aphrodite lay in her, curled up far away from the entrance. cold filtered its way into her home, making the place freezing. thankfully aphrodite had a warm nest and long fur to keep herself warm. blinking her eyes open the female woke up. looking around her den, a small space, she purred. it was very snug and cozy, and aphrodite loved it. standing up aphrodite began to groom herself, wanting her fur to look perfect and well kept. after some time she finished up and trotted outside, her tail stuck up in the air behind her. as she stepped outside aphrodite squinted as her eyes adjusted to the bright morning light glinting off of the snow. aphrodite hated the cold, she would much rather prefer a field full of flowers over snow covered plants, but the snow was still beautiful and she appreciated it. taking a few steps forward aphrodite turned into a big kitten. she flopped down into the snow and rolled over onto her back. after rolling around in the snow and batting it around she stood, her fur coated in the white flakes. shaking the snow from her fur aphrodite bounded off into the forest. she was sure that there would be someone out there to speak too, and it had been a while since aphrodite had interacted with anyone. she felt a bit lonely and needed a friend.

sitting in her cave demeter stared at the entrance. the frigid air filtered into her cave, and she hated it. the cold was always her enemy. she preferred the summer, with sunny skies, warm temperatures, and the forest full of life. winter was too calm, too cold, and too still for her liking. heaving a big sigh the female climbed out of her bed which was made of skins of her prey. she stretched out her joints and blinked sleep from her eyes. peeking her head out of her cave demeter looked around with distaste. everything was covered in the freezing white powder. sliding out of her den demeter headed straight for the woods. she was hungry and it had been a few days since she had last eaten. perking her ears up demeter was able to hear tiny scratching coming from nearby. turning toward demeter inched toward it. at the base of tree sat a squirrel chewing on a nut. snapping forward demeter grabbed the rodent in her mouth, killing it quickly. after a few moment demeter had eaten the squirrel. now that she had eaten demeter started to head back to her cave.

its nice to meet you marie. atlas said in response. finally atlas had relaxed, the tension in his muscles melting away. this cat seemed kind enough and trustworthy, for now that is. he was about to turn and leave, feeling that this interaction was over, but marie suddenly trotted up to him, inviting him to go hunting with her. atlas hesitated, thinking. it was going to be hard to find something to catch, but the cat had a point. with an extra set of claws there was a better chance at finding something to eat. plus, if they only caught enough for one then atlas could munch on some berries instead and let marie have the prey. i think hunting together is a good idea. he finally said. which way should we head?
