The Pit Bull's angled ears perked as he heard the paw-steps of another dog. Having just come from that direction, he could only assume that it was one of his pack mates, even before his head turned to find Malia a dozen or so yards away. The wind was working against him, otherwise he would have picked up her scent before she became close enough to hear. He turned towards her, padding closer so that they did not need to speak over such distance. Corvid gave her a small nod of greeting as she said hello, twice. "Ah, two greetings this morning? I must have done something special to deserve that." He tilted his head to one side, teasing, a rather amused look resting on his features. The canine turned back and began walking the same direction he had been heading previously, then turned to glance back at her, signaling that he wasn't trying to leave her, but he also didn't want to stand and talk in once place. The other dog instantly took a defensive stance, causing the greyhound to narrow her eyes just slightly. She kept the rest of her figure rather neutral, her gaze remaining on him as he spoke, likely trying to spook her off. Cyris remained where she was as he approached, refusing to back away. She was tall, lean, almost his height, and not the least bit concerned. Perhaps it was her ego speaking, but she didn't believe that this other dog could harm her. Well, of course he could, he was stronger, but she was quick. Her features appeared almost amused as she replied, glancing over the other dog. "Oh hun, I'm sorry, but you aren't the least bit intimidating. Do us both a favor and drop the tough boy attitude." She knew that she was just provoking him, but she truly couldn't help it. Stepping over the small barrier between them, the female began walking off, casting a look over her shoulder towards him.

June yawned, her jaws closing in a snap. She could feel the sun warming her pelt, which meant that she had woken later than usual. Ah well, I suppose I should go hunting, she thought, raising her head and looking around. She could see a couple of dogs, but Alexei seemed to be the only other hunter still in camp. Perfect, June stood and strode over to where the black borzoi was sitting. It was the perfect opportunity to spend time with him. So, even though she was nervous, she would snatch the opportunity before it disappeared. "Good morning, Alexei." June began, sitting beside him. "Would you like to hunt with me? I mean, we could catch more prey and work together to get bigger prey and stuff." She winced internally, realising how rushed and awkward that sounded.

Isaac ran into a halt with the squirrel turning weirdly as Isaac heard a bark. Instantly seeing the black and white coated Siberian husky. "Hmm yea was gonna go for a meal right about now but your look hungry, want me to catch it for ya?" He said trying his best to be nice. His nose sniffing where the squirrel had darted too. "One sec, okay?" The male said before crouching towards the trashcan and instantly catching the squirrel by surprise. With a smile on his face the canine returned to the female offering her the prey.

Walking closer over to the pit bull, the collie nodded slightly. "I don't know.. But it could be cause you keep us in somewhat check? And your the Alpha. And its nice to greet someone... Oh I don't know somewhere around those lines." She joked about slightly. She followed walking beside him. Standing and talking would sorta be awkward. So walking was much better. "Do you have any plans today for the pack?" She asked with small talk.

She looked up at the male but before she could respond to his question, he had already went over to catch the squirrel. Watching him come back with it, she smiled. Taking the squirrel in her own jaws, she ate it up quickly, and licked her muzzle. "Thanks, but you didn't really have to do that", she said.

Isaac calmly watched her eat the prey quite quickly. "Nah, It was fun for awhile. So whatcha doing around here" Isaac asked. His whole schedule pretty much was for the most part empty until he was assigned to something. He blinked his opposite colored eyes looking at her, with a small tilt from his head. Wondering what to catch next.

Odessa
Tibetan Mastiff | Female | 4 years | Lead Guard | Tags: Open

Odessa laid on the trunk of an uprooted tree. It was large enough to support her weight and gave her a pretty good vantage point. She had remained awake to keep a watchful eye on everybody throughout the night. Quite an easy task to do seeing as she did it previously but with sheep. She decided to take a small break from her duties to quench her thirst. The fluffy mastiff rose to her feet and leaned downward into a more refined play bow to loosen her tense muscles. She'd have to go into the forest since there wasn't any good source of water in the city. Her tongue began to loll out of her mouth as she picked up the pace. The mastiff became hyper vigilant as she got closer to the edge of their territory.

Rowen
Finnish Spitz | Female | 3 years | Other | Tags: Open

Rowen was a loner before joining Corvid’s pack. None of the packs, she came across were open nor friendly to newcomers. To finally be accepted into a group of dogs made her very happy. Now her chances of survival went up a bit. The Finkie wasn't assigned a rank and figured the alpha would decide through observation. The spitz uncurled herself from the ball that kept her warm during the night. Rowen peeked out the broken driver side window to see two dogs in the camp. She tried to remember what their names were while leaping through the window. Landing onto the concrete with ease, she padded through the camp with a slight bounce in her step.

{ Juniper made her way from the hollow tree she called her home to the main pack grounds. The moss and leaves underfoot cushioned her feet, waking her muscles slowly. As lead patrol,it was her duty to patrol the whole pack territory daily. She split the remaining patrol dogs into sections, which they would patrol two or three times a day. It was a long walk around the ground, but it was her duty and she enjoyed it. Built for speed and stamina, she found the tasks pleasing but not straining. Sniffing the air, she caught the scent of the familiar dogs. She glanced to her right to see down a long narrow street where Boo and Heidi were walking. Continuing on, she arrived at the centre of the pack grounds, only to find Rowan, one of the newer members heading the same way. She wagged her tail in a friendly manner as she called out to the bouncy dog; "Yo Rowan! How you doing?". She continued to pad through the camp towards the curly tailed spitz, tongue lolling in the bright morning sunlight.

{ Boo laughed at the comment;"Me! Hunting! You'd have better luck teaching a rock to play fetch!" he guffawed, shaking his head slightly in laughter."I think i'll stick with guarding, less running involved!" he smirked, eyes twinkling in jest. He had never had much luck with hunting, having never had to provide for himself as a pup. He had been raised a pet and guard dog, and now, living wild, he used his only skill to defend the pack, though he hadnt had much reason to, thankfully! "Chasing squirrels is manageable though, dont have to catch them, just frighten them!"

[x]━The red-coated retriever calmly sat on a pile of rubble that was once a building, watching the sun that never seemed to change rise and begin its daily swing across the ever-present sky, spewing a kaleidoscope of colors across the horizon in unnamed shades of reds and oranges before fading into the blue of the sky. It was something she did daily, always sure to wake early to catch sight of the underappreciated sunrise that splattered colors that no sunset could match. It was strange, really. So many got to see the purples and indigos of the sunset, but so few ever saw the colors of a sunrise, waking only after the sun had risen up enough to light the entirety of the sky and the colors had long faded. Ophelia allowed this thought to linger for a moment before getting to her paws and, shaking the dust and debris out of her messy red coat, trotted down to where the majority of the other dogs slept among the ruins of the city. The delta silently sat, watching as the pack roused while the colors of the sky slowly faded to blue.

[x]━Alexei watched lazily as the lead huntress approached, giving her a faint nod in greeting as she sat alongside him, listening to her speak as his brown eyes scanned the camp absentmindedly, looking for nothing in particular, "sure." He said, punctuating his single-word statement with a soundless yawn as he pulled himself up on his paws. "Where to?" He asked, looking to the shorter female.

[x]━The short kooikerhondje paced along the length of an asphalt street not far from where the rest of the pack slept, rusted cars lining its' edges. Merlot's long, feathered tail gave a flick of agitation, swaying behind him almost nervously. He was doing nothing, and that's exactly what bothered him. Nothing bothered him. Doing absolutely nothing. Actually, that was a lie. Everything about doing nothing is what bothered him. Bothered. Bothered? That wasn't the right word. Too vague. It made him feel angry, doing nothing. Frustrated him, that was the word. The short male's thoughts were flying and he had nothing to do to calm them. He didn't even know what he was thinking about any more. Why would anyone think about how a word was, well... a word? He sat beside a rusted SUV, setting to work counting the places where the peeling blue paint remained. Anything to get his mind off of... his mind, if that made any sense.

He usually commanded respect, he was almost at a loss as to why she would show no imitation.
He kept up his image and was flexing his muscles beneath his sable pelt. He snapped at her as just jumped away, he needed to drive her out "Thats right, get going" he mocked, beginning to run after the impossible match, he knew she'd be thousand faster than him at least. He snapped at her heels hoping to catch her at least once but he would only have a chance to do so in the first few moments, unless she didn't decide to run which he thought unlikely. She seemed like a stirrer.

Indi was only just arising from her slumber, she enjoyed a lie in. Her first thought was where are my toys!? she quickly located her three 'pups' and relaxed. She had made camp in an old suburban bungalow and had been living there for a few weeks now, she began to make it her own. She tucked away the toys in a small hole in the concrete and heaved a small slab or some light weight metal over the top of them, she didn't want them to be found or stolen. She said her goodbyes and left the living space that she'd made for herself, the sudden blazing light burned her eyes, she blinked until she seemed to adjust and went off in search of food, nose to the ground and tail wagging in circles.

Heidi tilted her head slightly. "Alright, if you say so! But don't worry, you'll get better at hunting! I was a pet, too,
and my humans wouldn't be happy if I hunted something, but I learned how to when they left.
" she flattened her erect ears when she recalled her owners who once loved her. Her humans had abandoned her along with the rest of the dogs, and she has still never forgiven them. Shaking off her resentful thoughts, Heidi grinned up at Boo. "Anyways, how far do you suppose the park is?" she looked further ahead.
