with you accompanying us? Or am I going to never hear the end of this once we return? Don't. Lie." Ari's eyes narrow as she speaks, making sure the young fae couldn't avoid telling the truth.

The fae relaxed herself, easing into a more relaxing position. She glanced over at where her mother and Thorn were sitting and sighed softly. "She wont mind, she knows I take guard duty seriously." Karina said, looking back at the other fae. "You wouldn't mind if I tagged along would you?" she added, and stretched out her frame.

Yabo cocked an eyebrow at Jarra's remark, flattening his ears playfully at the fae. "You're talking to the Lead Guard right now," the brute growled back at his packmate, pretending to be angry. After Yabo successfully tripped her up, he lunged towards the meat, picking it up triumphal in his jaws. "That's how wolves really guard," he told Jarra, turning to face her with his tail giving a slight wag. But before Yabo could do or say anything else, he spotted Karina acting different. The guard dropped his meat before making his way to the alpha's daughter and Arihi. Hearing their little exchange, Yabo's thick pelt began to bristle but he forced his fur to lie back down along his flank. "Maybe we should check it out," he said, stopping in front of the two faes. "Just to make sure it isn't a terrible danger to the pack."

The fae flicked an ear back to hear the lead guard,Yabo, behind them. She turned to face him and then glanced back at the other fae. "It is totally her call really. I'll befine with whatever really. Just gotta be quick before the sky opens up on us." she said, lookig up at the looming dark scary clouds.
