Ember watched as the cat spoke quietly, did he think she couldn't hear? She isn't like most house cats she was taught how to survive and never forgot. She stayed quiet but sat down her left ear bent back as she listened. "I hope I'm not causing you two any trouble...." She meowed quietly loud enough for them to hear though.

Rome twitched his ears, his posture changing to a more curious one after the other cat’s greeting. She didn’t seem hostile- at least, not yet. “Uh, hello...” the former housecat greeted carefully before turning to face Ryu. “Well, I don’t necessarily think it’s your fault. See that open window?” He murmured and nodded his chin to the opening. The toyger stopped his explanation at Ryu’s growl, pausing to hear him out. “Hm, alright.” He concluded his decision and turned around, curtly nodding to the She-cat. “I’m Rome, and no worries. We will be going now.” At that he turned and followed after Ryu. Once safely in the tunnel, the striped cat twitched his whiskers thoughtfully. “I don’t think she’d pose too much of a threat, and she could still follow our smells you know.” He mewed quietly and risked a glance back. He wasn’t sure why he had announced his name, but it probably had something to do with the newness of it.

Ember smiled with a nod, "alright then safe travels!" She meowed to the two standing now she glanced up at the sky. Well those two didn't seem bad for allycats? Ember though to herself jumping for a second, 'oh dear was it rude I didn't introduce myself??' she asked herself quietly before turning to look at the two who were padding away, with a sigh she looked down at the gravel path pawing at it. 'boo I was hoping to explore more but I'm not sure it's safe I just got outside and already ran into some other cats.... And there's no way tell if others will be as hostile' Ember mewed to herself quietly.

ryu stared at the new cat, then blinked and shook himself out of a daze. "no, we're going now." he looked over at rome, confused as to why he'd introduced himself. at this point, he turned himself around in the tight space and trotted down the tunnel to a part where there was a bend, space to rest for a moment. it was muddy from recent downpour and sure wasn't the place for a housecat. "she didn't seem to be much of a threat, no, but you never know with those tricky she-cats." he paused to consider rome's next comment. "yeah she could. here, roll in the mud," he told the tom, lowering himself to the ground and getting mud all over him. the mud was cool on his back and coated his fur in seconds. "this'll cover up our scent, not that she'll end up following, but just to be safe." with that, he looked down the tunnel the way they'd came. empty. "just as i thought."
