Legend I Mare I Unclaimed I One Year Old I Tags; Hunter, Anubis and his herd, Breeze

Legend actually considered running away with Breeze for a moment but she shook her head.
"As much as I would love to join there is no way I could abandon Hunter. Though she seems mean at first you would like her if you got to know her better. Perhaps I could convince her to leave as well. You could wait until then right? I would hate to loose a friend"

Hunter I Mare I Unclaimed I 6 Years Old I In Heat I Tags; Legend, Anubis and his herd

As Hunter neared the large, black stallion she could tell he was bit overwhelmed. Usually she would have left at this stage. What kind of looser stallion could not handle his mares? But this time she could empathize. He had to deal with 4 mares excluding them, clearly all new to him, plus that unruly filly. To tell the truth, she was quite impressed that he didn't loose his cool and flare up. Deciding to give him his space she hung back for a while taking this chance to observe the other mares around her. If she were to join this herd she could just maybe take lead. She could easily take over the filly and that other mare who looked way too distracted...though she had to give it, she was quite pretty. She wasn't sure about the other two mares though but if she had to fight, she would. There was nooo way she was taking orders from anyone.

Truthfully Anubis did not believe the mare one bit. He could see the anger brooding inside her no matter how contradictory her words may be. "Good." Anubis replied, his voice was still low but he had dropped the somewhat aggressive body language. Even though the chestnut filly had apologized, Anubis wasn't quite sure if he had the patience to deal with her anymore.
With that done Anubis moved back over to the two mares he was initially talking too. He doubted their heats would last much longer and he wanted to deal with that first then he can move on and worry about the other mares around him. Hopefully they would all understand. He nickered softly to Bihni, alerting his presence to the mare as he was not entirely sure she was paying attention. The mare was quite focused on a yellow flower for a reason unknown to Anubis. He nuzzled her gently, telling her he'll be with her in a second before moving over to Maddy. He groomed the mare, starting at her withers and working his way down her back once more. He glanced around briefly to make sure no more trouble was brewing and that everyone was still around. He glanced at a tree a little a ways in front of him and noticed two Akhal-Teke mares standing there talking. They were both beautiful, he'll need to talk to them after everybody else. So many mares around him all at once and seemingly not enough time as it was no midsummer.
Anubis nibbled the spotted mare's rump once more like he had done earlier before being interrupted and then nudged her hip lightly, asking for permission.

Riot was a little relieved that the large stallion had decided not to attack them. Riot wasn't very interested in fighting a giant. Riot glanced around to make sure all of his mares were okay when his lead suddenly gasped. Riot whipped his head around,
nickering softly to her he nibbled her neck gently trying to comfort her and make sure she was alright. She was heavily pregnant and had had some trouble with moving, was this their foal? She excused herself and Riot nickered one last farewell to her before watching her leave. He was mildly concerned for his lead. She lost a foal and was getting up there in age for mares, he hopes everything goes smoothly. Riot would be heartbroken to lose her.
Lost in his thoughts Riot did not notice Echo approach until she spoke. He pulled his ears back as the mare voiced her concern for them running off. "You know I wouldn't leave you. I just had to move the herd a bit further away to safety. He glanced at the hill the draft stallion had been standing at. He was gone now, which is good. Riot seriously believes he just encountered the world's tallest horse.
His gaze slipped past her, landing on the small chestnut colored colt. He was adorable, a handsome little thing and Riot was ecstatic to finally have sired a colt out here in the wild. With the six or seven children he has produced out here, Echo's new foal is his first colt. Riot nickered a soft hello the colt, glancing up at Echo to see if he could approach he decided against it. She looked rather protective right now. While Riot hasn't had a problem with his mares like that so far, he had seen how their old co lead mare Harley had reacted to a rival approaching her and her newborn foal and Riot wanted none of that. Instead he decided to gently nibble Echo's neck as she groomed her children. Daisy was definitely a chestnut as she was now a yearling with no color change, however he wondered if their little colt would also stay a chestnut or if he would start to gray out like his mother and him.
Another whinny caught his attention and he turned to look to see Revolution coming back with a small little body walking beside her. Riot's heart soared, so happy and relieved to see his lead mare back with a healthy child. Riot nickered gently to her in greeting, walking up to approach her with his head lowered submissively. Their child was a beautiful chestnut color. He too wondered if this little guy would gray out like him. He looked up at Revolution with a smile on his face and asked her, "So who's this little fella?"

Ameena
:: Mare :: Arabian :: 15 Years :: Stallion: Mark :: Lead Mare :: Heat Stage: 4 ::

Ameena pinned her ears in warning as Marielle looked her way and when she came over Ameena nipped her heard on the neck. She saw her body turn to kick her and Ameena swung her rump around as well, kicking the mare twice when suddenly Apollo who had been standing beside her took a hoof to the rib cage and fell into the water. Ameena stopped fighting momentarily, nickering and moving forward to check on her colt. He stood up out of the water and started heaving up water. Ameena's concern for the colt multiplied by tenfold and she pulled her ears back, unsure of what to do. Was her colt about to die? No horse is so supposed to inhale water.
However he started breathing and Ameena let out a sigh of relief. Mark came rushing over and took him away and Ameena was alright with that if it meant taking him away from Marielle.
Speak of the devil, another hoof connected with her rump violently and Ameena was suddenly reminded of that disgusting disgrace of a mare. To go so far as to hurt another mare's child and for what? Rank? That's a pathetic reason to hurt a perfectly innocent colt. To think, she could have killed him just now.
The Arabian mare squealed sharply, she would have roared if she could but only stallions can roar so an intimidating squeal it is then. She laid her ears flat against her head, her eyes full of malice the mare started kicking back as hard as she possibly could at the roan mare. She kicked at her over and over and Marielle did the same. She watched the roan mare carefully to see if she would try anything like attacking her side as she continued kicking her. Each kick Ameena threw was carefully aimed at the same spot, Marielle's upper rump. It was the easiest place to kick and hitting it in the same spot over and over would cause the mare to become sore. Each of her kicks were strong and powerful, fueled by the rage of an unbridled Arab who was deep in her heat and just had her foal attacked. If you ask her, Ameena believes Mareille just made a big, big mistake attacking her in a state like this.
You don't mess with a mother bear.

Apollo

Poor little Apollo just couldn't catch a break. First the roan mare had stolen him and just when everything had calmed down and Apollo thought the rest of the day would go smoothly, movement exploded beside him and one of the roan mare's hooves connected with his rib cage, sending his small little body toppling over into the water. For a few seconds he was totally submerged and panicked, breathing in water. He spluttered and flailed around under the water before finally finding the ground and standing up, raising his head out of the water. Apollo coughed and heaved, large amounts of water spilling out his mouth and back into the lake. Just when he was able to breathe his father came over and whisked him away from the now two fighting mares.
Apollo cowered behind his father, lanky legs shaking a bit out of fear. He looked up at the tall stallion as he asked if he was okay. Apollo felt like being tough and saying yeah, but he wasn't. His butt hurt from the nip Marielle gave him earlier and now his ribs hurt really bad, not to mention his throat was irritated from coughing up the lake water. He shook his head and answered quietly, "No."
He lowered his head and peeked out beneath his father's belly. The roan mare, Marielle, was no longer sick and was fighting his mother now for reasons Apollo does not know why. She didn't even look sorry about hurting him and now she was hurting his mother! Earlier this year he felt terrible for the roan mare and did not understand why his mom did not want him near her. Now he knows why, that mare is evil. Apollo frowned, feeling anger for the first time in his life. He hopes that roan mare breaks a leg.

Fable
:: Mare :: Arabian :: 12 Years :: Stallion: reserved :: Heat Stage: 3 ::

Fable watched the stallion carefully for any signs of malice or annoyance but to her surprise there was nothing but happiness. Fable glanced around somewhat uncertainly before walking further away from the forest. She walked slowly and carefully, moving her head up and down trying to see everything and everyone fine as her eyes adjusted to the light. Fable made sure Myth was behind her at all times, not too far away but also not straying or bouncing out in front to greet the stallion. Fable was quite nervous, it was her first foal in the wild and Fable didn't want to lose her.
She stopped a little ways away from the rest of the mare, snorting nervously before posturing herself to come off as a little more confident. She glanced at the mares warily before looking at the stallion in front of her. He was extremely tall, taller than Jericho had been and far more muscular. If she was destined to die carrying Jericho's foal there was no way in the world she'd be able to carry his, Fable doesn't even think she'd be able to hold him up. However, that wasn't super important right now. "Hello, I'm Fable."

Myth

Myth's eyes soon adjusted to the light. There were a lot of blues and greens. Ahead of them were a few other horses led by a giant black stallion. Fable moved towards him and Myth followed her mother obediently, sticking to her shoulder. Myth was neither over confident or scared, she was sort of in a neutral state right now. They stopped in front of the stallion and as her mother talked she admired the stallion's stature once more, dark eyes wide. He had excellent muscling all over his body and a long mane and tail. His legs were thick standing on hooves perhaps trice the size of her mother's. Myth furrowed her brow.
Was this her dad? It was the first stallion she's seen, which would usually indicate yes, it is her father yet she felt like it was not.
She looked up at her mother who had introduced herself and Myth decided, no this wasn't her dad. Her mom wouldn't need to introduce herself to her mate. Myth sneezed lightly, suddenly bored she turned around and nursed off her mother while the adults chatted.

Arya

Arya looked at Thowra, examining her stallion for signs of injury or sickness but he seemed as healthy as ever. As he introduced her to his new mare Arya dipped her head for a politeful greeting to the mare. "Pleased to meet you,
Euphoria"
Arya nickered. The mare looked to be slightly older than her and would likely become the lead mare, unless they were to run into Denaria again. Which Arya is perfectly fine with the buckskin mare being lead, Arya hasn't ever really been one for such a thing. Arya glanced to the mare Arya called over. It was a lovely colored pinto mare. She was the same age as Euphoria and Arya wondered if she were to join would she want to be lead mare. And if so, would there be a fight for lead?
Arya is happy she has no drive for lead. She'd hate to fight and deal with the stress of being lead mare and always having other mares challenge you. Arya is perfectly content being somewhat low on the totem pole.

Skiron
:: Colt :: Appaloosa Cross :: 3 Months :: Herd: Thowra :: Sire: Thowra :: Dam: Arya ::

Skiron was expecting to make contact with the colt at any moment and kept his eyes shut tight, but when he was running for several seconds longer than he expected and felt a sharp pinch on his butt, causing him to clamp his tail down he opened his eyes and lifted his head, slowing his pace down to a walk. Wait, where was he? His ear flicked back as the colt spoke and he spun around to see the yearling had sidestepped away from him with ease. Skiron pulled his ears back in embarrassment. Guess head butting doesn't work too well.
He thought of the nip Zeus gave him and Skiron ran his tongue over his own teeth. Perhaps he should try nipping? Skiron pinned his ears once more and cantered over to the colt, skipping to a stop as he neared he aimed for a nip on the yearling's shoulder.

Pepper
:: Mare :: Arabian :: 7 Years :: Stallion: Riff :: Heat Stage: 3 ::

Pepper's skin twitched the flies away while she was unconscious, foreleg twitching occasionally. After a couple minutes she woke back up, gritting her teeth as she once again felt the extreme pain radiating from her reproductive organs. Pepper looked up to see the bay mare Riff was talking to standing in front of her. Pepper thought about her twins and with a surge of energy from an adrenaline rush stood up to her feet, looking this way and that before finally spotting her foals over by Ohanzee. Pepper rushed over to them at a sort of half trot, glancing back at the new bay mare warily. She nibbled lightly at their crests and now with the adrenaline fading from her body Pepper felt hot, feverish really. Normally she'd be grazing at a time like this but she did not feel hungry.
Her head gradually lowered and her eylids drooped. She flicked an ear back. Were they talking about a river? Can they just hurry up and go? Pepper was burning up and felt at any second she could ignite into flames. While the other horses may be sweating a little as well in the summer heat, Pepper was producing a lot more sweat than any other horse here, which is even more worrying considering she's a desert breed and usually handles the heat very well.

Alkun & Empress
:: Colt / Filly :: Arabian x Lusitano :: One Month :: Herd: Riff :: Sire: Riff :: Dam: Pepper ::

The twins grins split even wider as the two other foals started approaching, the older golden yearling not too far behind.
They looked back as their mother suddenly collapsed. They stared at her for a little, the twins glancing at each other quickly before looking back at their mother. However, they saw the rise and fall of her chest, meaning she's not dead and no other horse looked concerned so they weren't either. They shrugged the collapse off and trotted forward towards the other set of twins who were so eager to meet them, both their tails flagged straight up in the air.
Alkun frowned as Empress started moving in front of him, her subtle way of trying to assert herself as higher than Alkun. No way he was going to let her boss him around. He wasn't going to let anyone boss him around. He quickened his stride and as he passed Empress he rammed his shoulder against his, knocking the filly off balance. Alkun smirked. Teach her. He stopped in front of the other twins, standing straight and tall as to look most impressive. "Hello, I'm Alkun." He introduced himself, pinning his ears in warning slightly as his sister came over.
Empress was so beyond annoyed when Alkun pushed her. This time however, while she did stumble a little, she did not lose her footing entirely and fall to the ground like she had at their birthing place. She caught back up to Alkun and flattened her ears,
getting ready to nip him with her new baby teeth when she noticed the other twins in front of them. Empress dropped the aggressive body language and held her head high to help make herself look like the elegant and beautiful filly she is. "And I'm Empress, charmed I'm sure." She introduced herself. She looked up as the golden yearling approached. She looked an awful lot like herself and had the distinct Arabian dished head. Seeing as how until Riff brought over the new mare, her mother had been the only Arabian Empress figured the yearling was her older sister. She was very pretty. Not as pretty as herself, of course, but pretty.
Empress glanced over at the only stallion in the group. He was light in color, even lighter than herself. He must be her father, although, he hasn't even greeted her yet. Does he even know she exists? Empress let out a slight 'hmph!' and stomped her foot,
turning her gaze away from her father and back to the foals in front of her. He doesn't care enough about her to say hello to her, fine. She doesn't care about him either.
A shadow slipped over them and a warm muzzle touched her neck. Both of the foals flinched, freaking out a little before quickly realizing it was only her mother. Hey, she finally stood up. Good for her. Her head fell and she looked sleepy once more, the twins noted how sweaty she was. The foals glanced at each other, feeling a little bit concerned. Was their mom okay? Were they born to a defective mom or something? They shrugged it off once again. Ah, she's probably fine, just a little tired after birthing these two.

Menhit

(whoops, sorry lol. Read filly as colt.)

Menhit tilted her head a little. Wait. She was confused. Wasn't that one's name Izzy? What's the other ones name then? Was she not paying attention? Ah, forget it. Menhit can learn what they're called by listening to everyone else. Till then, just hope she doesn't have to say their names. The fillies took off on wobbly legs and Menhit walked behind them, white tail swatting away the flies that swarmed her. They ran up to another pair of twins, one palomino like her and the other a buckskin, and right then Menhit finally realized - her mother had had foals! These were her new siblings, she was officially in an older sister! Menhit raised her tail a little happily. Then her brow furrowed. Shouldn't her mother be here with them? She looked around for her, her heat skipping a beat as she saw her mother lying on the floor with the other horses crowding around her. She rushed over to her, stopping a meter away from her she lowered her head, snorting nervously. She looked up at the other horses and while they were all around her, none looked too concerned. Menhit flinched and scooted backwards as her mother suddenly stirred, rising up onto her feet and going over to her foals. It gave Menhit a little bit of a fright, her sudden movement, but at least her mom seemed to be okay now.

Lumandi

Stallion | 12 years | Arabian |Mares: None | No foals | Form/Looks | Tags: Iris

Giving her a confident grin, the stallion raised himself to his full height before continuing to groom. "Thank you." He nickered, his tone smooth and flirty. He groomed for a bit more before hearing a few others mares in the distance whinnying. Twisting his ears towards their direction, he looked up, eyes greedy. They would come next. Turning his head back to Iris he realized that the heat scent was still there, though faint. If this mare wanted her foal to be born at a good time she would surely prefer being covered now than later. He continued grooming down her back to her group until he nibbled gently and temptingly on her rump and softly nudging her hip. Looking up to her face, he asked for permission to rid her of her heat. His own Arabian tail was raised, eager.

Miran

Stallion | 16 years | Andalusian |Mares: None | No foals | Form/Looks | Tags: Robin

"Yes, they were." Miran nickered, a very small hint of a smile on his expression. It was very unusual to see this stallion seem happy as he was usually void of expression and mysterious, but something about this mare just made him think they were similar. Maybe it was that they were both somewhat awkward in conversation? He didn't know, but what he did know for sure was that she would be special to him. "What breed are you?" He inquired before lowering his head to graze, keeping one ear up towards Robin for her reply and one towards the meadows to listen for any herds or lone mares.

I calmly follow Jericho, nudging Desire along. I have no intentions of being lead mare. It simply isn't my style. If it is best fit for the herd for me to take over, sure. Until then, I'm happy where I am. I watch Jericho interact with a new mare with interest. He is so confident. I'm happy to be with him.

I follow my mother eagerly. Once we stop, I find some sort of flying insect to entertain myself with. I suddenly feel very bored, but there isn't much to do here. The only foal is Jack, and he seems to young to want to play anything I want to play. I sigh, moving back to my mother's side.

I pin my ears flat against my head at her next comment. I guess we shall fight to the death then. I keep that thought in my head. It probably won't blow over very well with this new stallion. I give a sarcastic smile when I hear the joking tone in her voice. Very funny. It isn't a game to me. I will never be able to be bossed around by another mare. My ego is far to big and my ambition is larger. I turn my attention back to the stallion as he speaks. This is Avril. I nicker, a smile spreading across my face as her name rolls off my tongue. My stance relaxes as I look at my beautiful daughter. She's gotten so big.

I perk up as the stallion asks about me, feeling my chest puff out a bit. I look up at my mother as she says my name. I feel a small burst of confidence when I see the pride in her eyes. That's all I've ever wanted. I just want to make her proud. I want to be just like her! I make eye contact with her, my face beaming with joy.

I say, running through names of my past in my head. Stumped, I just stare at the small one as she nurses. Then, out of no where, it hits me. How do you do, Gavroche?

I look down at the filly with a small amount of surprise. She quickly pushes her way over to nurse. Hello, little devil. I nicker with a small laugh at her little display of dominance. Huh. Devil. I like that. Dev. I whisper the name to myself. Yes, her name shall be Devil, and Dev for short. I nod to Merlot, telling him he can meet her when he's ready. I begin to nibble at the grass, thoughts of fighting hp slipping from my mind. I feel tired and need to rest.

I look around with wide eyes, my ears perked in interest. Everything is new, everything is exciting. Suddenly my tummy begins to rumble. I feel a warm breath on my back. There is a soothing touch, but that is not what I want right now. I kick, nearly falling over from loosing my balance. I look up at my mother with a pouty face. She laughs, making me agitated. I push my way over to her and begin to nurse, acknowledging the fact that she is speaking, but ignoring what comes out of her mouth.

I snort, feeling my anger slowly begin to rise. The only problem with being as large as I am is everyone is so fearful. I shake my head. What am I saying? Fear is power. Without it, people don't listen. I take a few steps toward the group, ready to challenge the stallion, but he runs before I can make it into the clearing. I stomp my hoof with agitation as yet another herd runs away. I want to kick something. I want to hurt something. I want to inflict some sort of pain onto anyone, anything. I take a few more steps toward where the herd once was, kicking my back legs out at nothing. A low, angry whinny escapes my throat, rumbling out to anyone nearby.

I allow myself to relax even more as my mother smiles. I copy her actions and press myself close to her side. This stallion should suit us well, I believe. He also has less mares, which means more attention for me! Maybe my mother will let me interact with him now that I am older and she seems pretty comfortable with him. I look at the other mare, who seemed to be full of energy. Why is she suppressing it? I feel my self bounce up and down with excitement. Maybe we could be playmates? I've never really interacted with other horses besides my mother.

the white mare snorted, jumping as another female voice suddenly popped up beside her. she gave a surprised whinny, shaking her mane, trying to push it off, hoping no one heard her. her ears burnt red with embarrassment. as washington turned to her once more to welcome her to his herd, she nodded. it would be nice to have a family.. the mare thought for a moment, the stallion didn't seem too interested, but ang didn't really have much of a choice. she was tired from walking and needed a group to keep her safe while she rested. as he walked off with the new appaloosa mare, ang followed slowly behind. maybe she could sneak out after if she didn't feel like she belonged here. who knew, maybe she would enjoy the company. she decided that she'd give this a shot. as she came up over the hill, her eyes moved to several mares. this was quite overwhelming. but, if she were to be apart of a herd, she needed to get used to it. she gave a quick nod to the other mares and leaned down for a well deserved graze.

the large percheron stood at a river, his tail flicking harshly at his back, forcing flies from his skin. spring was the most horrid time for flies. always ready to land, and the occasional horse fly to suck your blood. he snorted in irritation, turning from the water and trotting off. his large black hooves pounded on the ground, desperate for his first mare. he called out, his call deep and loud - showing his age and his wise mind of how to own a herd. his ears stayed perked, but he continued to trot, figuring if a mare didn't call back, he'd find one, eventually. west didn't mind if he has to take a mare from an unknowing stallion, their loss.

the bay mare nudged her son along, twitching her ears. thirst drove her to find a watering hole. the two walked for a bit until they finally found a small creek. miss looked around quickly before leaning down to take a drink. image took this down time to nurse. she picked her head up, the sound of hooves hitting her ear drums. as she looked around, her dark brown eyes hit the scene of three horses coming her way. she quickly pushed image behind her, ears pushed down to her skull. as she heard the stallion nicker towards her, she kept her defensive posture, but raised her ears. she took in ever word he said, looking to the mare and foal beside him. miss flicked her ear, snorting. she didn't know these horses and this really put her on edge. as the stallion introduced them all to her, she nodded, ""i'm bloody mistake. but miss is fine. and this is mirror image. he goes by image." she said, backing up a bit more. she was still quite anxious about this meeting.

Breeze
Mare - 2 Years old - Tags:Herd

"I can understand that. Losing a friend is hard. I got separated from my herd in the winter." Breeze nickered. "I'm probably just going to end up staying here. I haven't tried to get along with Anubis, I'm sure he's not so bad." She looked at Legend. "If Hunter doesn't want to go, I will stay." She added. Little did anyone know, she really would rather get on Anubis's good side. But how?

Storm
Filly- 1 year old- Tags:Jiracho's herd

Storm had finished cleaning Jack. "Try not to get too dirty the next time you want to play." She chuckled, nudging her adoptive brother lovingly.

Elena

Mare | 4 years | Kabarda |Herd: Alex's | No foals | Form/Looks | Tags: Alex, Herd

"That was just out of luck!" Elena laughed, slowing down to a canter after Alex passed her. "You should be glad I'm not going my full speed!" Giving him a grin, she circled him with her tail high before he stopped, panting. Worry crossed her expression as she saw more blood flowing from the cut than before. "Oh, Alex.." She whispered, coming closer and nuzzling him with affection. "You need to rest and let that heal. Come on, let's go back to the herd."

Surprised, the stallion looked up at Robin when she began to nuzzle him. This was... new. He liked it, but this whole affection thing was going to take some getting used to. "That's nice.." He nickered, still a bit flustered. He turned his head away, embarrassed. Miran was a tough stallion and he was never one to 'groom' or 'nuzzle'. But when she did it, it felt kind of nice. Just a very tiny bit. He began to trot forward, keeping his head high and ears alert for signs of mares around them. "We need to expand the herd before winter approaches or we won't survive." Miran said in his deep voice, glancing back at Robin to make sure she was following. "Let's go before nightfall so we can find a shelter later."

Okami

[male - bachelor - 0 coverings/ 0 mares

[tags/mentions: open ]

The pale palomino stood at the edge of a forest, keeping an eye on the various herds scattered around. The arrival of spring was a welcome gift even though he'd lost the only two mares he'd had for some time. The loss of the pretty pale mare, Mizu had been particularly upsetting since he'd spent so much time and effort getting her. No matter now. He'd shake off the loss and start over. It was all he could do. With a whinny to call any lone mares to his side, he pricked his ears, waiting.

Ohanzee

[mare - Riff's herd - hs 0]

[tags/mentions: Herd]

"Don't worry," Ohanzee murmured, lightly touching Riff's shoulder with her muzzle as a gesture of reassurance. "As soon as Pepper can move, I'm moving the herd." She glanced quietly at Gloria, acknowledging her words and moved her gaze back to the foals. With Pepper in no condition to do much of anything, Ohanzee would watch all four foals.
Not a moment too soon, Pepper had woken and rushed immediately to her foals. Ohanzee took a careful glance at her, worried to see the mare in her condition. Birthing the twins had been more difficult than usual but Ohanzee didn't feel near as horrible as Pepper clearly did. Giving the mare a gentle nudge to get her going, Ohanzee led the herd to the river, making sure that her twins stayed close by.

Hataalii + Isadora

[fillies - Riff's herd - hs n/a]

tags/mentions: Herd

As Ohanzee led them over to a mare who'd apparently collapsed, the fillies stared at Pepper a moment, unsure how to react. The older horses had seemed concerned at first, but nothing more was happening so both Hataalii and Isadora turned their attention to the foals approaching. The pair were brother and sister and obviously wanted to impress. There was a moment where the female went to nip her brother, only before she noticed Hataalii and Isadora though. Isadora blinked curiously at them while Hataalii looked them over a moment. "I'm Hataalii and this is my sister Isadora." The little dun glanced at the mare laying behind them and then asked, "Is that your mum? What's wrong with her?" Of course, she chose exactly the wrong time to speak since Ohanzee had heard. Hataalii's remark earned her a warning nip but before she could apologize to Empress and Alkun, Ohanzee started off. With one last glance at the foals, Isadora and Hataalii followed their mum to the river.

Mozart[/centered]
[center][mare - jumpy - lone mare - heat stage 2]

[tags/mentions: Romeo, Reign, Kettu

"I'm Mozart," The buckskin replied, studying him carefully. The stallion knew how to flatter mares and was kind, but one worry tugged at her mind. Could he protect her? "Thank you," Mozart replied, "I've been free for a couple years but before that, I lived with my humans." Mozart thought back to her time with them with a slight pang of sorrow.

Merlot

[bachelor - 2 mares / 0 coverings]

tags/mentions: Half Pint, Thunder, Adobe]

Glancing between his two mares, Merlot flicked his tail. The tension between them still hung in the air, but fighting didn't seem imminent. "Thank you Hp. That's very kind." Merlot nosed her affectionately and looked at his lead as she signaled her wishes. With a small nudge to Hp, he feel just behind the mares as the herd moved off. Having Thunder back felt like a dream come true, even if he did have to worry about a possible battle between the mares.
A flash of movement was all he saw before a black appaloosa filly hurtled to a stop just infront of him. Ears flicking forewards in surprise, he gave Thunder a nicker, asking her to stop for a moment. "Ah, it's alright," He said, studying her closely. She was young, perhaps only a yearling? He didn't often see fillies that young without their mothers. Glancing around, he saw a small herd in the distance, perhaps that was this fillies herd? "I'm Merlot and this is Hp and Thunder," He introduced his mares. "I apologize for my bluntness, but aren't you a bit young to be on your own?"
Distracted slightly by his lead leaving, Merlot stared after her a moment, excitement beginning to course through his veins. Sure enough, when she returned, a filly was at his side. Merlot looked quietly at Thunder, waiting for permission to meet his newborn daughter.
(Waiting for Adobe's response, sorry.)

Nimbus

[Mare - lone mare - hs 4

tags/mentions: Riot's herd]

Nimbus rested in a small grove of aspens, eyes half closed. The playful little filly had matured into a lovely black mare. Nimbus still loved to play, something that had irritated her mother before her death. Nimbus had been lucky to remain with Sioux until the mare's death early that winter.
She was alone but if a stallion and his mares showed up, she wouldn't hesitate to join him, seeing as how late she was in her cycle. Her heat driving her on, the black mare broke into a trot until she noticed a herd in the distance. The handsome white stallion caught her eye. Ears pricked, Nimbus made a beeline towards the herd, tail flicking from side to side to make her heat known.

Eulah

[mare - lone mare - hs 3]

[tags/mentions: Alex's herd]

Eulah felt her muscles tense when, just like she'd warned, Elena was given a small cut. Eulah sighed softly. She'd tried to warn the mare. Giving the new mare, Jordan, a curious glance, Eulah instinctively followed Angel as the lead mare took them to a new area. Standing a bit to the side of the herd, Eulah lowered her head to graze. None of them had made much of an impression on her yet although Eulah knew tensions between Hera and Angel might be high so it might be best to avoid them for now anyways.

Robin - Mare - Tags : Miran
She nodded and started to trot with him. The way she'd seen him reacted to the Nuzzle was strange, had he never had affection before? she shook her head."I don't see anywhere to shelter or any mares for that matter" she said looking at him. her head to the side.
