Mercedes

She smiled at the compliment, allowing it to make her feel good. "I'm serious! I can hunt", she exclaimed with a cheerful bark.
Watching the male make a circle around her, she smirked and stood up, stretching a bit. "Well, I'm made of bones, organs, flesh, and fur", she replied, letting out a laugh. Following behind the male, she looked around a bit before returning her gaze up ahead.

Merle 》Patrol 》Collie 》Tags: open
Merle had simply been laying around for quite some time, being a lazy couch potato. She got up and shook her long fur from any dust that had stuck to it and headed out. She wondered if any other of her pack mates on patrol duty would be around doing anything. "Working already" she thought.

Brandy 》Guard 》Akita 》Tags: Corvid?
Brandy was pacing around near the pack grounds, sniffing around for any new scents he could find. He heard some noise in the distance, and ran towards it. After a while, he almost lost direction, and started sniffing around again. He caught the scent of something familiar. He followed it until he bumped into a familiar dog. It was Corvid! He barked at him, sounding a quick alarm, before trotting happily towards his alpha. "Mornin' Corv! Everything alright?" he said as he got nearer.

Wolf 》Loner 》White Swiss Shepherd 》Tags:open
Wolf had been wondering around for what seemed like forever. He wasn't looking for anything in particular, just keeping an eye out for some food and someone to mess with.

He did feel as though he was being harsh but told himself that it was for the best. He couldn't let her out of his sight now. "Keep going that way and you'll only find more dogs like me" He tried to reason but keeping the edge to his voice. He really hoped that she'd make a wrong turn but she was a stubborn one and he was starting to get nasty, it shouldn't be a surprised, he caused to to feel that way. "I'm only going to follow you" He added, walking up closer to her and looked her in the eyes, showing the severity of what was to come if she kept on going. If she did persist he'd have to think of something else to do.

She quickly devoured the rabbit and went to sniff around the small patch of greenery. She wagged her tail and went off on short sprints, she loved to move. She felt a bit on edge so slowed down and stood still, listening, the place smelt of other dogs but she assumed it was many loners, there were few packs left. Many past pets and lifetime strays life herself, there could be tensions but the communities always became so tightly bound.

"Hmm we'll see" He said with a chuckle, swinging his tail side to side slowly. "oh you know what I mean" He responded back with a laugh. Slowly getting his pace quicker, nearing his hunting area. Already smelling the prey..preys. Thankfully the wind was in their favor today and didn't have the rabbits get their scent. "Shh.." He whispered nearing to the rabbits. It was almost about a few ten to 6 feet away. He crouched down his chest just above the ground, taking his hunting pose. With powerful legs he ran right after a rabbit he caught sight of. Rather than going straight for the kill it was always easier to him to grab the leg so it wouldn't keep running. After doing so, he took a bite onto its neck killing it quickly. "Now you try" the canine teased with a smirk.

Having not much to do and plus nothing was going on for today, she sat down still keeping her eyes out. Her tail remaining in movement. She never really liked having to stay still for a long or short periods of time. It bothered her. Softly the canine let put a sigh wondering what to do today.

Emmie still on her search she had found a small keychain wondering if it was of any use, but it sure jingled keeping her busy. Difficult but easy she placed it around her neck though just inches off from touching the ground. The small aussiepom leaped from the car window onto the cold hard ground that was turning warm from the suns heat. She began to run in one direction she wasn't looking forward. A big mistake would that cause, she ran onto something rather larger than her. She looked up to see the brown and white coated canine. "Sorry! That was an accident" She spoked rather nervously and embarrassed. Emmie should have been more careful.

After a good meal of a small animal, he began to go back. Till a scent hit his nose as he began Sniffing out the same exact scent, lifting his head up he followed the scent to what seemed a loner. Although she appeared to not be heading the way of the pack. There was always certain boundaries that couldn't be entered by loners. Nowadays its almost certain loners were kinda just.. Well in more jeopardy than those in a pack since they had no one watching their back, Which was dangerous now. He watched the female, where she was heading making sure it wasn't towards the pack.

Mercedes

She smiled and quickened her pace as well,
keeping up with Isaac. Once they got to the hunting area her nose was hit with a rabbits scent, but Isaac was already going for it. Impressed by his skills, she smirked and spoke. "Nice, now it's my turn". Her nose went downward, pointing to the ground as she tried catching scent of an animal. Luckily their was a another rabbit nearby,
so she stalked towards it being as silent as possible. Mercedes waited for a bit, watching it closely and making sure it didn't know she was there before she lunged at it's back, catching it in her jaws. As she held the poor animal, she bit deeply into it causing an instant death. "I told you I could do it", she smirked, dropping the rabbit at his paws.

Female :: 4 years :: Lead Hunter :: Silken Windhound :: Form :: Crush: Alexei :: Tags: Alexei, Cyris, Chief

June nodded her head and stood, glancing at Alexei out of the corner of her eye. She saw him shake out his pelt and winced in sympathy. Her own coat was shorter than Alexei's but she still sometimes felt the struggles of matted fur. Compared to other Silken Windhounds, June's coat was quite thin and short, but it was still longer than that of short-furred breeds. She looked around for a moment, thinking about which direction they should head in. She decided that it would be best to head for the outskirts of the city, near where the neighboring forest was located. That way, the amount of prey would also be influenced by the forest supplies as well as the fleeing prey. June looked to Alexei and wagged her tail, signalling that she was happy and excited for their hunt, then set off in the direction of the forest.
As the two sight-hounds were nearing the outskirts of the city, June heard a sharp signal bark. Judging from the tone and pitch, she assumed it was Chief. Another volley of barks followed the first. She shot a concerned look at Alexei, worried for the guard's safety, then loped quickly towards the sound. She surveyed the scene as soon as she arrived. The malinois, Chief, was staring down a skinny looking greyhound that she had never seen, nor smelled, before. "What's going on?" June demanded. The female greyhound had no right to be on their territory, but Chief appeared as though he was being quite forceful and aggressive with the loner, which was not necessary.

{ Juniper made her way from the hollow tree she called her home to the main pack grounds. The moss and leaves underfoot cushioned her feet, waking her muscles slowly. As lead patrol,it was her duty to patrol the whole pack territory daily. She split the remaining patrol dogs into sections, which they would patrol two or three times a day. It was a long walk around the ground, but it was her duty and she enjoyed it. Built for speed and stamina, she found the tasks pleasing but not straining. Sniffing the air, she caught the scent of the familiar dogs. She glanced to her right to see down a long narrow street where Boo and Heidi were walking. Continuing on, she arrived at the centre of the pack grounds, only to find Rowan, one of the newer members heading the same way. She wagged her tail in a friendly manner as she called out to the bouncy dog; "Yo Rowan! How you doing?". She continued to pad through the camp towards the curly tailed spitz, tongue lolling in the bright morning sunlight.

{ Boos face dropped at the mention of humans. He had run from his former owners when they had tried to spit roast him, but the abrupt ending to what had been an idilic fairy tale of a life was still a raw wound on his heart and soul. He missed those nights tucked under a rough blanket, listening to his humans breathing and waiting for the morning sun to rise so he could pend another day with his family. But that was gone now. Nothing but a memory remained. Shaking his head to disperse the solemn thoughts, he looked up to see the park entrance."I guess we're already here!" he laughed, admiring how the time flew when the duo had been talking. Looking at the once manicured park, now an overgrown weed patch-forest hybrid, he wondered how any dog could hunt in there!

[x]━The red-coated retriever calmly sat on a pile of rubble that was once a building, watching the sun that never seemed to change rise and begin its daily swing across the ever-present sky, spewing a kaleidoscope of colors across the horizon in unnamed shades of reds and oranges before fading into the blue of the sky. It was something she did daily, always sure to wake early to catch sight of the underappreciated sunrise that splattered colors that no sunset could match. It was strange, really. So many got to see the purples and indigos of the sunset, but so few ever saw the colors of a sunrise, waking only after the sun had risen up enough to light the entirety of the sky and the colors had long faded. Ophelia allowed this thought to linger for a moment before getting to her paws and, shaking the dust and debris out of her messy red coat, trotted down to where the majority of the other dogs slept among the ruins of the city. The delta silently sat, watching as the pack roused while the colors of the sky slowly faded to blue.

[x]━Alexei wordlessly followed June as she tracked the source of the volley of barks coming from somewhere in the city, seeing no point in making conversation with the more dominant female and instead focusing on keeping pace with her. When the origins of the barks came into view, the aforementioned origins being Chief and what appeared to be a loner, he calmly sat where he stood as June spoke to them. He listened intently and watched the dogs' body language to gauge whether it would be beneficial to step in and assist. He came to the conclusion that whatever was happening should be able to be handled by the malinois and the windhound—especially seeing as he was not particularly skilled in the diplomat, nor the combatant, department—so he didn't move to step in, instead opting to obediently sit on the sidelines. He stared at the greyhound wordlessly, looking her up and down as he tried to decide if she truly was a threat or not. She didn't seem to have any ill will, but that could change in an instant. The borzoi removed his gaze from the greyhound and instead watched Chief and June, occasionally glancing back to the greyhound to ensure she wasn't trying anything.

[x]━The short kooikerhondje was startled out of his thoughts—thankfully—by a familiar frame bumping into him. He looked away from his haven of peeling paint and to the young merle dog. "It's all right," he said, offering a vaguely grateful smile to Kiki's apprentice and a short nod in greeting. For a moment he paused, realizing that he had yet to see Kiki today. He brushed this realization away, deciding that she probably wasn't up yet, or was off gathering what little herbs could be found in the area. "What've you got there?" He asked with interest as he noticed the metallic keychain draped across Emmie's neck as it glinted in the sun.

Corvid - 6 》 Cyris - 6

Postby exempt » Sat Oct 07, 2017 7:15 am

CorvidMalePit Bull mixAlphaTagged; Brandy
The Pit Bull mix was still inspecting the piece of fallen concrete as he heard a familiar bark. Quickly lifting his head, he caught sight of Brandy as the guard padded his way over. "Yup, everything's quite alright. This building seems to be falling," he paused, nodding his head towards the structure, "but that's hardly anything new. I was just going to tell the others to be weary of this area." Speaking of, they probably shouldn't be standing so close. Turning, he began walking forward, his head turned to look back at Brandy. "Anything new with you, or anything you may have found?" It seemed to have been awhile since anything threatening had come up, but Corvid was still weary each day, knowing that it was a very real possibility.

CyrisFemaleGreyhoundLonerTagged; Chief, June, Alexei
The greyhounds ears perked as the brute mentioned more dogs, apparently like him. "You mean callous and bad at socializing?" she questioned, her tone and features more taunting than she knew they aught to be. Were that true, then she may be in over her head. She turned and continued on her way, careful of the large dog behind her. "A handsome lad following following behind my every step? I could hardly complain." Almost as soon as she had turned, two other dogs came into view, causing her to stop once more. She was most certainly in over her head. Even worse, she wasn't sure if she could outrun these two, if it came to that. What she had been counting on was ripped from her realm of options.

Her attention was focused to the female Windhound as she spoke, Cyris doing her best to collect her thoughts before replying. She assumed the way she behaved around the Malinois wouldn't do her any good when she was outnumbered three to one. "I apologize, I had no idea that there was a pack here. Your tough boy here failed to mention that as he tried to run me out." As she spoke, her eyes moved over to the borzoi, catching his eye for a moment or two. Neither of them seemed hostile, which led her to assume that the larger dog had stepped out of line, something that was possibly beneficial to herself. She held back any more sly comments, simply awaiting for one of the others to speak. Cyris glanced back to the canine behind her, still somewhat weary of him.

Heidi gazed at the previously mowed and trimmed park, that now seemed as if it were part of a forest. The grass was long overgrown, and weeds and debris scattered the ground. Her tiny eyes widened at how the relaxing park that she and her owners walked to every day could turn into an overgrown monstrosity. "Yep, I suppose we are! Now, how are we to track any prey here, though?" she snapped out of her thought, but then realized that she may have sounded a little rude. "I mean, I'm sure that prey is abundant here. But there are all of those large plants that they could hide under."
