"Fine, fine." He muttered, trotting behind her. He was practically drooling over the scent of the fresh kill, his eyes were locked on it the entire walk back.

She steps into the camp, muscles tense from the hunt. She finishes the job by dragging the prey to the kill pile near the dens. She drops its neck and it hits the ground with a thud. "That outta do it. You wait here i'll be right back, maybe." Dixie wasn't looking forward to meeting with the alpha what so ever but it was her duty to obey. She started padding towards the den then shot Det a quick glance before entering. She sets foot into the dark atmosphere of Kodlaks cave. She didn't find it even remotely comforting. "You requested me, sorry for the wait. I went on a quick hunt with the loner." she spoke with a soft and respectful tone, she knew better than to give Kodlak any form of attitude. She then dipped her head respectfully awaiting his response.

Over twice the size of the average male wolf, the near 200 pound alpha slowly stood up, His large body heaving itself off the ground.
"Since when did pack wolves, hunt with loners? More so..." He paused and inhaled deeply. "Have their scent embedded in their fur?"
He asked her. His bright yellow eyes narrowed. "Unless he plans on joining, I want him out of camp. Or I'll add him to my bed." He said and sat down. The bed of his den was covered in wolf pelts. Victims of his. Kodlak may have been calm and reasonable for the most part, but he had a dark side to him that a hurricane would run from. He looked at his beta. "You of all wolves should know we don't allow loners into base camp. You're a good beta, Dixie, don't get lost in the twisted words of those who want to steal from us." He said in a deep tone.

"Good luck." He scoffed with a cheeky smirk, as he sat. Waiting for her to come out. His stomach had still been growling,
though he decided not to risk getting Dixie upset with him again, he sat, trying to ignore the scent of the freshly killed deer along with the other tempting smells coming from the kill pile.

Dixie sat at the foot of the cave, her eyes trailed off to the side. She knew her alpha was right. Not everyone's intentions were good. She looked back up to face her leader, but she wasn't able to look straight into his piercing yellow eyes, she had never been able to do that. "Yes, I completely understand. But my motives were good, I just wanted to be welcoming like you were to me when I was taken in as a pup. I just wanted to make up for being as hostile as I was towards him. I'll ask him if he'd like to join, if he declines i'll be showing his way out."

He recalled the tiny pup she once was. He offered his beta a smile and nodded. "Thank you, Dixie. I know your heart is true, but I do not know his. I only worry for you and the pack." He said before standing up once more. "If he decides to join, please have him come talk to me." He said and walked past her out towards alpha rock. Which was a large rock in the middle of base camp. He typically sat there to watch over his pack when he couldn't sleep or make announcements. He leapt up onto the rock and lie down, his massive paws hanging over the side. Kodlak cared for nothing but his pack, he knew they were all struggling and wanted the best for them.

Finishing up cleaning her blistered paws, the female sat there against the decaying log Kodlak had been picking at before. The female softly hummed to herself, the toon was sweet and gentle. The scent of a fresh kill touched her sensitive nose as she sat humming, her stomach growled and the hunger pains set in. A soft sigh left the females lips before she continued on humming, trying her best to ignore the want for food. 'you'll eat tomorrow Aku' she thought to herself as she enjoyed the silence and deterioration that surrounded her.

Ash grinned at her and nuzzled the female, "I suppose I can admit, I'm glad I didn't go hunting." He said as he laid his head down on her back.

Dixie dipped her head respectfully as the alpha walked passed her. She turned to escort herself out, she was quite relieved as the conference with her leader went smoother than she expected. She turned to see Det standing near the kill pile, his sleek pelt flowing along with the breeze as the sun beamed down on him. Even though Dixie knew nothing about this wolf she could sense his good. She had hoped he'd agree to join the pack but she didn't set her hopes to high, he seemed to have made it clear the pack lifestyle wasn't for him.

The brute spotted Dixie and his tail instantly began to wag as he padded closer, "Hey, you alright?" He asked as he cocked his head, her expression said it all. As he got closer, he could tell something was up. He looked at her, a concerned look falling upon face.

She let out another yawn, "So big guy, I told you my story. It's only fair you tell me yours." She looked up at him, her bright blue eyes filled with curiosity.

her tail drooped, she found it hard to make eye contact with the brute as she didn't want to bond any more than she already has if she had to banish him from camp grounds. But weather she had to take that action or not was up to him. "My alpha has given you a choice, you may join us. Or you may leave by sunrise and never return. What will it be?" She gave him a an expression that was explainable, it wasn't a smile but it wasn't a frown. Dixies mouth didn't move but her eyes said stay
