The fae nodded in agreement. "I understand how you feel. Humans are more trouble than they're worth sometimes," she said, a tiny hint of sadness in her voice as she remembered her time in the shelters. There were so many dogs there that humans had left there, abandoning them because it was more convenient to the human. How she had grown to dislike their species. She did not feel sorry to have ended up in such a place - as it had been where she had met her pup's father, and it was also where Bosco was born. She did feel sorry for the other dogs that were left stranded in places like that, however. She knew there were lots more than the one she had come from.
Realizing she had let her mind drift off slightly, the fae turned her head to catch sight of Sadie resting atop her perch, exhausted. Cas chuckled, shaking her head. "I'm glad she's worn herself out already. The poor dear hasn't had much good sleep lately." She looked back at Yonai. "So, you're a fighter, right? How did you choose that position, if you don't mind my asking?"

The young pup stifled a yawn, stretching out her limbs before looking over from her perch. She felt eyes on her, and was curious to see who the eyes belonged to. She saw the queen talking to a fighter near where she had started to climb her perch, and as she kept scanning, she laid eyes upon another pup. Wagging her tail, the pup grew happy to see the other pup. Although much older than herself and of a different breed, she looked rather lonesome. Sadie hoisted herself onto her paws and began her descent.

Morning came all too quickly for the three year old; she had spent most of the night hunting in vain and, as a result, did not get the sleep she needed to feel refreshed. Her paws ached from all the walking she'd done in the past few weeks. Although she was used to running about from her time on the farm, she'd always had a bowl full of kibble and a warm place by the fire to replenish her spirits. Thinking of the kibble now made her mouth water longingly, her stomach growling in response to the thought. She didn't remember the last time she'd eaten, but now as she yawned and rose to her aching feet, she decided to try to hunt again. She couldn't afford sleep now that the day had broken - it was far too dangerous to be asleep when other dogs and threats were up and on the move.

Having been up early, the male trotted around the den, doing an early perimeter check before most of the pack had awoken. Nose to the ground and eager to pick up scents, the hound made his way around the area. So far so good, he thought to himself before he picked his head up to find a young pup walking on three legs toward the healer. Wanting to be of help, Paddy made his way toward the pup. "Are you okay? What happened?" The brute asked the male, his head tilting to the side out of concern. He had always been a caring guy, but usually his caring front came from a love of making sure no rules were broken and from his love of playing the role of peacemaker.

Giggling gleefully, the pup began to lick the face of his new playmate. This was his new phase. To get his energy out, the pup loved to lick the faces of all his playmates before chasing them around for a bit. For everyone's sake, hopefully it will go away sooner rather than later. For now, Bosco tumbled to the ground after losing his balance, opting to roll in the dirt before standing back up. "You think you've gotten rid of me so easily, do you?" He asked in a playful, yet a bit cocky tone as he began to nip at Rigby's legs - a little harder than what the male had nipped at Bosco's legs.

Cajun stretched his legs out, enjoying the feeling of grass beneath his paws. From where he stood near the food pile he could see most of the pack members up and about, starting their days. He wondered when they would go on a patrol, but made no notion to start one up on his own. He wanted to enjoy the slow pace of the day while it lasted, as much of the time it got busy rather quickly. He looked about the grounds, watching a pup play with another pack member while another limped toward the healer. He sighed before getting up and padding to the stream to get a drink of water.

After a little bit of walking, the female's ears pricked at the sound of approaching paws. Readying herself for the worst, the female turned around, baring her teeth in case the new company wasn't friendly. As the newcomer approached enough for her to catch his scent, the female relaxed. It was one of the pack's fellow hunters, Aspen. Chuckling nervously, Player uttered a bark in greeting to the male. "You scared me half to death, Aspen. What're you doing out here all alone?" She asked, twitching her tail as she walked toward him.
