Kayla hears Cannon's orders and immediately follows her leader towards the rock, running at full speed. Leaping as hard as she can, she reaches the rock safely. "Is Sage okay?" she asked Cannon, worried for the pup.

Feeling teeth meet her scruff, she gasped as her head was pulled out of the water. Coughing, she realized Battle had a hold of her as he precariously balanced himself on a small rock. She tried to stay still, not wanting to cause him to lose his balance and fall in.

"She is fine," he panted out before turning his head to see the rushing water. It was coming fast and he was about to hop up but noticed Thorn was struggling. He quickly lowered himself back down on the ground and went behind Thorn. Using his shoulders, he managed to push the other male onto the rock in time but didn't have enough time to get himself up. He barely managed to brace his body before a wave of water hit him. He felt his body roll with the force of the water, soon unable to tell what was up and down as he rolled and tumbled about in the water. He was carried away by the flood.

She watched in horror as the father of her pups was hit by the water and disappeared. She wanted to call out to him but couldn't as she didn't dare set Atemu down. All she could do was watch him vanish and hope that he will be okay.

Managing to reach a small rock in time, the water surged around it and a thin veil of it rushed over the top of the rock. Watching the water intently, he saw some fur and quickly stretched his neck out and managed to clamp onto it. Realizing it was Sierra's scruff, he held on tightly and lifted his head to try and keep her nose above the water. He struggled to stay on the rock and keep her head above the water.

Struggling to get up, he felt something push his back end up and realized it was Cannon. He managed to turn in time to see the water slam into their leader. Hearing Sage's yell out to her dad, he quickly wrapped a paw around her to stop her from falling in. "Don't! It's too dangerous right now. Your father is tough. We will find him once the water goes down. He'll be fine."

"I'm not from this area. I was born somewhere else." He said as he laid down. "Are you going to disappear once the rain stops? I wouldn't mind if you wanted to stay in my den for a bit. It gets lonely at times and the pack near here keeps chasing me off their territory. Can't help it if they have pretty females though. You are rather pretty yourself."

She sees Cannon get swept away right before her eyes, horror clearly shown as she feared for the coyote she loves. "Cannon no!" she cried, horror being heard from her voice.

Rayala's golden eyes looked to Dakota. "I couldn't run if i wanted to, but yes, i'll stay. Thank you." she said. She then groomed her pelt, straightening every stray hair and picking out the burrs. Feeling a cactus needle in her tail, she cringed. Normal coyotes would yelp when it was pulled but she just gritted her teeth, growling a little as she pulled the needle.

Astral was frantic as she tried to take cover on the rocks. She managed to jump onto a rock along with Thorn an Kayla.When the wave came she stepped back, nearly falling into the water below. Hearing Kayla's cries, she looked shocked as Cannon was swept away.

The water was beginning to slow down and was a little calmer than before but it was still dangerous. However, it allowed him to let Sierra go as she managed to squeeze onto the rock with him. Jaw and neck aching from having held her for so long, his ear twitched and he glanced over to where Kayla was. "Where's Cannon?" He asked, having missed what happened.

The male quickly went to Kayla, afraid she might go after him. "Don't worry.....Cannon will be alright. He's a tough one." He glanced over at Sage who was shaking,"Why don't you try and keep the pup calm." He glanced over at Astral,"Are you okay?" He kept his paw around Tex, not wanting the small pup to fall into the water.

"Need any help?" He asked, noticing she was removing burrs and anything else in her fur. He noticed the rain was starting to subside but he was shocked when he looked outside. "Woah! Check it out! Look at all that water!" He was surprised by the flood waters that rushed by, almost lapping at the opening of the cave. "Good thing this is elevated so we should be safe from the water for now."

Kayla looks up at Thorn and pins her ears, fear and sadness clearly shown in her eyes. "I cant help but worry." she said. She kept herself from saying she loves him out of fear of what Thorn might say about her feelings for the leader. She looks at Battle as he asked what happened. "Cannon got swept away." she explained sadly. Looking down at Sage, she licks the pup, hoping to at least calm her down. "You are going to be okay Sage." she said. "We are all going to make it out together."
