Marble yawned and blinked open her eyes, the light from the den entrance hitting her face. She sat up and looked around. She couldn't tell how late in the morning it was, but she hoped that she hadn't been sleeping to late. She stretched and trotted out into the pack camp, ready to start the day.

Luna snarled at Yoriscana, the metallic

taste of blood sharp in her mouth. The

white wolf collapsed to the ground

and let out a painful groan. Luna's heart

beat faster as she felt the brown wolf's

breath on her neck. "Why are you doing this

to me?" She cried, dragging herself back

up onto four paws. Yoriscana growled at

the she-wolf, swiping his paw over her

muzzle as he did so,"I warned you my

dear, and now you have to deal with the

consequences." The male lunged forward,

his sharp teeth closing over half of Luna's

face - then she collapsed to the ground

and she could barely see. She pressed her

paw against her eye and let out a soft

whimper as she saw it turn red with blood;

her eyes darted to-and-fro but Yoriscana

was already gone, leaving her alone.

Captain stretched and stepped out into the camp's center. He noticed other wolves were slowly awakening and stepping out of their dens. He noticed Marble and sleepily walked over to her.
"Morning," Captain yawned and shook his fur in attempt to wake himself up more.
