Olivia gasped when she heard a stallion shriek and the thud of hooves on a human body. With a yelp, she slid off of Aurora and rushed to the gate, throwing it open and sprinting towards the echoes. Adam!

Adam

Adam rolled to the left, as the horses hooves landed close to his legs. A voice shouted near by, it took Adam a couple of seconds to recognize the voice. Before he could run to the gate, Mike came rushing him. Mike grabbed Adam by the arm, pushing him to safety. "Get back," Mike yelled at the horse. Adam briefly watched as his uncle somewhat managed to get the horse to back down.

Daisy

When Daisy heard the commotion, she dropped her hold on Darlin to run towards the sounds. Darlin followed her at a quick trot. When she got to the pen, she simply stared for a few moments before shaking her head. The female looked to Adam.

"Well, this is simply no way to tame a wild horse." Daisy ran her fingers through her hair.

Her green eyes shifted to The Black, watching him with an expression of amazement.

"The most beautiful creatures have the most wild ways." She said in a softer tone. "Don't you agree, Da-"

Daisy was cut off when Darlin nudged her roughly out of jealousy. Daisy looked at the horse and giggled before petting her head.

Adam

Adam couldn't help but shoot a glare at Daisy. "He's isn't a wild horse, he was born at a stable just a few doors do.." He was cut off, by Mike slamming the gate shut.

Mike

After he managed to get the horse separated from Adam, he hurried out of the round pen, slamming the gate behind him. "Stay out of that pen," he said before storming off. These kids are going to give me grey hairs, he thought to himself.

In response, Daisy rolled her eyes. She looked over at Adam.

"It's called an expression. He, obviously, isn't tamed and by the looks of it, he's probably going off of wild horse instinct. All horses are born with it. It just depends on how their methods of raising and personality clash with it. The horse doesn't trust, so the horse isn't calm." The 14 year old stated this as if it were an obvious fact that everyone should know. "I mean, it's common sense. Would you want someone you don't trust coming near you and seem like they're going to touch you?"

Darlin looked over at Adam and gave him a lazy yet curious look. She loved to meet new people, but she was also a lazy horse when she wasn't being put to work.

Rosalia led the stallion down the trail, onlivious to what had transpired only moments ago. She urged the stalion into a calm and collected trot.

the roan gelding followed close behind as the big horse led down the trail. "So, how long have you been here at the stable?" he asked as he nudged Pistol forwards to catch up to the others.

Her body shaking in panic, she frantically rushed over to the boy and quickly scanned his body for wounds. "Adam! Are you alright??" Olivia's voice was meant to sound calm, but a strained tone of worry was evident.

He couldn't help but let out an aggravated sigh. New people always seemed to put their nose where it didn't belong. "The Black does trust me, you're a new person who have no idea how things work around here." He said, before glancing over at Oliva. "Yeah, I'm fine. He just caught me by surprise is all. I think all the new horses coming and going is throwing him off."
