They don’t want you to leave alive. Your only choice is to rebuild your home and find mates so that you can provide for future generations and keep the pack alive

↠It was early morning, the light golden rays of the sun barely peaking over the tops of the pine trees. Lily let out a huff and pulled herself up from her sleeping position. The dens weren’t really settled yet so no one really had a place to sleep. The female let out a quiet yawn and slowly walked to the edge of their new territory. No one else was up but she figured they would be soon, considering they still had a lot of work to do before this would even be a suitable home for them to reside in. She sighed thinking about their old home and how simple it used to be. Now they are in danger of being attacked by the nukapana pack and more causalities were the last thing this pack needed.

↠ Ryxx has been awake from an early hour. On sleepless nights, which were pretty much every night, he sets out to hunt being that’s what he’s good at. Plus, he enjoys the time he has without being bothered by his pack mates. While they are his packmates, he can still only barely stand them. Sure, he could make it on his own but he’d rather rely on a pack. With a grunt he picked up his kill, a small rabbit, and began trotting back to the densite. He expected many of his pack mates to be up soon therefore he would be dropping this off for whoever was hungry enough to eat it.

another morning came onto vorsakh's territory. this time he had ventured outside of his own land and into the charred remains of fire torn valleys and plateaus. he padded silently along a still flowing river in the morning light, the rush hour had begun as critters flew down from the trees and smaller land dwelling creatures crawled out of their dens.

vors was mostly ignored aside from a few rabbits jumping out of his way. as he walked, the idea of the river intrigued him more and more. this river, who's territory he didn't know it belonged to, was playing a huge part of all these little bits of prey and their livelihoods. stopping to cross the river, vorsakh paused and thought, what if we took this river from the macawi? it was no surprise that as soon as the rivaling pack had begun to rebuild from the fire, the nukpana pack had already begun planning how to take them out. they already had dwindling numbers, why not knock them down more?

placing his first foot forward into the icy water, vorsakh quickly made his way across the river and back on the path to the camp. he'd need to chat with his warriors and hunters.

Alaki rolled onto her back in her den, stretching her legs for a moment before sighing contentedly. She had gotten a good nights sleep and the day before had restocked on all of her herbs and remedies that were dwindling. After a few more minutes the female decided to start her day, rolling onto her paws and bowing down to stretch her long legs and back before padding her way out of her den. As she gazed around the camp, Alaki stretched her jaws in a large yawn. There didn’t seem to be many of her packmates awake yet. With that thought the female lifted her nose to the air and took in a deep breath, sorting through the scents of her packmates and the fading scent of herbs as the breeze ruffled her fur. Alaki moved to the left of her dens enterance and sat in a stream of sunlight, closing her eyes and enjoying the warmth. She didn’t really have a lot left to do, though she did need more mint, which she hadn’t been able to get the day before. Most of where it grew was near the Macawi’s burnt land, but there were a few other places she could look as well even though she recalled them to be outside of Nukpana territory. With a gentle sigh the female laid down carefully, crossing her front paws and gazing out across the camp at nothing as she thought. I’ll have to speak to Vorsakh about having a warrior come with me to collect some. Alaki thought to herself as she rested her head on her paws.

Reno flew up from his position, disturbing the other sleeping wolves around him before stumbling away quickly. The fire. His dreams were not always haunted by it but this night, one of the first that they had actually had a place to sleep, his nightmare was filled with the sounds of his parents howling from the depths of the fire, the light blinding and heat burning Reno as he tried to get closer to help. It felt so real to the hunter that when he had woken he was severely disoriented. Reno couldn’t see, he shook his head back and forth frantically, trying to rid the bright light from his eyes all while nearing other sleeping packmates. Suddenly his paws caught on something and he tumbled headfirst to the ground. When the male sat up he slowly opened his eyes to be greeted with the angry sight of Zhalli staring back at him. So it was her that I fell over. Reno thought, though he still felt shaken from his more than lifelike dream, the acrid stench of smoke still stinging his nose. “Hey, Zhalli.” He gritted out sheepishly. “Morning, sorry about that.” Reno glanced away from her, feeling awkward at his appology, as he didn’t say sorry usually.

Malik had woken hours before the sun had risen and decided to wander around the territory, putting his poor hunting skills into function, the large brute managed to catch a woodchuck much to his satisfaction. It wasn’t much and he had spent way too much time waiting to pounce, yet Malik still made it a point to feel good with his catch. Silently the male padded to a soft looking spot in the undergrowth and laid down with his meal before he started quickly tearing the fur off of the rodent.
Quite a bit of time had passed since Malik had finished his meal and was currently watching the sky lighten with the early morning sun. With a content sigh, Malik hauled himself to his paws before turning and padding further into the forest, ending up at the river where he paused to lap at the icy water. The sudden scent of another wolf caught his attention and he whipped his head to the side, catching sight of his Alpha making his way down a worn path to the camp. Malik took one last drink before turning on his paws and trotting to catch up with his leader. The Alpha looked deep in thought and it intrigued the large male. Malik let out a small bark so that his presence was known before he sidled up to the Alpha, looking at him out of the corner of his eye and dipping his head down slightly in respect. “Alpha,” Malik greeted, voice gravely from not being used. “Mind if I accompany you back to camp?”

Xanthe was spaced a short distance away from the rest of the macawi pack members that were in camp, her eyes staring deep in the forest, lost in thought. It had been a sleepless night; The horrific memories of the fire repeated in her mind, the horrendous howls of agony echoing within her. She wished to forgot it all, though she knew the damage could never be reversed. The fire wounded them all, she knew it well. But it was behind them, and now more issues were barreled at the Macawi.

Laurel had been awake long before the sun rose. She stood still as a statue, eyes focused on a point in the distance, but not really seeing much. The wildlife sounds around her filled her mind, leaving her staring off into space. She wasn't really thinking of anything either, just following the warbles of the birds and rustling of small creatures in the grass. She took a breath, letting the familiar scents of the forest wash over her. With a couple blinks, she pulled herself back into reality, eyes darting around. Her eyes met Alaki's eyes and Laurel acknowledged the healer with a nod. She respected healers for the work they did- after all, many lives were saved thanks to their work in all the years that the pack had survived through.

Griseo's eyes fluttered open as he awoke with a start. He stood still a short while, letting his eyes adjust to the light. With a content growl, he stretched his weary limbs, loosening his tight muscles. Finally, he quietly yawned got up from his position on the ground. In his mind's eye, he could still see the glowing flames of the fire that had ravaged his home and quietly appreciated being alive. He lifted his snout to the air, glad that he could hear, smell and see- even if what he sensed brought him nothing but homesickness.

vors walked along the trail back to the dens looking solemn, but masterfully working up how to bring this plan to his wolves. the scent of fresh blood caught vorsakh's attention and pulled him out of the state he was walking in. the bark that came next was enough to completely pull the alpha's mind away from his plans for a short moment.

"morning, malik." he spoke softly. "i don't mind at all if you walk back to camp with me, i need to make an announcement as the wolves wake. i have a plan to dwindle the macawi numbers even more then they are now." the alpha didn't say much more, letting his thoughts turn into vapor in the morning air.

the female was soundly asleep this morning, her mind was clear of the smoke and danger of the pack's most recent past. she had been previously sleeping soundly, until what felt like a log thundered down onto her back.

zhalli coughed and spluttered out, trying to regain her breath as she violently woke. using her front paws she lifted the top half of herself up, but as soon as whatever had dropped on her came down, it rose again. zhalli had a short period of time where she blindly looked into the morning sun and back again, getting acostumed to the sights and sounds of the morning, like a newborn pup would.

finally after a few moments, zhalli was back on the ground and looking up at what had crashed into her, reno. zhalli nipped and barked at the male, upset that she was awoken so roughly. she huffed at his good morning before standing back up on her feet, with little wobbling. "thank you for waking me up, reno. good morning." she snapped, she knew she'd apologize later for her grouchiness, but it seemed okay to be snapping at her pack mate for now.
