hera stared mindlessly at the dark soil that her hoove was digging at, the grass that used to be there now gone. Her eyes were cloudly and blank as she continued with her absent-minded digging, though it all came to a halt as the soft nicker of her stallion hit her ears. Her ears shot upwards from where they were pinned against her head, and her head soon following the suit. Hera looked a bit surprised as he nickered to him, but also felt slightly happy. Perhaps she could talk to him? She knew she had being a bad companion to him, as she was distant and unhappy.
However, the time didn't seem to happen, as he suddenly moved the herd in the direction of a herd in the distance. The stallion was rather young, and there was multiple mares around him. Perhaps another friend or two? Surely Delgado will want another mare or so to continue his legacy. She thought, moving a bit closer to Ameena and the rest of the herd. She didn't want to risk being snatched by the other stallions.

aria watched as the stallion grimaced, wincing at her sharp words. And though he seemed mildly hurt by them, he understood quite plainly that he stood little to no chance against older, more experienced stallions. She gave him an approving nod, then trailed out on the outside of the herd with Nepenthe in tow, helping him lead the way with quick nips of the rear to any who slowed. Aria wondered if there was a lead mare in the herd, but at the moment it didn't seem that way.
As they slowed down, Aria moved off from the herd, still in clear view, just not as close to the large clump of mares. She felt no need to interact with them, occupied with tending to her filly, who seemed a bit shaken up after the chaos that the stallions had caused. She could tell Nepenthe was exhausted, as she leaned against her leg for awhile before finally noticing her belly, nosing Aria get to her milk, then taking it hungrily.
❝ merci + lucida ❞

The sabino mare couldn't be more delighted at the ecstatic reaction her stallion gave her, in clear delight that his mare had birthed a colt. She understood the happiness, fillies did stay longer, though it was a colt that could continue his lineage and even potentially add more protection at his yearling age (if he didn't already become attracted to the lasses, of course). Merci beamed as he complimented her, pressing his head against hers for a brief moment. She let out a joyful nicker, watching as her colt.. their colt, watched them curiously with his stunning blue eyes.
He looked up at his father with awe, letting out a giddy nicker as he suddenly directed his attention to him, lips rubbing gently across his forelock and mane. He seemed huge to Lucida as he watched him, even though the colt was relatively tall already. This was his father? He sure did look impressive.
Merci met the piercing, sharp gaze of Anubis with a smile, glad to see him so excited.
She opened her maw to reply, though paused as she noticed a absolutely stunning mare waltz forwards. Merci turned her head back to Requiem for a moment, giving herself a mental note to introduce this mare to her and Requiem when she got introduced into the herd. She'd fit quite nicely in their little group on looks alone. Hopefully her personality was as nice as her exterior.
Returning her gaze back to her colt and Anubis, she once again smiled softly and parted her jaws to respond to the question. "His name is Lucida. It means the brightest star in a constellation." She explained, looking down fondly at her blue eyed boy. She knew he'd be a star when he was old, certainly a catch with the ladies with his handsome features.
Lucida stared back up at his mother, and then his father, letting out a little nicker as he looked into their warm expressions.

neptune let out a thankful nicker as jericho approached, glad to see him back. She wasn't sure how much longer she would've been standing, as she knew her foal was ready to make their entrance. Giving him a gentle nudge on the neck, she passed the draft mix at a brisk trot (the fastest she could comfortably and safely go so far into her pregnancy), moving into the thick shrubbery that lay behind him.
The brindled mare let out a heaving sigh, lowering her neck in exhaustion as her foal continued to get and move about. She knew that it was a waiting game now, and it was also incredibly dangerous. She could get swept up by any stranger stallion, and then be gone without even a single goodbye to her handsome draft mix.
❝ adelaide + courante ❞

eager to return to the herd, Adelaide gentle nudged her filly forwards, watching with a smile as she willingly moved forwards, picking up her feet in an admirably dainty way. Adelaide looked at her filly fondly, and then saw the beautiful figures of the herd nearing her and courante.
She noticed the black and white filly took a few hesitant step backwards, looking at her mother for conformation that everything was alright. Adelaide nodded, and then watched as Courante zipped forwards, bounding towards in a giddy nature towards Alfie and the mares he was speaking too.
"Courante!" Adelaide called, picking herself up to quicken the pace, shaking her head with a small smile as she neared the group that Courante had neared. She nickered softly to Alfie, smiling softly as she waited for his response to their new foal.
❝ serein ❞

the paint mix shuffled aimlessly through the thick foliage, neck drooping down in a small sign of exhaustion. She didn't like being alone, it was scary and she needed to constantly be looking out for herself. She rarely slept, and sometimes wouldn't eat her fill grazing. However, she also didn't like the company of other horses unless she was close to them. But, she was worn down at this time and would honestly just be happy tagging along with a herd and just pretending she didn't exist for the most part.
As she half-heartedly trudged on, a scent wafted into her nostrils, and following that the shapes of a trio of horses. She froze, though they seemed to still be walking forwards a few slow paces. Serein urged her legs to move her around, for her to bolt and run away, but she was frozen on the spot. As scared as she was, deep down inside her a voice was urging her to stay, for her to introduce herself. She was a horse, after all, and no horse truly enjoyed being alone, they longed for company. Serein let out a weak nicker, ears flicking back and forth anxiously.
Serein stopped as another mare came sauntering in, taking no notice of her and rather trotting about all high and mighty. Serein took a nervous step back, watching as she introduced herself as Zenyatta.

Quinlann let a charming, lop-sided grin pull against his handsome maw as he listened to her introduce herself. She had a distinctive accent to her, one that he placed quickly as a british accent. He wondered how she got it. He was a bit surprised when she went over to give him a kiss-like lipping, though was delighted all the same. She was certainly flirtatious, and he let out a nicker as she swatted him with her tail. He inhaled her rich, tantalizing heat scent and let out another short nicker. The silver buckskin began to groom her spine, occasionally giving her hindquarters a flirtatious bump with his muzzle.

Dante inhaled her tantalizing heat scent, eyelids shutting over his dazzling steely-blue orbs for brief moment, enjoying his time with the beautiful young lady. He knew he'd ought to be covering her, so let his muzzle brush against her tailbase, giving her a light, teasing nip to the side of her rump in a quick ask of permission.
—fade—
Dante quickly slid off of her back, moving away quickly in case she decided to strike out and kick him. He hoped she wasn't angery, and moved up beside her to check to see if she was alright. "You already, Blade?" He asked, checking up on his new mare before nickering to the herd, inviting them a bit closer to the new mare.
