Aʀᴄᴀᴅɪᴀ !!

female - stray - two years & eight months - tags: aria

arcadia was still wary as the she-cat stepped out from the cover of the bush. however, once she apologized for sneaking up on her and sat down she felt herself grow more calm than before. she herself sat down as well, her dark tail-tip flicking back and forth with curiosity. she had met quite a few cats in her day, and she had never even come across the scent of this molly. plus, most cats were hostile and preferred to be alone, so she couldn't help but wonder why she approached her. "no, no you're fine. i'm just used to being approached solely by those who wish to have their ears clawed off," she chuckled, though it was slightly a warning as she was still suspicious of the feline. it was just in arcadia's nature to be questioning and wonder what the intentions of others were. "if you don't wish to fight, aria," she paused, liking how her name flowed from her mouth. "then we are just fine." she paused once again to lick her shoulder fur, noticing a small tuft was sticking out. once it was flat, she turned her baby blue eyes back to aria. "my name is arcadia. so you are a stray huh? you look too pretty and pampered for a stray," she commented, looking the white she-cat over with interest.

Fʟɪᴄᴋᴇʀ !!

male - housecat - one year & four months - tags: gladiator, xerxes

flicker smiled while he listened, sitting down once again and wrapping his long tail around his small paws. he was grateful for all that gladiator had done to help him, and that he was still willing to help. he looked to where the older tomcat motioned, a dark alley across the street. he made a mental not of it, so he wouldn't forget. he figured if he was ever in trouble or needed a place to stay for a bit, gladiator would have his back. flicker nodded, swallowing before speaking. "that's great, thank you again! i'll try to remember that alley," he meowed. when he noticed him eyeing the mouse that the large black cat had been eating, he looked at his paws with embarrassment. he wasn't super hungry yet, but he knew he would be if he was planning on never going back to the place he once called home. now, his home could be wherever he wanted. "yeah, that would be helpful. i have no idea on how to catch mice, let alone where to even find them! i assume they like to be around trash? or would that be more of a rat territory?" he questioned, cocking his head to the side with interest.

    ‣ vandi followed close behind the larger she-cat, perking her ears as she listened to listened to her words. she couldn't help but feel excited, the idea of going on her first hunt made her heard race. she gasped when she saw the she-cat. she trotted up to her, standing beside ivy. "yep, we've been together for ten years." vandi chuckled, nudging ivy teasingly.

Gladiator/stray/tags: Flicker

Gladiator gave an impressed glance to the housecat at his guess. “Yeah, well done. Both of them actually hang around the trash, but mice will always be pretty much anywhere. C’mon.” He invited, getting up to move out of the alley away from where the younger cat’s owners had been. “Rats can be kind of dangerous sometimes though, so you don’t want to get the two rodents mixed up. Oh, and while they’re rare, a few other animals might fine their ways in those kinds of areas, so I’d be careful around them. Luckily mice seem to be anywhere around houses, so as long as theres human food for them to eat and places for them to hide, the place is fair game.” The bigger cat stopped when he arrived at the next house with a yard, his head swivelling around to catch onto any signs of prey.

Ivy/stray/tags: Vandi, Iris

The She-cat stiffened at the new cat’s assumption, her fur fluffing up involuntarily. “Right out where humans with dogs can come bother you? And... uh...” She trialed off, her tail lashing from side to side in embarrassment. Did it seem like she and Vandi were on a date? Though Ivy wasn’t one to hang out with others very often, it must not have been too uncommon for two cats to hang out? Before the Scottish fold could say anything else, she felt her new friend’s presence next her and a small nudge. Vandi’s joke only silenced her further, though she didn’t exactly move away from the two. “I... um... I’m teaching her how to hunt...” she eventually voiced, embarrassed about how big of a deal the teasing was to her.

ryu grinned at the goofy face his new acquaintance made when talking about his everyday meals. "ick, no, i couldn't live on those crunchy, dry little rocks. even that wet mush i've heard you housecats get sounds disgusting. i'd prefer a good mouse or bird any day, though a stray can't be too picky." he sped up slightly as he spoke, wanting to get past the busiest streets and intersections before the morning rush. "don't worry, you'll get used to it, you just have to spend enough time out here and it becomes a home. and- yeah, it does get really busy, especially during early morning and evening." he explained, keeping his pace even though he noticed as rome came to a gradual stop, but figured he'd catch up, which he did.

S ɴ ᴏ ᴡ ᴅ ʀ ᴏ ᴘ
↳ female | 2.3 yrs | straight | ragdoll | housecat |

snowdrop twitched an ear as they passed what rocky called his favorite foodplace. "wait, you mean a restaurant? yeah, i've been to one of those before. i used to get free food all the time with my old friends at a place like this." she sighed, remembering what her old home was like. as she glanced at the annoyed-looking old man, she said, "oh, hates? that's a strong word. i wonder why he doesn't like us... maybe something happened to him." she smiled grimly. "is that what you street cats do for a living, steal and scavenge?"

snowdrop snorted and then shook her head indignantly. "i know how people work, my friend. it takes a lot to hate something..." she trailed off, realizing it was a pointless argument on a stupid subject and looked around. "yeah, i can imagine. us housecats get fed at certain times each day, forming a routine pattern. i guess our bodies get used to eating everyday at those times and we grow to expect food then." she sighed, feeling slightly bad for strays in general. "so were you born on the streets? what's your motivation to stay away from humans?" she questioned, genuinely wondering and also wanting to have the information stored for later. her whiskers twitched and her stomach growled as they passed another restaurant that had a delicious smell of meat drifting away from it.

Owl

"you won't ever learn to soar if you aren't willing to get over your fear of heights"
⚲ (he/they)|pansexual|15 moons|housecat|location: house| tags: open !

owl purred as one of their humans absent-mindedly scratched behind their ears, causing the young feline to happily rub up against her arm. "emily ! hurry up we're going to be late !" the woman said, her voice slightly impatient but in more of a playful tone. finally, a second human came down the stairs, a smile beaming on her face. "sam, chill out, we always need to be just a bit fashionably late." sam rolled her eyes, "alright, fine, fine ! let's just go already." "we'll be back soon, okay owl? your kitty-door is open as always, just in case you want to explore, but don't get lost, alright?" She cooed, leaning down and kissing the top of the felines head before exiting the house along with emily. owl stared after them, their thin tail flicking up in the air as the jumped onto the window to watch them leave.

Gladiator/stray/tags: Flicker, Xerxes

The large cat’s tail swept around his paws, his whiskers twitching as he listened to the other cat. He dipped his head with yet another shrug, glad to have at least given Flicker and eye-opening meeting. “Hm. I guess that is up to you to decide. If you ever need me though, I’ll be wandering around. Likely in high places.” He couldn’t deny that he felt a bit of worry for this cat, but he was quick on his paws. Gladiator flicked his ears, continuing to watch Flicker thoughtfully. “A fresh start is good, but you do have to remember that most of the other cats you will meet have many more months of experience with being out here. You’ll be welcome in my alley any time.” He finished, nodding to a darker space between a couple of buildings across the street- the place he had been taking a nap before they met. Noticing the younger tom eyeing the mouse, Gladiator gave an amused sniff. “Do you at least want me to show you how to get a bite around here?”

Ivy/stray/tags: Vandi, Iris

Ivy looked sharply over to the dog, watching it carefully until she could see that it was on a leash. Her eyes returned to the new cat and looked her over with the hope that her embarrassment hadn’t effected her view of her too much. “Well, we did come from a short way off. The park is closer than the woods, and there are still plenty of birds here if not squirrels.” She commented, looking up to where numerous birds had settled in the trees as opposed to surrounding buildings. “Plus the forest is a bit too big for a beginner. Have you seen anything good around?” The Scottish fold wondered, looking at Vandi and Iris as they introduced themselves. “I’m Ivy, it’s nice to make your acquaintance.” She eventually piped up after concluding that this Iris didn’t seem like a bad cat. “You a stray?”

Tiger Rome/housecat/tags: Ryu

Rome sniffed in amusement at the rant about his food, a small grin slipping onto his face as he followed the stray. “Yeah, I tried to eat the human’s food as much as I could. The meat is still good, though though they don’t like it raw. It still beats having fur and feathers still on it.” He pointed out, his eyes still wandering the city. He repeatedly fell behind slightly as he was stunned by the sights, though always sped up to Ryu’s speed every couple of seconds. “Still, even for a home this seems like a lot to remember. All the streets look the same.” The toyger pointed out and twitched his whiskers. The cars on the freeway looked dangerous, and they were fast and wouldn’t stop coming. Every time they crossed a road the black and white feline would try to only touch the asphalt as much as he needed, nothing more. “Um, if you don’t mind, where exactly are we going?” The housecat eventually wondered aloud. The other cat had offered help, which the former pet agreed to gratefully, but he still didn’t know where they were going to hunt. Or what, for that matter.
