━ adelaide started her day at 5am this morning, she had already unrugged, fed and cleaned out josie and jokers stalls, god knows why she named both with names starting with j when they were born, but she knew from day one they would be her horses. she mostly broke josie in herself, but due to her parents over protectiveness, joker was sent to a well known trainer in germany. while she got into the stables due to her riding capability, having been competing at grand prix level since she was sixteen, it wasn't a hard choice really. but she didn't grow up or learn with lack of help, her parents were the owners of a top show jumping stable in germany, some of the top show jumpers in the world boarded here, some even sent young horses to be trained and broken in, so she grew up with alot of money, always the best horses, not always the easiest, but always good quality horses and always the best under the best instruction.

when she was ten she went to the ireland with her mum and she competed in the 135cm show jumping junior grand prix on a pony she'd ridden three times at the stables she was staying at. she then traveled to the uk and rode another pony in the 125-140cm show jumping junior grand prix. she did the same thing again a few months after she turned eighteen, this time competing at 145-160cm show jumping on another strange horse she had ridden about four times prior the first competition, placing first in four of the six events and second and third in the other two. she was contacted by the stables right before they closed down however she turned them down due to going to ireland and the uk for competing.

this time she's had her horses shipped from germany about 7 months ago, they went through quarantine for about 4 months then were staying at a family friends property while she settled into the stables without her horses, she knew just about everyone here arleady, although she hadn't really paid attention to them, she'd been far more focused on her horses and getting everything done for them. they've not been ridden for about a month until last week she started to bring them back in, she'd been lunging them every day but hadn't ridden so they were a little fresh.

the only person she really connected with so far was tatiana, the girl was so humble about all she does, she had a $150 standardbred mare and a $500 thoroughbred who both came off the track when she got them and everything they know now she taught. tina had said that red had been the easiest, but she assumed that pretty quickly, she wasn't the biggest fan of standardbreds, but they were great horses jumping wise, her parents had a few standardbred x warmblood mares who were bred to warmbloods and they made amazing show jumpers. difference was these horses didn't have neck brands like other standardbreds. she had to admit though, lacey was stunning for a standardbred, she looked like an thoroughbred x arabian, she never paced, trantered when extremely unbalanced, but otherwise you unless you looked at her neck brand you wouldn't know she was a standardbred.

adelaide walked upwards josie's paddock and pulled the leather halter and cotton rope of her shoulder as she walked into the paddock and called the mare up to the gate. the bay pinto mare was a bit marish sometimes, but nevertheless when addie pulled the carrot out of her paddock the mare seemed to go 'fine okay' and came towards her with false affectionate nickers.truth was she was actually a sweet mare when she wanted to be, she frequently cuddled with addie in the paddock when she was laying down, but she could also be a real nasty mare.

when the mare finally came up to, addie fed her half the carrot and then haltered the mare and lead her towards the gate and the bounding golden puppy who was tied to the gate, she wore a hot pink color around her neck with a little silver tag on it, it had "marli" written on one side and a little heart shape underneath her name, then on the other side it had her phone number and her first initial and last name. the second smaller tag had the stables phone number on it as well as the stable owners first initial and last name written on it. she was the sweetest little thing, her tail was wagging a million miles an hour but she sat beautifully at the gate, her eyes gleaming with joy that her owner was coming back towards her. addie smiled at the puppy and when she got to the gate she untied marli and picked her up so that josie wouldn't accidentally or deliberately step on her. in all honesty, josie actually loved marli, but she certainly wasn't mother material and the puppy sometimes got too much for her and she'd nip or kick at marli, otherwise she was lovely towards the puppy.

addie lead the mare into the stables and put lead her into the cross ties and tied her up before looping marli around just out of josie's reach before she grabbed all of josie's gear, most of it was hand made just for her, so it all fit her beautifully. as she began to saddle up josie, tatiana also brought her mare into the cross ties and saddled her up."morning tina, how's red doing?" red came down with colic about a week ago fairly bad and had go on the drip, he didn't end up needing surgery but it certainly didn't look good. one of the grooms over fed him which tina was rightfully annoyed at. unless grooms were asked to, or it was written on the board, they were not to feed the riders horses. so it was understandable that tina was angry. "yeah he's good now, vet came again this morning and checked him over completley, said he should be good to get back into work in a few days to a week, just wish the person who fed him would actually come forwards so i can ask why and so something can be done, i'd hate for another horse to go through it." addie nodded at tina's response.

when they finished saddling up, she gave tina a leg up onto lacey and then handed marli over to her personal groom who was one of her good friends, she was german and only spoke german, so no one really understood a word either of them said when they spoke. but never the less, she was the only one she really trusted to lunge her horses and on occasion ride them for her when she only had time to ride one. addie lead josie into the arena and then vaulted up onto the mare and walked her around the arena with tina as the pair warmed up.

━ grace looked around curiously, noticing a young girl looking at her and she frowned curiously then figured the girl perhaps just recognised her.

grace was the coach here for showjumping dressage and cross country, she was also a rider herself of course and would ride and train her own horses and compete them while she was here, but she was doing a favour for mr.g, he was a friend of the family, and when he asked her to help him out by coaching the three disciplines, no wasn't really an answer with all he'd done for her father over the years.

grace looked around to one of the paddocks which was set up with a few small cross country jumps, up to about 80cm, so baby jumps to her. she looked for a second noticing a young boy in there and she walked towards the fence line, "hey kiddo, you right?" she asked, frowning at him as he seemed unwell. though by the girl who went running away earlier, she assumed it had something to do with that.

grace jumped slightly when a girl not much younger than herself suddenly came up beside her. her english accent coming out as she startled, "oh gosh!" she nearly tripped in her high heels but gracefully picked herself back up and brushed it off with a half hearted laugh "hello hon" she smiled softly lifting her sunglasses of her face onto the top of her head.

━ tatiana led lacey, a bay standardbred mare into the cross ties beside adelaide's mare josie, a pretty bay tabiano warmblood x mare, she was far more in comparison to lacey, but she loved lacey just as much as adelaide loved josie.

as adelaide mentioned red, she sighed and spoke up "yeah he's good now, vet came again this morning and checked him over completley, said he should be good to get back into work in a few days to a week, just wish the person who fed him would actually come forwards so i can ask why and so something can be done, i'd hate for another horse to go through it." she smiled and continued to saddle the bay mare up, then when addy asked if she wanted a leg up, tina thanked her and jumped up on board with adelaide's help.

the pair walked into the arena and talked to each other as they warmed the horses up at a walk. tina smiled at adelaide when she trotted josie off and started her on a loose rein, the way adelaide was with her horses made tina like her more, she warmed her horses up just like tina did, everything on a loose rein, almost the buckle to start with, walk trot and canter. she nudged lacey into a trot, the mare not as pretty as josie, but she was still a beautiful mover, and did not look like a standardbred at all.

after a few loose rein trot circles, tina asked for canter, lacey took off on the wrong leg at first, so with a quick correction from tina, lacey did a flying change onto the correct lead and cantered beautifully around the arena.
