🦂the male extended his maw to a yawn, shortly snapping it shut after his tounge rolled out of his mouth. he shook out his dark, melanistic colored mane. he took time to make sure every inch of mane fur had been ruffled out. his mane had become something that he really did take alot of time and care into. he was always in a manner to make sure it was at its best. after some careful mane ruffling, ambrus took some time to gaze around the new enclosure. he had just recently been moved and was curious as to who shared this large space with him. it turned out that he wasn’t in need to use his bright amber eyes for this anymore, as he came to realisation of another lion when he heard a mighty roar. it wasn’t long before he spotted the albino feline sitting near by the fence. ambrus twitched his whisker, not sure of how passive this male might be. for the time he kept his distance, more comfortable with the idea that this male would approach him instead.

🧤yet again another day of loneliness. erneszt sighed slightly, he was used to these kind of days but he not only grew terribly bored of them, but also slightly more saddened as the days progressed. he’d give anything to share his dome with someone. somedays he’d look across to the others and see the macaw and toucan. their bright colors were stunning and they always seemed to be able to fly so high up in the branches. erne was a large bird, and pretty much flightless, not to mention he shared a very unfamiliar diet from the other birds, hence why he’d been grouped into this dome. for now he just paced around the dome, picking up small crumbs of food or maybe an insect as he walked around.

🐚nansci grazed casually as per usual. today the grass was sweet and crisp with morning dew. she nickered at a soft tone happily and brushed her muzzle along the grass happily, quite enjoying herself. occasionally she’d make her way over to a patch of sweet clovers which was always a treat, nansci was quite fond of them. despite she was busy grazing, she remained alert and curious, her ears perked forward and swivelled around as they picked up any sounds. nansci did feel quite safe in the pasture, and nothing really threatened or bothered her here, and she was aware of the other horses whom she shared these grassy meadows with.

🦕rudi had grown quite bored of sitting around in the kennel by himself. he raised his head and looked around, curious if there was anyone around he could talk to. in the mere distance he spotted althea and langka. althea, alike him was also a mudi but she had a much more complex coloration than himself, and langka was a new guinea singing dog with quite a unique coat pattern. he didn’t know the two awfully well, but they seemed quite interested and he wouldn’t mind getting to know them. he trotted over to them, noticing they were in the midst of a conversation. ”hello there.” he spoke softly, hoping he wouldn’t spook them. ”sorry if i’ve barged in, but would you two mind if i joined in the conversation?” he asked them politely.

the toco toucan would raise her huge beak out of a hide in her aviary, staying frozen for around a minutr before finally jumping up on the edge, taking off to a food container hanging in her aviary that held fruits, landing on it to start bite a piece of cut banana, swallowing it carefully

althea was in silent for a moment before saying slowly, "I was a wild dog in a pack, pretty much like a wolf's life" the female had no idea about the other dog but she began explaining the roles. it took a while but when she finished, she saw the dog still listening. about to open her mouth to ask her name, she was interrupted by another dog, coming over to their kennel. she listened to his words before barking, "I don't see why not, I just don't understand why these humans have taken just certain animals. I never seen a king caviler spaniel before and was hoping to" It was odd to see another dog like herself, for in her old pack there were mostly german shepherds and great anes, but it was definitely exciting.

scary and thank my dad for the puffy mane and huge fangs, kinda like a vampire, don't ya think? Hm.. I wonder what type of cheetah you are. African? Asiatic? Sudan? Wait.. no, King. Did you know there's another cheetah here? Did I forget to mention something.. Ahh yes, your in MENAGERIE OF THE RARE AND BEAUTIFUL, sorry if I roared that." He paused to take a breath. "Hi Nika, funny how some people think it's a bright day, seems quite gray to me"

angela began wobbly got to her paws and began trotting around the area. she saw other animals in the distance but it was a shock. from all the stories her mother told her it was, stay away from lions but she failed. the cub began climbing up a narrow path of dirt which seemed deeper in the ground until she came to a fence. it had a small hole in it but angela could easily fit in it and crawled in the enclosure, still wondering where she was. to curious and confused, she began walking without even looking until she bumped into some creature. as she looked up, she spotted a huge lion and let out a startled mew, burying her head in her small paws.

She woke up with a start at the sound of Ombre's voice, her eyes staring around the enclosure. She had only been in a day or so and was unfamiliar with the other inhabitants, normally keeping to herself before she was comfortable enough to approach the others. Letting out a huff, she placed her head back down on the warm rock and glanced around the rest of the enclosure.

He happily trotted around the boundaries of his enclosure, letting his tongue roll out the side of his mouth. The smell of other dogs hit his nose as he reached the fences but he ignored them for now and continued his walk. Eventually getting tired, he walked over to one of the fences and lay down, keeping his eyes trained on the rest of the enclosure.

Langka briefly lost focus; there was a AWD outside! "Sure," she said to the new male. "But can we take this outside? Looks like we can go out now. That's how it works here. The humans activate switches that lock and unlock our cages," she explained, nosing open her kennel door to the larger enclosure.

Haraka - male King cheetah - Ombre, Nika, Ambrus, Angela, Kalahari

Haraka nodded. "That I am. And where is the other one?" he asked. But as he looked around, any confidence he felt vaporized. There were cats everywhere! Suddenly, he heard the startled mew of a cheetah kit. Seeing the cheetah kit so near a big black lion, he dashed towards the helpless little girl.

Brandy - mixed-breed silver champagne mare - Nancsi

Brandy looked over her shoulder and saw the other mare of the menagerie, a stunning crossbreed with white coat and black spots. "Nancsi!" She nickered, trotting towards the other horse.

🦂busy looking off in the distance, amrbus hadn’t notice the young cheetah cub approach him until she had let out a startled mew. slowly he looked down at her. he sighed a little, another one of those cheetahs. he growled a little warning the young cub, he wasn’t exactly very welcoming towards her. however ambrus didn’t want himself to be some big monster so he had no intention to harm, let alone kill the cub. in the distance he noticed another cheetah come to what he believed take the young cub. he walked away, not wanting to appear as a threat and allowed the male king cheetah to take her back to her enclosure. he looked around, hoping there may be something he could do. he spotted kalahari sitting atop a warm rock in the distance. perhaps it wouldn’t hurt to have a little chat with her. he walked over, puffing out his black mane a little. ”good morning kalahari” he said as he came into talking distance with the lioness.

🐚nansci perked her ears and raised her head quickly when she heard a familar voice. gazing around, she noticed it was her good friend brandy. she nickered to the mare welcomingly as she watched her trot over. the sun glistened off her beautiful golden colored pelt, brandy surely was a stunning mare. she excused herself from grazing and kept her head raised as the mare came over. ”hello there brandy, how have you been?” she asked the mare with a cheerful tone in her voice.

🦕”thankyou.” he spoke in a soft tone as the two allowed him to join in their conversation. rudi raised an ear when he heard althea talking about how she had been a wild dog. ”why how interesting, i’ve never met a dog from a wild pack before.” he said, his eyes glowing alertedly. however he said no more after langka spoke. he nodded, it would seem like a good idea to head outside. he followed langka out as she seemed she knew her way around the place quite well. he had never met a new guinea singing dog either. he’d heard about them but never had the honour to meet one. both althea and langka seemed like very interesting dogs to him.

Nika opened her mouth then swiftly closed it. She walked forward and dug up her tunnel that she used to cross the fence. She squeezed herself underneath, parts of her pelt catching on the spikes. 'That'll leave a mark.' She thought bitterly. After a few moments, the snow leopard appeared beside Ombre. "Where did he go off to?" She asked, her mew laced with annoyance.
