Wash Stallion American Warmblood 11 Years Tags: Herd/Ang
Mares: Devine, Dove, Flannery Foals Sired: 2

Listening to the mare with a pricked ear, Wash nodded lightly. She wasn't a mare of many words, but she seemed sweet enough. However, she was hard to read. Was she interested in him? If she was, she was hiding it well. He'd play out the conversation, and, hey, if she wasn't interested, she was free to go. He wouldn't snake her back to the herd if she did not long to be there. Both ears flicking towards her as she spoke of her months being alone, he frowned lightly. "Why, Miss, a few months is a long time to be alone." Pausing after speaking, the stallion chuckled, lowering his head lightly. "Apologies, Miss, but I never caught your name." Smiling sweetly to the pale mare, he allowed a dark ear to flick back to the direction of the herd. Hopefully Devine was getting along well with the other two. He knew that Dove could be shy, and that Flannery was rather playful, but, due to the lack of noise, he assumed that they weren't fighting or anything. At least... He hoped.

Stallion Lusitano 7 Years Tags: Gloria
Mares: Ohanzee/Pepper Foals Sired: 5

A pale ear flicking back as he listened to the goings on of the herd, Riff's ears pricked forward as the mare spoke. Her accent was definitely unusual. "Gloria. It's a pleasure. My name is Riff." Dipping his pale head, he turned his nose, gesturing behind him. "And this is my herd -" Last word catching in his throat, he noticed Pepper, seeming to be leaving to foal as well. A little smile graced his lips as he looked back to the pretty Arabian, and it was then that he noted her age. She was an older mare, old enough to be his mother - in fact, older than his mother. And, chances were, she'd want to take over as lead from Ohanzee. Flicking his ears guiltily, he cast a glance back to his current lead mare. She was so clear headed, so good at decision making, he felt bad for possibly jeopardizing that. Now, the stallion was faced with a conundrum. Ask for this mare to join, losing Ohanzee as lead mare, or let her go. Deciding not to make up his mind right now, he decided to try to suss out the mare, learn more about her before making his decision. "So, Gloria, I can't help but notice your accent and wonder - what brings you out here, all alone?"

Mare Kathiawari 12 Years Tags: Dante/Jolene/Avril
Stallion: Dante Pregnant: 4 Seasons

The mare's reaction to her voice cemented Rizzo's thoughts. This was Jolene, and her daughter. The bay mare raised herself into a defensive position, and it took all of Rizzo's willpower not to do the same. Now was not the time to fight. Jolene was clearly farther along in her pregnancy, any stress might cause her to drop prematurely. A nudge to the neck pulled her from her thoughts, and she turned to look at Dante, curved ears trained still to the mare and her filly. "We were in a herd together before the winter," Turning to catch the mare's gaze once again, she continued, "Our foals share a father." That short sentence, despite the lack of emotion behind the Kathiawari's words, were her white flag. Her way of trying to tell Jolene that she was on her side now. While with Diablo, she desired nothing more than to be kicked out, therefore annoying Jolene, challenging her almost non-stop for her first few days there. This year was a new slate, and while she knew that a dispute might rise between the pair over who took the lead if Jolene joined, now was not the time for it, and Rizz wanted her to know that. Lowering her head, Rizzo showed her that she had no plan on being a threat to her right now. Dipping her head to the mare, a small sign that she trusted the stallion with the life of her unborn foal, she lowered her head to the ground, beginning to graze to give them a chance to introduce one another.

Mare Paint 4 Years Tags: Sola
Stallion: Cerberus Heat Stage: 1

Grooming the filly gently, Inez could sense her discomfort. She was obviously experiencing her first heat - something that could be a difficult and confusing thing. Sola obviously understood the implications of it, however, her defeated words meeting Inez' small ears, and she paused, looking down to the young paint. "Not all stallions are idiots." She mused, spotting a twig in her mane, and, after removing it, continued speaking, "You might get lucky, find a strong, smart, charming stallion for yourself. And, hey, if you don't, you don't have to join him." From her limited experience of the wild, Inez wasn't exactly correct in her words, but hey, they might make Sola feel a little better. Hearing Sola's words, a sad smile spread across her features. "I'm not sure if you remember him, but last year, I had a little colt. He would have turned a year at the start of summer, but the winter was harsh." Leaving the filly to slot together the pieces, she followed Sola's gaze to the little creature, her features brightening with a curiosity as she watched it slinking along. As the filly continued to groom her, Inez found her gaze travelling to her mother, watching Ivy with the new little filly. A smile spread across Inez' lips as she watched. Foals were so sweet. Moving her touch back to Sola's shoulder, she continued to groom the filly, pale tail swishing lightly.

Mare Arabian x 6 Years Tags: Icarus/Aria
Stallion: - Pregnant: 4 Seasons

Tucking her chin into her chest as the pair approached, Daae smiled sweetly to the stallion as they approached, ignoring the other mare completely. Allowing her gaze to shamelessly scan his body, eyes roaming his strong muscular frame, her blue gaze landed on him after a number of moments. Hearing his words, her small ears perked to him, she dipped her head, greeting him. "Greetings, sir. It is a pleasure. My name is Angel of Music... But you can call me Daae." Sending him a wink, she stepped forward, lowering her head to offer him her scent. A light twinge shot through her abdomen, causing her to jump lightly, but her pretty face returned after it passed, raising her tail prettily. "So, Icarus..." she began, "Where are your mares? A strong, handsome stallion like you, well, it'd be unusual for him to be alone-ish." Catching herself, remembering that he actually had company, she moved closer to him, almost uncomfortably so. Sure, Daae was a forward mare, but that was how she figured out her stallions. How they reacted to her in the first incidence of meeting would be a dead set to how she acted with them for the rest of her time with them.

Mare Shire 8 Years Tags: Cash
Stallion: Cash Heat Stage: 2

The large mare's tension melted as the stallion told her that there was nothing to worry about, that it was bound to happen. Elphaba even found herself laughing lightly as the stallion did, his booming laugh a stark contrast to her light, flitting one. Touching her muzzle to his neck as he began to groom her, she returned the gesture in kind, tugging matts and dust from the roan's short pelt. Her muscles relaxed as the stallion's touch moved along her pelt, the comforting gesture causing her to pause at some points to yawn. Hearing his words, she flicked an ear back to him, then moved her muzzle away, as though she were seriously considering his words. "I suppose I am." Chuckling lightly, the Shire mare returned her touch to him, this time tugging as gently as she could at his mane. So, Cash was now her stallion. The concept was still foreign to her - stallions and lead mares and harems and bachelors. But hopefully, she could learn with Cash as her teacher. Without thinking, the mare raised her tail with the joy of finding a stability out here in the wild, and in doing so, released her heat scent. Her strong teeth continued to groom the stallion, a small sigh of contentment escaping her lips. Perhaps living in the wild wouldn't be so bad after all?

Mare Akhal-Teke 13 Years Tags: Reserved
Stallion: - Heat Stage: 3

Pale tail flicking against a dappled rear, Requiem's dark eyes scanned the horizon for something... anything. The hot-blooded mare pushed herself forward in a floating trot, chin tucked into chest as she moved across the uneven terrain. When she had been with her old herd, there had been endless stallions approaching her herd, challenging and being defeated almost daily. But now that she was looking for a herd, there seemed to be no one. The sound of birds and other small animals reached her ears, but nothing else. No snorts, no trumpets, no whinnies, no sounds of other horses. Lashing her tail again, the mare tossed her mane in a little buck. Why was there no one around to pay attention to her?!

Storm
Filly- 1 year old- Tags:Jiracho, Kaia, Jack

Storm just looked shocked at Jiracho. Had he really just told her to groom Jack? What if she wasn't gentle enough? What if she couldn't get the taste of mud out of her mouth for a few days? "How old is Jack?" She nickered at Kaia, not wanting to bother Jiracho again.

Breeze
Mare - 2 Years old - Tags:Anubis and herd- Heat Stage 4

Breeze was still grazing. She knew soon she would be covered, but she didn't want Anubis to cover her. She stopped grazing and started pacing. Restless at the idea of Anubis covering her. She didn't want foals with him. That's why she kept her distance from him.

Stormbreak {} Mare {} Herd: None
Stormbreak reared up happily, letting out a loud nicker to no one in particular. Then she charged down the hill, her mane and tail flowing out behind her like a Gray river. This side of the hill had flowers and grass, which was great compared to the desolate hills she was leaving behind. The sun shone high in the sky, stretching it's hooves across the cloud-spotted palette of blue.
When she got to the bottom, she looked around, her ears pricked, and her tail high. She saw the silhouettes of countless horses, grazing, talking, and just... Well being a horse! A real horse. Not caged up, not forced to do everything the humans told you. Stormbreak thought with satisfaction.
Not long after Stormbreak had walked for a few minutes, she realised how little she had eaten on her way here. So, without a second thought, she plunged her head into the grass, and began eagerly chewing up the stalks. Her ears were pricked for any sign of approaching horses.

Anubis was pleased both mares had their attention on him, that neither seemed particularly concerned and were being cooperative. Of course, Anubis has yet to really do anything to upset the mares to make them uncooperative, it's just sometimes... Sometimes he encounters mares and he just has no clue what's wrong with them. They act as if they don't want a strong stallion like himself, they act like they prefer being alone and hate all other horses, which is just so weird to Anubis. Granted, he's only encountered these particular mares in these lands many call 'Sanctuary'. Most of the horses here seemed to have been human kept, and while Anubis has never been owned by or touched by a human, he has heard stories of their cruelty. How they keep horses locked up in tiny cages almost all day long. Makes the horses lose their language, makes 'em antisocial and Anubis figures many of the human horses out here must have become antisocial due to the humans and that's why they're so weird.
He touched his nose gently against each mare's, his touch gentler than usual, and stored the mare's scents in his mind so that he can always recognize them. He smiled as the spotted mare complimented him. Anubis thinks that's the first time he's been complimented on his name. "Why thank you madam, your names are quite nice as well."
He closes his eyes for a brief second, nostrils flaring once more. He was surrounded by the scent of mares in heat. It came from Breeze and Binhi, although their scents were fainter compared to the almost overpowering one of Maddy's. All the scents excited him greatly but Anubis had learned long ago not to let such excitement show all that much. If they had met him about a decade ago however he probably would have already tried jumping them. The heat scents of the mares could explain his much more gentle behavior as Anubis wants to cover them sooner rather than later.
"So, what are two equally lovely mares doing out here on their own?" He asked softly.
Thinking things over quickly, Anubis decided he could be a little more animated now that he does not think either of the mares would run or be too put off by such a thing. Anubis took a couple small steps closer to the mares and gently pressed his muzzle on first the spotted mare's shoulder, asking to groom her and then placed it against the pinto mare in an offer to groom her as well. While they explain their stories Anubis can do a bit of grooming, a bit of bonding, if they wish. While juggling two mares in heat at once is rather difficult, Anubis has been able to do it before and believes he can do it once again. The thing is, the pinto mare had hesitated earlier coming over, so Anubis did not want to drive her away, but he also did not want the spotted mare to think he preferred the other one, and he also wanted to take care of her heat while he can.
(waiting for rosegold)

"Aurora's a pretty name, a name fit for a princess if you ask me." Riot complimated the mare as he walked. He searched along the riverbank, looking for hoofprints, droppings or even bodies. Suddenly however, he stopped walking. It was summer now. It had been over three months since the storm, since he was separated from everyone. Perhaps his little Rebel had been here once, but they took too long. There's no way she'll still be here. She'll have moved on. It was clear he wouldn't find them, perhaps it was time for Riot to move on as well. There was a small lump in his throat and a part of him wanted to refuse, wanted to keep searching, but deep down he knew it was true.
Wordlessly Riot turned and started walking away from the river to take the herds to better grazing grounds. They were in a little meadow now, the grass grew tall and green here. This would be good, he turned around to talk to Aurora again, get to know her a little however his gaze slipped past her and he spotted a gray Arabian not too far away. Was that... Aria? His ears flicked forward and he whinnied excitedly to the mare. He trotted to the front of the herd, tail flagged, happy to see another one of his old mares.
He wanted so badly to run up to her and greet her but he had to stay by his herd. However, the longer he looked the more he realized that that's not Aria. Mainly, the scent in the air that drifted from the mare and towards him with the help of the wind not smell anything like Aria. Riot couldn't help but feel a little crestfallen. After Echo and Revolution, Aria was his next favorite. To think he was going to reunite with her only to have that ripped from him, it was saddening. He had already called out to the mare though and now that it was summer Riot felt the strong urge to build his herd up once more to its former glory, might as well wait and see how the mare would react.

Ameena didn't care about Marielle's little tantrum, that the mare was upset that Ameena told her off. Don't look at her child like that.
Summer had arrived and the flies were out in full force. Her and Apollo's tails lashed side to side in desperate attempts to rid themselves of the flies. For every fly they shook off it seems like three replaced it. This was getting crazy, it was time for some mud. Ameena nickered to Mark, telling him to make sure everyone was following before leading them away to the large lake Ameena has visited many times before. It was a popular spot for horses but more importantly, it had lots of mud, which is what Ameena wanted. She looked around the lake, there were several herds around but none seemed interested in them, yet. Ameena approached the edge of the lake, taking a quick swig before backing up and carefully lowering herself to the ground. She looked at her colt, making sure he was close and not being stolen.
She laid her head down, rubbing it against the mud before doing a complete roll, doing the same rubbing action with the other side of her head. She laid there for a few seconds before rolling back and forth several times, just to really make sure she was covered in mud. She sat up, looking at her colt once more and the horses around her before standing up, working her tail a little before moving towards her colt to protect him once more.

Apollo followed after his mother like the obedient little thing he is. As they moved, stretching their legs and working their muscles Apollo felt a sudden urge to play. He playfully mounted his mother for a brief second before sliding off her side. He lowered his head as he walked, chin brushing against the grass. He kicked up his heels before transitioning into a canter and running a few circles around his mother.
He calmed down as they approached the lake. He watched intently as his mother rolled around in the mud. He moved several yards away to do the same thing, rubbing his body against the ground, rolling this way and that, long skinny legs flailing around in the air.
When he was done he was entirely covered in mud save for the insides of his legs and chest. Sneezing lightly he turned around and drank from the water. While he wanted to play in it, he knew if he did he would wash away all the mud he worked so hard to get on himself, so he just stayed at the edge, playing with the water slightly by sploshing it around with his muzzle.

Before Fable could watch the fight unfold she felt a stabbing pain in her abdomen. She quickly backed up and retreated further into the forest, instinct taking her far from the other horses to prepare for the birth of her filly. She finally stopped at a small little clearing in the forest and after checking to make sure there were no predators around or prying eyes Fable lied down on the ground and waited.
-Fade-
Ten minutes later and at her feet was a chestnut foal. Fable groaned slightly, lifting her head up to look at her filly before quickly dropping it back down to the ground. The birthing process had gone well, it was pretty easy compared to her past experiences, she was just a bit tired. Her foal started squirming around at her feet and Fable finally stirred. She stood up, turned around and cleaned her foal off. She learned the foal was a filly and Fable exhaled loudly, not realizing she had been holding in her breath. It's such a good thing it was born a filly, if it was a colt, Fable would have had a hard time finding a new stallion that wouldn't kill it on sight.
They spent another twenty minutes or so in the clearing as the filly got her legs and learned how to stand. She picked things up pretty quick and as soon as she had learned to walk and had nursed a little Fable was moving back to where she had last saw the tall dark stallion from earlier. Fable was extremely relieved the birthing process had gone well. Her filly was slim but very, very leggy, in fact, she's probably the tallest Fable has ever seen a newborn filly be. She was perhaps a little over 11 hands already.
Out of the forest and she found the stallion where she had last seen him earlier. She did not know how the fight went, but she saw two mares with him when he had none and the rival was gone, so she presumed that he had won. After watching him interact with his two new mares silently she eventually raised her head and whinnied to him, announcing her presence to all that were near.

Myth's eyes adjusted to the light as her mother groomed her wet body. After several minutes she shook her head slightly,
feeling bored and the urge to stand she rose up on long, shaky legs. She failed numerous times but after perhaps her seventh time managed to stand and stay standing. Myth flicked her tail back and forth as she unsteadily turned around to face her mother's flank. She leaned up against her for support before slipping further back and reach underneath her to nurse. Myth was a tall newborn and her mother short so it was already a bit harder to nurse for her than it probably is for most newborn foals.
Soon her mother started walking and Myth followed, sticking to her shoulder and occasionally pressing against her for support when she'd lose her balance. They left the relatively dark and shady forest and entered the light. Myth was blinded and closed her eyes shut tight quickly. After a few seconds she tried to open them very slowly, only managing to hold a very small squint.

Arya spent perhaps half an hour whinnying, her cries echoed out across the land but went largely unanswered. Aya was about to give up hope she'd find anyone here, bad thoughts entering her mind such as the possibility that all the other horses had died or were swept far, far away from her in the storm. Finally, another whinny that was not her own pierced the air, seemingly responding to her call. Arya spun around and whinnied back, she was here! She stared at the horizon and soon a golden colored stallion came up over the hill with a similarly colored yearling and buckskin mare in tow. She could scarcely believe it. It was Thowra with Zeus! She did not recognize the mare, Thowra must have picked her up recently.
Arya nickered for her foal to follow before taking off towards Thowra. She met him halfway, bouncing to a stop before nuzzling her old stallion, nickering to him softly in greeting.
"Oh gosh, you don't even know how relieved I am to see you! I was beginning to worry all horses had been killed in the storm..."

Skiron stood underneath the oak tree somewhat lazily, ears turned out to the side and one hoof cocked. After spending so much time running after his mother looking for everybody, he was ready for a little rest while his mother continued calling out.
To his surprise, someone responded after a little while. Skiron turned around as his mother did, looking at the horses in the distance. Two were golden in color like himself and the other was a buckskin. His mother bolted after them, asking for him to follow and Skiron somewhat reluctantly picked up a gallop and trailed behind her. His mother did not hesitate to make physical contact and show signs of affection with the golden stallion. One of Skiron's ears flicked back in confusion. Who was this? Was he supposed to know this horse? Skiron stood in the back silently, choosing to wait to be introduced to everyone before just barging in and asking questions.

Pepper

Forty five minutes went by before Pepper finally stirred. She sat up with a low groan, rubbing her eyes on her forelegs to try and clear up her vision. She looked up to see her... foals? She had delivered twins, just like Ohanzee which would probably explain why everything hurt so bad. She sighed inwardly. While she'll love them the same, after taking care of Menhit and Romeo last year, Pepper had been hoping she'd only have to deal with one foal this year. Pepper rose up onto her hooves with another groan, rubbing her eyes once more she looked up just in time to see the buckskin ram his palomino sibling, sending the small little thing onto her side. Pepper walked up behind her foal, head lowered and ears pinned threateningly. At first it seemed taken back, as if her presence was a shock but the foal quickly snapped out of it and moved over to her flank to nurse and it's sibling soon followed.
As they nursed Pepper got to know them a little, the buckskin was a colt that she named Alkun and the palomino was a filly she named Empress. When they were done nursing Pepper spent some time grooming them to bond and check them over, make sure they were all right. She noticed quite a few white hairs by Empress' eyes. Pepper being a gray herself knew quite a bit about graying. The white hairs by her daughter's eyes are the first sign that she'll gray out and turn white one day like herself. Pepper was curious to see how she'd gray out, what colors will she go through, how fast will it take for her to gray as she had never seen a palomino gray.
Soon after that they returned to the herd, Pepper had been gone for a little over two and a half hours. Pepper walked slower than normal, her body still ached. She looked up, whinnying to Riff but she fell silent when she saw he was talking to another mare. Riff wouldn't care right now. Pepper stopped somewhat far away from the herd. Everything hurt. Pepper's head hung low, her eyes partially closed. She wanted to sleep but she couldn't, not out here in the open with a new, unfamiliar mare around.

After a quick five minute break the twins resumed their struggles to stand Fall after fall after fall, each feeling more and more discouraged every time. They were about to give up entirely when something finally clicked and they managed to stand properly Empress held her head and tail up high in pride but frowned when she saw her brother standing next to her as well. Empress pinned her ears and headbutted her brother in the shoulder hard as she could, knocking him off his feet and sending him back down to the ground. Empress smirked, "Sucks to suck, loser." Empress stated before walking off on unsteady legs.
Alkun shook his head and glared at his sister but he did not immediately retaliate, instead choosing to just stand up and leave her alone for a while. As she tried out her legs Alkun did the same, desperately trying to learn how to walk gracefully before his sister did. The more he walked the stronger and more confident he felt. He turned around to stare at his sister who was on the other side of the clearing. Payback time. Alkun pawed the ground before running towards her, ramming his head into her shoulder, shoving her to the ground. Alkun smirked and spoke the same words she had said earlier to him, "Sucks to suck, loser." Alkun turned around to see his mother was off the ground, her ears pinned, dished head shaking slightly in disapproval.
Alkun perked up, ignoring her disapproving gaze and moved to her flank to nurse. Empress quickly scrambled back up and trotted towards her mother to nurse as well.
When they were done their mother took them back to the herd. Some foals hide behind their mother as they go back, but not these two. They walked in front of their mothers, working on their gates and practicing their best stances. When the herd entered their sights, specifically when they saw the two other young foals, the siblings looked at eachother and both took on a mischievous grin,
both thinking of the same thing.

Seeing no one would acknowledge her and that the adults were busy with the random foal, Menhit turned away from the group and started grazing somewhat uneasily. Now that they were all focused on the foal, it was her turn to keep watch. Thing is, she only has one eye. She acknowledged the lead's leave with a little head raise. She wasn't sure where the mare was going but since no one else was freaking out of following Menhit supposed everything was alright and returned to her grazing.
Riff suddenly moved off and called out to seemingly no one again and Menhit spun around to see what the hub hub was about. She looked at her father and followed her gaze to a bay Arabian standing at the river. Menhit's light golden ears flicked forward in interest. Are they finally going to have a new herd member?
Menhit's ear flicked back hearing hoofbeats and she spun around to see the lead returning with significantly smaller stomach and two small bodies beside her. Her ears flicked forward once more as things clicked. Oh right, she was pregnant! And these must be her foals! Menhit smiled slightly. She had siblings again! She trotted forward, her growing but still short tail flagged straight up.
She was not aware that she should ask a mother permission to go near her foals so Menhit simply just ran up. She lowered her head to match the level of the foals and nickered a hello to the two.

( Time to find Stormbreak someone to interact with :3 )
After she had eaten her fill, Stormbreak raised her head. With her tail raised, she trotted across the meadow, her eyes gleaming. She spotted a black stallion, with a couple of mares by him. Maybe she should go talk to them?
She walked up from behind, and let out a small nicker to the stallion and the other horses. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything." She whinnied, waiting for a reaction.
( She talking to you, Anubis )

    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
xxxxxxThe large Brabant stallion lowered his head, ears perked as he listened for a response. After listening for a few seconds, let out a huff and trudged on. That was before a loud whinny sounded through the air, catching his attention. Snapping his head around, he spotted the dark mare prancing toward him. A light smirk appeared on his lips and the stallion turned around completely, extending his nose as he trotted to her as well in order to close the gap between them. The dark mare whinnied again, lifting her head into the air. The stallion stopped and bunched his muscles, lifting his snout into the air and letting out a low neigh in reply. The stallion bowed his neck and trotted forward until the two were standing a good distance apart. Mason examined the mare, finding it a bit strange how she kept the other side of her face hidden from his view. Shaking it off, the stallion met the mare's gaze and let a lazy smile take over. A small 'hi' escaped the dark mare's lips, her voice soft. Maybe she was a bit shy? By that, the stallion decided to calm his confidence in order to not spook the mare. "Hello there, love." He replied gently, his head lowered slightly as he smiled. His eyes scanned over her pelt, smile strengthening. "It's lovely to see a beautiful mare like you, I've been quite lonely out here."

    ( ♔ ) ALL AMERICAN CASH !!
    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
all american cash "cash" -- stallion -- mare; elphaba -- 0 coverings -- mood; guilty, comforted -- tags/mentions; elphaba
    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
xxxxxxCash noticed as the mare relaxed lightly as he groomed her pelt. It was relaxing to the stallion as he calmed the mare. Her nerves were on overdrive with all the tension from earlier, and he'd managed to slowly calm her down and massage those tense muscles. Cash found himself also enjoying her returning gesture as he felt her light touch on his neck, pulling clumps from his pelt just as he did to hers. A yawn escaped the mares lips and the stallion felt a deep chuckle rise in his chest, lightly escaping his lips. Her touch left his neck at one point as she thought over his words, but the stallion continued his grooming in order to keep her relaxed. Her words lit a spark inside himself and he felt pride wash over him. "I suppose I am." She replied to him, the stallion allowing a smile she could not see form on his lips. Her touch returned to him and Cash felt a clear happiness fall over him, a happiness he never felt. He was happy to be in the company of Elphaba and to have finally made some progress on what was to be a herd, his herd. Although he had but only one mare, this was only the beginning. More mares wander these plains and Cash was ready to find them. Taking a few steps back, the stallion stood face to face with the mare, a clear smile formed on his lips. "This is the start of something great, I can feel it." The stallion said, meeting the mare's eyes. "We may be just two as of now, but there could be many more in the future, and you're the start of it. I'm glad you are."

    ( ♕ ) LOST MAIDEN !!
    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
lost maiden "maddy" -- mare -- heat stage; 4 -- no stallion -- mood; intrigued, flirtatious -- tags/mentions; anubis, breeze, binhi
    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
xxxxxxThe spotted mare flicked her mane, ears perked as she listened to the stallion. A light smile stayed glued to her lips without faltering, watching the handsome stallion as he spoke. He is like a perfect god fallen from the heavens; muscular and strong, handsome and confident. Maddy shook her head and cleared her thoughts, letting out a huff through her nose. These were the thoughts clouding her mind, heat making her anxious and squirmy. It was so strange for her to be this desperate, but she'd also never been this deep in her heat before. Even experienced and respectful, she couldn't battle the hardships of heat, especially it being so high and strong this year, taking over her mind and thoughts like a drug. Her thoughts halted suddenly as she felt the Anubis's tender nose against her should, sending shivers down her spine. Maddy cocked her hoof and relaxed slightly, eyes flicking to the stallion with a smile. His light touch migrated to pinto mare and she thought over his question, which she suspected was directed to the both of them. She actually had no other interesting answer, other then that she had no luck with finding decent stallions this year. "I don't really have any other answer, other than that I couldn't find any decent stallions this year." The spotted mare let out with a sigh. She stretched out her neck and began to groom the fur on his shoulder, pulling out little clumps of dirt. "That has obviously changed." Maddy chuckled quietly, continuing grooming his shoulder as Anubis groomed Binhi.

    ( ♕ ) POPPY SEED !!
    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
poppy seed "poppy" -- mare -- status; pregnant -- stallion; olympus -- mood; excited, pleasant -- tags/mentions; olympus, jewel
    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
xxxxxxThe chestnut mare smiled to Jewel lightly, lowering her head in a polite manner. "It's nice to meet you, Jewel." Her ear then swiveled to the side and listened to the stallion speak, asking to invite Jewel. Her attention then returned to the other mare, her smile widening in excitement. If the mare was to join them, it would be the three of them as a happy little herd. Poppy was already excited over the idea and found that the company of another mare would be good for her. She liked kind mares like her and she already found that the two could get along nicely. Thinking even further into the future, her own foal could have their own little friend if she was to be covered. But the mare was obviously thinking way to far into the future and needed to slow down.

    ( ♕ ) BLUEBIRD !!
    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
bluebird "blue" -- mare -- heat stage; 2 -- no stallion -- mood; nervous, pleasant -- tags/mentions; jericho
    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
xxxxxxThe mare lowered her head slightly, ears perked as she listened to the stallion speak. His name was Jericho, and he wanted to hear her name. A small smile lifted on the dappled mares lips and she met the stallion's gaze. "My name is Bluebird." The mare replied gently, lifting her head to try and meet the stallions eyes level, yet he was so tall compared to her. "Bu-but please, call me Blue." Blue added a little quickly, having forgotten to mention it before. "It's nice to meet you, Jericho." She added to the end, mustering up enough confidence to speak louder and more clearer. She hadn't had much luck with other stallions before, but this one seemed decent. Of course she still didn't know much about him, so she didn't want to make too many assumptions. Another high-pitched whinny rang through the air and caught Blue off guard, jumping slightly at the sound. The mare glanced to the side with widened eyes, ears perked and alert. She seemed to grab Jericho's attention as well, as he whinnied back in reply. It was another mare. There were so many mares around here.

A Wild Sandstorm

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

∞ Sandy ∞ Mare ∞ Arabian ∞ 8 Years Old ∞ Form
∞ Tags: Herd, Alex ∞ Stallion: Reserved ∞ Foals: None ∞
∞ Current mood: Curious, Friendly, Calm ∞

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Sandy had continued through the forest until it stopped and spread out to a field. She stretched her legs and moved into a gallop, but soon slid to a stop. In front of her was a small herd grazing. She perked her ears and let out a small whinny, trotting over to them. She then stopped a few meters away, flickering her ear back, uncertain if she was welcome here. "I go by Sandy," the mare replied, lowering her head. "It's nice to meet you." She was a bit unsettled by the two mares behind who seemed to not be fond of each other. Get yourself together, you've finally found others, she thought to herself. She shook her head, "I hope I'm not interrupting anything?"

ARIA
Mare Eleven Arabian Foals: sonata Stallion: none Heat: three tags; Icarus
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Aria was happy just talking with Icarus. Like many mares, she loved having that bit of attention that made her feel special. Though as content as she may be, Icarus probably preferred a larger harem than just one mare. As lead mare, she would supply him of that, undoubtedly. It seemed, however, that the mare they had came across seemed to show only interest in the stallion. She didn't mind much, though lifted her head in a way that was both dainty, yet held a aura of superiority. The Arab mix, whom she learnt was referred to as Daae, was heavily pregnant, probably do to drop any day now. She wasn't sure how pleased her stallion would be with a pregnant mare in his herd, espically if she would birth a colt. Trouble was destined in such a situation.

HERA
Mare thirteen Akhal-teke Foals: none Stallion: none Heat: two tags; alex, alex's herd
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Hera only briefly noticed that the idiotic mare, Elena, had stepped forwards. The golden mare suddenly struck a front hoove out at her, nostrils flaring aggressively. She wanted this mare to get the hell out of this fight, stay and hide behind her soft stallion.
Hera couldn't contain a smirk as one of her hits collided with the mare. Not lead mare for long. She thought to herself, a dark expression worn on her face as she continued to move and wind out of the way of the kicks. They were rather uncoordinated, basically just kicking out wherever she could. Hera's, were rather well-aimed and would focus to hit on vital places like her ribs or legs. She didn't have a care for how much pain the mare would feel, she only wanted to win. Though, even though they weren't as focused, they still got the message through, and had managed to strike her. The position was Angel's. Not for long. Hera wheeled around and struck out her back hooves, her strength oozing through each strike. She would kick, then quick move back out of the females way. She was fired up and ready for anything that went her way.

NEPTUNE
Mare twelve thoroughbred Foals: none Stallion: none Heat: two tags; res for jericho (?)
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Neptune grazed in the lush, green forest, tail occasionally flicking away a few pesky flies. Her mind wandered absently, her mouth chewing on a few strands of grass as she became enveloped in her thoughts. It had been a few weeks that she had last seen her herd, their scent washing away from her already, being exchanged by the forest scents aswell as her heat.

ADELAIDE
Mare thirteen hanoverian Foals: none Stallion: none Heat: two tags; res for lakko (?)
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
—low muse for her, she's grazing btw—

MERCI
Mare twelve marwari Foals: none Stallion: none Heat: two tags; red for Anubis (?)
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
The marwari picked up her hooves, transitioning from a brisk walk to a steady trot. Her tail streamed out behind her like a banner, her presence clear to anyone around her. She would occasionally slow down and stop to lower her head to graze, though always started back up again. Merci looked round, muzzle lifted upwards to catch any scents of a horse. Though she hadn't scented any, she continued to be hopeful, pushing forwards.

NOBLE
stallion fourteen Arabian Foals: none in rp mares: ginny tags; ginny, catcher, carver
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
The Arabian nickered out softly to the cremello mare and her foal, interest sparking his eyes. He studied the behaviour of the mare, his warm and slightly excited gaze lowering to her pretty foal. He had no problem with fillies, colts were a different story, however.. He took a careful step forward, each step oozing a calm and relaxed vibe. He didn't want to come off as too jittery or too aggressive. He was a generally good-natured stallion to mares, though if the pair were to bolt, he'd have no choice other than to snake them back to Ginny. He opened his maw to speak. "Greetings, Miss. I am Noble, and this lass beside me is Ginny. What may you and your beautiful daughters names be." He inquired, head tilted to the side.

DANTE
Stallion fourteen thoroughbred Foals: none in rp mares: rizzo tags; rizzo, avril, jolene
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Dante's ears flicked forwards at the sound of his mare, Rizzo's voice. She had responded, and it was just as he suspected it to be. The two knew eachother. Though Rizzo was quite happy to see her, the other mare had other ideas. She didn't seem to express such kindness, and he wondered if this could be a problem. He took a step froward to talk to her and her foal. "Greetings, Darling. I am Dante, and I was informed that you already know this lovely mare?" He briefly turned his icy blue gaze to the katharwari.

She stopped, had the stallion, whinnied to her? She looked at the ground, contemplating whether or not to greet him. As much as she wanted to run off and be on her own, Alaska knew that a herd would be the safer route than travelling by herself. When she looked up again, the stallion's gaze had been saddened. She didn't know why, perhaps she could go ask the stallion, and then clear up a misunderstanding, or she could.. maybe join the herd? She nodded hesitantly and started to move forward in a slow trot. `` Did you.. want to talk to me? `` she nickered when she was in ear-shot of the stallion.

Okami

[male - bachelor - 0 coverings/ 0 mares

[tags/mentions: open ]

The pale palomino stood at the edge of a forest, keeping an eye on the various herds scattered around. The arrival of spring was a welcome gift even though he'd lost the only two mares he'd had for some time. The loss of the pretty pale mare, Mizu had been particularly upsetting since he'd spent so much time and effort getting her. No matter now. He'd shake off the loss and start over. It was all he could do. With a whinny to call any lone mares to his side, he pricked his ears, waiting.

Ohanzee

[mare - Riff's herd - hs 0]

[tags/mentions: Calamity, herd, the twins]

As Riff came towards her, Ohanzee's ears pinned as an obvious warning. Though he was their father, she wasn't going to allow him to get so close so quickly. Not until the pair had gained a bit more strength atleast. She nosed the stallion affectionately but the message was clear. He wouldn't properly get to know them just yet. Following him with her gaze, Ohanzee's dark eyes locked on the bay mare with disapproval. She was barely older than Ohanzee, perhaps only a year or two's difference but she'd likely want to be lead mare. Not so fast. Ohanzee was determined to keep her respected role as lead for as long as possible. Riff cast a glance back towards her, had he realized what might happen? Ohanzee met his gaze, sending him an almost cold glance before turning to Menhit. She needed to worry about the new mare later for her foals were the current priority. Ears pinned, Ohanzee extended her head to give the yearling a warning. Menhit wasn't as big as Riff but her boldness might frighten the fillies. She was wrong though. Ohanzee watched with interest as Hataalii eagerly went to greet her half-sister. Nosing the pair affectionately, Ohanzee watched as Pepper returned, looking just as tired as Ohanzee herself. And like Pepper, Ohanzee wasn't about to sleep either. The bay mare was too much of a threat.

Hataalii + Isadora

[fillies - Riff's herd - hs n/a]

tags/mentions: Ohanzee

So the huge pale stallion was their father. Isadora took to him immediately even though Ohanzee's protectiveness didn't allow them contact for long. As Riff left and a smaller palomino mare approached, Hataalii stepped forwards, eager to meet someone new. The young filly had a bit of difficulty pronouncing her name and ended up simply calling Isadora 'Izzy," but she'd soon finished her part of the introductions. "And this is our mum!" She said, proudly glancing up at Ohanzee. "What's your name?"

Mozart

[mare - jumpy - lone mare - heat stage 2]

[tags/mentions: Romeo, Reign, Adobe, Kettu

The stallion seemed friendly enough. So far. All he'd done was nicker though, making it clear that it was her choice to approach him or not. The mare made no impression yet and while Mozart stood back hesitating, yet another mare came into view. This one seemed a bit more confident than Mozart though since she was already approaching the stallion and mare. After another moments hesitation, Mozart followed the mare's example and headed towards Romeo, Reign, and the foal, ears flicking back and forth to display her wariness.

Merlot

[bachelor - 2 mares / 0 coverings]

tags/mentions: Half Pint, Thunder, Adobe]

Glancing between his two mares, Merlot flicked his tail. The tension between them still hung in the air, but fighting didn't seem imminent. "Thank you Hp. That's very kind." Merlot nosed her affectionately and looked at his lead as she signaled her wishes. With a small nudge to Hp, he feel just behind the mares as the herd moved off. Having Thunder back felt like a dream come true, even if he did have to worry about a possible battle between the mares.
A flash of movement was all he saw before a black appaloosa filly hurtled to a stop just infront of him. Ears flicking forewards in surprise, he gave Thunder a nicker, asking her to stop for a moment. "Ah, it's alright," He said, studying her closely. She was young, perhaps only a yearling? He didn't often see fillies that young without their mothers. Glancing around, he saw a small herd in the distance, perhaps that was this fillies herd? "I'm Merlot and this is Hp and Thunder," He introduced his mares. "I apologize for my bluntness, but aren't you a bit young to be on your own?"

Nimbus

[Mare - lone mare - hs 4

tags/mentions: reserved for Riot]

Nimbus rested in a small grove of aspens, eyes half closed. The playful little filly had matured into a lovely black mare. Nimbus still loved to play, something that had irritated her mother before her death. Nimbus had been lucky to remain with Sioux until the mare's death early that winter.
She was alone but if a stallion and his mares showed up, she wouldn't hesitate to join him, seeing as how late she was in her cycle but Nimbus didn't feel the urge to search for one just yet.

Eulah

[mare - lone mare - hs 2]

[tags/mentions: Alex's herd]

As if suddenly remembering her presence, the stallion spun to face her. Half paying attention to him, half watching the battle with interest, Eulah shook out her mane before replying. "That's quite alright. Things got a bit hectic so I don't blame you if you got a bit stressed. My name's Eulah by the way. Despite everything that's going on, it's nice to meet you." Eulah said. Her gaze flicked over Elena who'd moved a bit closers to the fighting mares. "Careful," She warned, eyeing Hera and Angel's flying hooves. "I wouldn't want to be nicked, even by accident." With all the chaos of battle, neither mare would realize if they injured someone else.
