Sawyer looked out the window as her dad's truck pulled her and her horses into their new barn. She gulped. She wasn't usually nervous but today was different. Today she was going to a new barn, it was a new start for her and her horses. She slowly got out the car and stretched. Before she could turn to her dad to ask him what to do next, he was already on a business call. She sighed and looked around.

*luna left the area. Her anxiety was taking over. She went to the barn, took the neck rope off of sky letting her roam. She ran to her room. She sat on the bed covering her face blushing hard. ━ adelaide started her day at 5am this morning, she had already unrugged, fed and cleaned out josie and jokers stalls, god knows why she named both with names starting with j when they were born, but she knew from day one they would be her horses. she mostly broke josie in herself, but due to her parents over protectiveness, joker was sent to a well known trainer in germany. while she got into the stables due to her riding capability, having been competing at grand prix level since she was sixteen, it wasn't a hard choice really. but she didn't grow up or learn with lack of help, her parents were the owners of a top show jumping stable in germany, some of the top show jumpers in the world boarded here, some even sent young horses to be trained and broken in, so she grew up with alot of money, always the best horses, not always the easiest, but always good quality horses and always the best under the best instruction.

when she was ten she went to the ireland with her mum and she competed in the 135cm show jumping junior grand prix on a pony she'd ridden three times at the stables she was staying at. she then traveled to the uk and rode another pony in the 125-140cm show jumping junior grand prix. she did the same thing again a few months after she turned eighteen, this time competing at 145-160cm show jumping on another strange horse she had ridden about four times prior the first competition, placing first in four of the six events and second and third in the other two. she was contacted by the stables right before they closed down however she turned them down due to going to ireland and the uk for competing.

this time she's had her horses shipped from germany about 7 months ago, they went through quarantine for about 4 months then were staying at a family friends property while she settled into the stables without her horses, she knew just about everyone here arleady, although she hadn't really paid attention to them, she'd been far more focused on her horses and getting everything done for them. they've not been ridden for about a month until last week she started to bring them back in, she'd been lunging them every day but hadn't ridden so they were a little fresh.

the only person she really connected with so far was tatiana, the girl was so humble about all she does, she had a $150 standardbred mare and a $500 thoroughbred who both came off the track when she got them and everything they know now she taught. tina had said that red had been the easiest, but she assumed that pretty quickly, she wasn't the biggest fan of standardbreds, but they were great horses jumping wise, her parents had a few standardbred x warmblood mares who were bred to warmbloods and they made amazing show jumpers. difference was these horses didn't have neck brands like other standardbreds. she had to admit though, lacey was stunning for a standardbred, she looked like an thoroughbred x arabian, she never paced, trantered when extremely unbalanced, but otherwise you unless you looked at her neck brand you wouldn't know she was a standardbred.

adelaide walked upwards josie's paddock and pulled the leather halter and cotton rope of her shoulder as she walked into the paddock and called the mare up to the gate. the bay pinto mare was a bit marish sometimes, but nevertheless when addie pulled the carrot out of her paddock the mare seemed to go 'fine okay' and came towards her with false affectionate nickers.truth was she was actually a sweet mare when she wanted to be, she frequently cuddled with addie in the paddock when she was laying down, but she could also be a real nasty mare.

when the mare finally came up to, addie fed her half the carrot and then haltered the mare and lead her towards the gate and the bounding golden puppy who was tied to the gate, she wore a hot pink color around her neck with a little silver tag on it, it had "marli" written on one side and a little heart shape underneath her name, then on the other side it had her phone number and her first initial and last name. the second smaller tag had the stables phone number on it as well as the stable owners first initial and last name written on it. she was the sweetest little thing, her tail was wagging a million miles an hour but she sat beautifully at the gate, her eyes gleaming with joy that her owner was coming back towards her. addie smiled at the puppy and when she got to the gate she untied marli and picked her up so that josie wouldn't accidentally or deliberately step on her. in all honesty, josie actually loved marli, but she certainly wasn't mother material and the puppy sometimes got too much for her and she'd nip or kick at marli, otherwise she was lovely towards the puppy.

addie lead the mare into the stables and put lead her into the cross ties and tied her up before looping marli around just out of josie's reach before she grabbed all of josie's gear, most of it was hand made just for her, so it all fit her beautifully. as she began to saddle up josie, tatiana also brought her mare into the cross ties and saddled her up."morning tina, how's red doing?" red came down with colic about a week ago fairly bad and had go on the drip, he didn't end up needing surgery but it certainly didn't look good. one of the grooms over fed him which tina was rightfully annoyed at. unless grooms were asked to, or it was written on the board, they were not to feed the riders horses. so it was understandable that tina was angry. "yeah he's good now, vet came again this morning and checked him over completley, said he should be good to get back into work in a few days to a week, just wish the person who fed him would actually come forwards so i can ask why and so something can be done, i'd hate for another horse to go through it." addie nodded at tina's response.

when they finished saddling up, she gave tina a leg up onto lacey and then handed marli over to her personal groom who was one of her good friends, she was german and only spoke german, so no one really understood a word either of them said when they spoke. but never the less, she was the only one she really trusted to lunge her horses and on occasion ride them for her when she only had time to ride one. addie lead josie into the arena and then vaulted up onto the mare and walked her around the arena with tina as the pair warmed up.

━ grace was not the kind of girl who was short of money, she grew up in a 3 story mansion on four hundred and eighty six acres of land with world known eventing facilities. she always had the best horses, was always trained by the best, and had been competing since she was 3. she started dressage events when she as 3 and a half on her own pony, by the time she was 5, she was jumping up to 80cm on that pony. she out grew the pony when she was 7 and moved up onto a little welsh pony x who took her up to 1 meter in show jumping, when she turned 11 and could finally do eventing competitions she had a little thoroughbred x welsh pony who they started at c grade (80cm) within three events she and the pony went up to b grade (95cm) then to a grade (105cm) when she turned 15 she was bringing along sammy in c grade and competing her mums retired 4**** (olympic level) eventer at 2** (125cm). when she turned 18 she had both sammy and eddie competing at decent level. now twenty, she has eddie competing at b grade (95cm) and sammy competing at a grade (105cm) progressing up to 1* in the next month or two.

she arrived at at rose riding school at 9am exactly in a large black limousine. her horses arriving in a 4 horse trailer with live in quarters hooked onto a 4x4 black ute/truck. something only someone with her kind of money could just chuck money at. sammy was with $90,000 in himself, eddie however... being a stallion if she were ever to sell him was worth up to $140,000 if not more. the way she got out of the car in designer clothes, heels, glasses, shirt, pants, you knew instantaneously she had money.

now, don't judge a book by it's cover, while it's hard not to do that, and you probably already hate grace, she's actually a very humble girl, while she might show off her gear, it is not intentional, she was always raised to be perfect, to look her best, so she always did that, but she was a very kind, sweet young woman, not to say she wasn't like any other woman who could be a total cow per say, but she was not what you would call a typical rich girl.

grace thanked her driver as she stepped out of the car in absolute perfection not a single step or position of her body wrong, her makeup flawless, her hair done up by a professional hair stylist, she had booked a cabin to herself... correction, her parents booked one to herself, they also had another booked for grace's groom, and well... you could call her your stylist, she made sure that grace was photo worthy pretty much, it was mostly because she was representing her family's stable and couldn't afford looking... messy, she always had makeup on, her hair was always flawless, it was like being a damn celebrity.. and she hated it, with no choice in the matter, and having grown up with it, even when she tried to sneak away she was usually caught. she also felt bad for not letting her 'helpers' do their job when they were getting paid for it.

she wore a pair of rose gold sunglasses with the one way lenses, only able to see out them not into them. and a stunning but casual outfit. well.. casual for in the city you could say, here? not so much, with those nude coloured high heels and fancy shirt. her jeans? maybe. she looked around a moment and ran her hand through her loose brunette flamboyage hair, it had been straightened then curled this morning, her make up subtle but still flawless. she thanked her driver as he grabbed her luggage, taking her hand bag for herself and one of the five suit cases and made her way towards her cabin. she tried to help her groom's and what not take theirs, but was told 'no love it's okay' and while she wanted to, she gracefully stepped aside, she certainly lived up to her name, she was always graceful, no matter what happened, she usually did it gracefully, or for example if she fell off, while it may not look graceful, she acted gracefully and got up gracefully, in pain or not, it was simply her nature.

grace watched as her two horses were unloaded off the trucks and lead towards their stalls, she followed closely beside sammy, had she not been in heels, she'd be leading them herself. her heels clacked through the stable corridor just as sammy and eddie's metal shoes did, and it became obvious to some people in the barn, that the 'rich girl' everyone had probably heard about, was finally here. while her name was unknown to the barn, as she hadn't introduced herself to anyone yet, the owner of the barn knew her family well, which was part of the reason her family actually let her come, but the name 'mcleoud' was very well known, and not just because of the amazing australian tv show 'mcleouds daughters' but because the mcleoud family was a top eventing and show jumping establishment in the uk. if you were an eventer or show jumper, even a dressage rider... you knew of the mcleoud family in the uk. grace was tempted to go by grace sutton while she was here, but it was a little hard when everyone who knew the mcleoud family knew her as their daughter, that being said, she was mostly known for her riding ability.

the brunette helped un rug her horses and place the rugs over the rug stands on each stall then followed her horses and her grooms out to their paddocks, each paddocked separately as you never paddock stallions with other horses, and especially not near mares or fights would occur, she loved on each of her boys as she let them loose in the paddocks before walking out the gate and thanking her grooms for all their help, only nadine was staying with her, nadine was one of the ladies who helped bring her up when her mother was competing, so she was like a big sister or a second mother. nadine was helping with her horses and well, everything, malcom was her stylist, he was well. gay to say the least, but he spent all his time in town, he'd only be around in the mornings to style her hair and makeup, then at night if need be.

grace spoke with nadine for about half an hour while receiving soft kisses from eddie who'd just finished running around, the grey stallion quite the gentle giant. finally, her beautiful little dog belle belle, a cavalier king charles was bought over by malcom, he'd driven himself with belle, he handed the dog over with her light blue leash attached to a matching collar with small diamonds all the way around, courtesy of her father when she bought belle, she loved it but sometimes saw it as too much, never taking it off however as she never bothered getting a new one and it did suit her so why change?

the dog was so happy to see her owner that she started to lick her face, malcom frowned at grace and quickly touched up her makeup where belle licked her, but with a laugh from grace, he said he'd see her in the morning, turned around and left. she smirked at nadine, they both loved maclom, but he was a funny guy that's for sure. she lowered belle to the ground and held her leash before making her way to where she was staying to unpack her things. nadine helped her get everything set up, including belle's own little bed and her bowls and everything all done, giving her a small feed and water while grace unpacked. grace wasn't going to ride today, no, her horses needed to settle in, most people wouldn't ride until the day after anyway, well... she assumed so, that's what most people did. she made her way back outside, helped nadine briefly before she and belle investigated the area, getting to know where everything was, she'd been here twice before, once when she was 5, and again when she was eleven, but hadn't been here since, so things had changed a bit.

━ tatiana led lacey, a bay standardbred mare into the cross ties beside adelaide's mare josie, a pretty bay tabiano warmblood x mare, she was far more in comparison to lacey, but she loved lacey just as much as adelaide loved josie.

as adelaide mentioned red, she sighed and spoke up "yeah he's good now, vet came again this morning and checked him over completley, said he should be good to get back into work in a few days to a week, just wish the person who fed him would actually come forwards so i can ask why and so something can be done, i'd hate for another horse to go through it." she smiled and continued to saddle the bay mare up, then when addy asked if she wanted a leg up, tina thanked her and jumped up on board with adelaide's help.

the pair walked into the arena and talked to each other as they warmed the horses up at a walk. tina smiled at adelaide when she trotted josie off and started her on a loose rein, the way adelaide was with her horses made tina like her more, she warmed her horses up just like tina did, everything on a loose rein, almost the buckle to start with, walk trot and canter. she nudged lacey into a trot, the mare not as pretty as josie, but she was still a beautiful mover, and did not look like a standardbred at all.

after a few loose rein trot circles, tina asked for canter, lacey took off on the wrong leg at first, so with a quick correction from tina, lacey did a flying change onto the correct lead and cantered beautifully around the arena.

Sawyer turned and saw a person walking towards her. She took a deep breath, put on a smile and walked towards them. "Hey, I'm Sawyer. I'm new around here."
