The Pit Bull's angled ears perked as he heard the paw-steps of another dog. Having just come from that direction, he could only assume that it was one of his pack mates, even before his head turned to find Malia a dozen or so yards away. The wind was working against him, otherwise he would have picked up her scent before she became close enough to hear. He turned towards her, padding closer so that they did not need to speak over such distance. Corvid gave her a small nod of greeting as she said hello, twice. "Ah, two greetings this morning? I must have done something special to deserve that." He tilted his head to one side, teasing, a rather amused look resting on his features. The canine turned back and began walking the same direction he had been heading previously, then turned to glance back at her, signaling that he wasn't trying to leave her, but he also didn't want to stand and talk in once place. The other dog instantly took a defensive stance, causing the greyhound to narrow her eyes just slightly. She kept the rest of her figure rather neutral, her gaze remaining on him as he spoke, likely trying to spook her off. Cyris remained where she was as he approached, refusing to back away. She was tall, lean, almost his height, and not the least bit concerned. Perhaps it was her ego speaking, but she didn't believe that this other dog could harm her. Well, of course he could, he was stronger, but she was quick. Her features appeared almost amused as she replied, glancing over the other dog. "Oh hun, I'm sorry, but you aren't the least bit intimidating. Do us both a favor and drop the tough boy attitude." She knew that she was just provoking him, but she truly couldn't help it. Stepping over the small barrier between them, the female began walking off, casting a look over her shoulder towards him.
