◤xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx◥♕ IZLA◣xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx◢alpha ♕ golden retriever x german shepherd ♕ 5 years old ♕ scent: mint ♕ location: her den ♕ tags: aero/EVERYONE IN CAMP/apollo
feeling: calm/content ♕ INJURED - Deep gash on shoulder. Looking to the Doberman from under her eyelashes, Izla sent a playful growl his way, the male's goofy game drawing a smile to her maw. Taking a few moments to clean her wound, Izla, for possibly one of the first times in her life, enjoyed the quiet. Although Francis was still adamant about refusing her leadership, Aero's small show just then showed her that, while he may still have an issue with authority, he was beginning to warm to her. And having him on her side would be of huge benefit to her. Perhaps he might even prove to be a good choice for lead fighter. Sighing, turning her nose to the mouth of her den, she watched the hustle and bustle from camp - or, what she could see from the small mouth of her den. The sight wasn't pretty - many injured dogs bustling around the cam, waiting for the healers to finish with their peers, but the sight also filled her head with a little hope. They had all come together to aid one another, to protect the pack. Standing, the fae took a few short breaths, then, with a high head, strode out into the camp. As best she could, the Alpha bounded up to one of the rocks that sat outside of her den, surveying the area before speaking, her clear voice easily projected through the camp. "Fighters, hunters, healers, mothers. I wanted to take this moment moment to thank you all. What occurred this afternoon was not something that was faced easily." Looking around the camp, she allowed her dark gaze to fall on each member of the pack present. "I know that many of you were injured. I know that many of you were afraid. Yet, you all moved to face your fears, to attack that creature that could have killed any of us with any precise blow. As a team, you came together to meet the largest battle that any of us have faced in life so far. And that, pack members, is beyond admirable. " Taking a second to dip her head, ensuring that the pack knew that her thanks were sincere, she continued. "As a small thanks for your effort, you are all released from duties for the remainder of today. Healers, once all injuries have been attended to, you are relieved as well. Enjoy your evening, pack. Visit the river, explore the forests, introduce yourselves to pack members that you may not have met previously. As dawn breaks, your duties shall resume, but for now, take a rest. " Allowing a small smile to spread across her maw, she then stepped down, tail wagging softly as she observed the pack. Her dark eyes fell on one form, and her tail ceased to wag for a second. There was one more thread to tie up. "Apollo." She called to the husky, and, with a nod of her head, she summoned the male to her den. Padding inside the dim, cool space, she sat back down, rolling her shoulder lightly to ease stiffness.

feeling: calm, collected. Picking up a small poultice in his mouth, showing off the breed's famous 'gentle mouth', Aeon cocked an ear to the male as he asked him a question, smiling softly. Before he could lower his mouthful to the ground to answer him, however, young Lily piped up, and, while she distracted the male, he applied the poultice to the male's wound. The mashed-up leaves and berries would sting, and so Aeon worked quickly, moving away as Lily asked him a question. "I hope that didn't hurt too much, Apollo. Miss Lily, could you fetch me my purple poultice? It's much like this one, but a different colour. It should be just there, in that corner of the den. Thank you." Moving his attention back to Apollo, he answered his question. "Actually, son, Miss Lily was almost correct. I know that you are all strong enough to bear the pain until I get to you, but I also think that it's always important to remain calm when faced with an emergency. If one allows themself to panic, then mistakes will be made. And in my profession, son, mistakes might be fatal." Picking up a broad, flat leaf from beside him, pressing it to the wound firmly but gently. "Now. That should stay put until your wound is almost healed, but if it falls off, come back to see me again." Dipping his head to Apollo, he spoke again. "Would you mind sending someone else into me?" He requested of the fighter, smiling to him once more.

feeling: afraid/hopeful ♟ INJURED - Damaged flank/Scratches on legs
Dark ears pricking as he heard approaching paw-steps, Yonai's heart soared as he spotted one of the healers' apprentices approaching. Nudging Bosco, he whispered "You're gonna be okay" to the pup before standing, getting out of Violet's way. As she asked him to get water, it took him a second to respond, pale eyes glued to the pup with a heartbeat racing in his ears. "Huh? M-me? Oh! Water! Right!" Stepping carefully away, the male lowered his head to Kyna, licking the top of her head lightly. "You stay here, keep Bosco company, okay?" He said softly to the female pup, then, without even a heartbeat's hesitation, launched himself out of the den, thundering through camp like a bull. Reaching the small river, skidding to a stop not soon enough and splashing his forelegs into the water. Looking around frantically for something to catch water in, the fighter carefully picked up a broad, flat leaf, holding it as carefully as he could, dipped his head down to the water, lifting his head as slowly as he could to ensure minimum spill. Walking extremely slowly back to the camp - agonizing for the brute, as every instinct telling him to rush back - after what seemed like millenia, Yonai returned to the den. Digging a small rivet into the soil in front of Bosco's nose, Yonai dropped his beloved package - leaf and all - inside, nudging the pup again. Violet seemed to have wrapped his wound, so Yonai stood hesitantly, looking from pup to healer as worry danced behind his eyes. "Is there anything else you need, Violet or can I... Can I bring him back to his mom?" He almost hesitated on the last sentence. Bosco would be best with his mother, but Yonai felt almost guilty about bringing him to her. He felt like he should have caught the pup before he was hurt, but he was too fixed on the fight, enjoying the bloodshed too much to realize that Bosco was in danger.
Hearing approaching pawsteps, Yonai's ears pricked, and his eyes narrowed as he spotted one of the hunters approaching, seemingly worried about Bosco. Why? As far as Yonai knew, this hunter had never so much glanced in the male's direction. Nonetheless, the pit mix took it upon himself to answer the question. "He.. He got in the way of the fight. Bear hit him almost square in the chest." Yonai's voice was steely, carefully calm and collected. He didn't want to show emotion to this stranger.

feeling: excited/saddened Long tail wagging from side to side, Heilyn gave her full attention to the pretty fae in front of her. However, her pure excitement faded as the Border Collie spoke of her past, Lyn's tail drooping down between her legs. Sadness burned behind her eyes as she regarded the female, who spat out venomous words about her past. "Oh..." Heilyn breathed, for the first time in her young life rendered speechless. She had heard whispers of tales of humans making dogs fight one another. A beagle pup that she had met at a hunt once told her a story, but, after being reprimanded by his elders, soon admitted that he had heard the same story at another hunt. She had thought dog fights to be just that - tales passed on from pup to pup with no real beginning. But, judging by the emotion burning behind the Border Collie's eyes, she knew her preconceptions to be wrong. "I'm.. I'm sorry..." She offered, knowing that her words would likely mean nothing. Lowering her head, she looked away, allowing the fae to have her moment. Looking back, Lyn allowed her tail to wag softly once, tilting her head lightly. "Well, at least living with the pack is better, right?"
◤xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx◥⚔EIRA◣xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx◢loner ⚔ australian shepherd dog ⚔ 4 years old ⚔ scent: jasmine ⚔ location: outside pack territory ⚔tags: xantara/arvish/pack
feeling: apprehensive Watching the male approach them, Eira's ears flattened towards her head, licking her nose. If he spotted them so easily, why wouldn't others. Who was to say that other dogs with shorter tempers would not be approaching soon? Lowering herself further, eyes flitting from male to female copperdog while she waited for Xantara to explain their actions. Cos, right now, her life in the paws of this male Malinois cross, she didn't feel like talking. A strong, coppery scent hit her nose, and she noted the large wound that decorated the male. She hadn't spotted it earlier, and her eyes widened at the sight of it. Sure, it had been inflicted by a creature at least ten times her size, but if he could move even under the pain of it, then these fighters were tougher dogs than she gave them credit for. Licking her nose once more - the female's 'tell' - she allowed her eyes to move past the male, scanning the pack for signs of their cover being blown. Any sign of another pack dog so much as looking in their direction, and Eira would be out of here. She wasn't risking her life, no matter how 'noble' their intentions.
((No muse for this gal. I might just wait for Arvish's next post c: ))
