Amy stood in front of the tiger enclosure, her pale hand pressing against the glass that kept the vicious predators away from the guests. She always came down here whenever she was finished with filling in a stack of paperwork, it was one of her favorite areas to visit here. Amy turned her head slightly, noticing the zoologist, Luna Moore, out of the corner of her eye. "Perhaps she enjoyed it here too." She thought to herself, turning away to stare back over at the tigers, they all snored in a deep, relaxing slumber. One of the tigers had stirred from its rest, it yawned silently and blinked slowly at the two humans that watched them. It was one of the adult females, one of Amy's personal favorites, Lilith or Lilly as she sometimes called the gigantic tiger. Lilith was gorgeous in Amy's opinion, she was a majestic beauty painted in the brightest of gold that shined in the sunlight, it felt as if it brought light to the enclosure. The female tiger slowly and silently made her way over to the gazing human, Amy, rubbing its golden coat against the thick glass. Amy chuckled as she did so, memories of raising this tiger when she was a cub glinted in her mind.

Kylie, took a deep breath and crossed her arms as she stepped in the habitat, the jaquars could be quite dangerous, but you had to be brave if you wanted to train animals correctly. They have to respect you and once they have respect you must grow a bond. She had been bitten by a wolf before when she was in training. Instead of freaking out she stayed calm and the next day she trained the wolf and eventually a bond grew.

Now, surronded in the jungle/rainforest feeling habitat, kylie blew her whistle softly so not to hurt the delicate ears of the animals. She dare not put or bring food on her so the animals would not atatck her just to get the food.

Avery spent some time looking for something to do, carrying about a small bag that was full of mostly random items he felt he needed. A small book or two, a journal, an old toy Saffron used to chew on. He actually wondered if Saf' would still treat it like a toy or try and tear it up. Really, he tried to chew it up when he was young but, he was too small to do so. Avery smiled to himself, deciding to make his way to the leopard enclosure for now. Seeing Yu Chun would be nice. One of the first animals he had come to know and care for. He made his way off to the enclosure, opening to the door into the fairly cold area. Not much looking around later and he spotted the pale feline, slowly setting his bag down in a safer place and walking a little closer. He clicked his tongue loud enough for the snow leopard to hear, watching him lift his head and tilt his head at Avery. He knelt himself down and waited for the mostly blind Yu Chun to wander over.

Yu Chun laid lazily in his cold enclosure, his long fluffy tail slowly giving a twitch. It was pleasantly quiet, something he always enjoyed. He licked at his toeless paw and rubbed his face against it. He was going to continue to action though got distracted by a familiar clicking coming from somewhere across the enclosure. Even though it could've been anyone, Yu had only ever heard that noise from Avery, at least that loudly. He picked himself up slowly, climbing down from where he was and toward the blonde. Once closer he nudged his head into Avery's arm, laying himself down again as, honestly, he was still tired.

Long legs tucked beneath her, Meghan sat silently at the glass pane of the leopard enclosure, her green eyes almost desperately surveying the scene in front of her. A light frown decorated her features as she watched the boy sit with the leopard, long nails tapping against the clipboard that she clutched to her chest. Yes, the leopard was blind, and, even more than that, he needed extra attention, but treating him like a house cat was not exactly something Meghan would agree to, and now, as she watched the boy kneel beside the leopard, it took every conscious fiber of her being to stop herself from barging in and telling the boy off. Blinking as harsh light shone in a crack in the curtains, Adam shot straight up, cursing his phone's quiet alarm. Once again, he had slept through the alarm, and now he was late. Almost hesitantly, he checked the phone's clock, groaning when he saw that, not only was he late, he was spectacularly late. Bounding out of bed, he dressed quickly, pulling on a camo jacket over his black t-shirt and jeans. "Now no one will see me, so they won't know I'm late!" He laughed to himself, taking the minute or two to make sure his hair was perfect before he pulled on his trusty black beanie, stuffing his phone and keys into his pocket before launching out the door.
Jogging softly to the A Building - he didn't want to break a sweat, after all - he let himself into the building, glancing around for anyone. No one seemed to notice him, so he straightened out his jacket, making himself look like he had been there since looong before he was supposed to be. Checking his jacket pocket, he pulled out the little book that contained the list of animals that they currently had at the rescue. Many little, colourful pictures looked back at him as he tried to decide what to do first.

What he thought was a low, fearsome growl rumbled up Yera's throat, his eyes fixed on his target. His small, pink tongue darted out, licking his lips almost hungrily as he took an almost silent step forward. Bunching up his muscles, he paused, biding his time until his prey was close... closer... closer...
Leaping forward, Yera landed on the small leaf, growling ferociously as he crushed the dry leaf beneath his large paws. Yes! Bouncing off his prize, his heart fell when he noticed that the leaf was no longer in one piece, and he was unable to pick it up. Lowering his nose to the pile, he snuffled, letting the leaf-bits fly across the ground. A cry that may have been recognizable as a laugh erupted from his throat as he spun in mid-air, trying to catch all of the bits at once. Falling on his rear, he huffed, looking around him. He liked playing, but he didn't much like being alone. Opening his mouth wide, he let out his best roar attempt - nothing but a loud squeak - hoping to catch someone's attention.

Ragnar blinked slowly, his many injuries biting at his nerves as he floated almost lifelessly in the clear water. Others of his kind shared the tank with him, but there was a female in their midst, and while these injuries still stung him, he would not allow them near him. Pushing his tail fin gently, he allowed himself to float forward, watching himself in the glass. All he could see were the large false eyes that decorated his head, but he knew well enough that it was him. Opening his large mouth, he let out a little click, as though he were speaking with his reflection. His call bounced off the glass, returning to him as though it were a family member calling to him. Closing his eyes, he allowed himself to imagine that it were his mother calling for him, telling him to return from his play. But alas, it wasn't. Opening his eyes once again, he propelled himself to the surface, taking a breath before allowing himself to sink once again.

Powerful hind flippers propelled Nimue forward, the female Sea Lion spinning and dipping, ducking and dancing through the clean water. Where she had been before, the water of her enclosure was dirty, a green scum decorating the top. It almost always made her ill, but here! Here, the water was clean, clear, and she enjoyed her food more than ever. Speaking of...
Where was breakfast? Shooting herself to the surface of the water, she almost launched herself out of the water and onto one of the walking areas. Opening her mouth, she called out, wondering where the humans were and if they were bringing breakfast soon. Her loud call echoed across the surface of the water, and she stopped, listening to herself until the echo faded away. When it did, she called out again. She wanted attention, and she wanted it now.

A large maw opened wide into a yawn as Tala blinked herself awake. She was still not quite used to not waking up in a cosy dog bed, but this little kennel thing was comfortable anyway. Licking her lips, she stood, shaking out the creamy white pelt before looking around. The little door to the enclosure was open, and so she stepped out, her still adolescent, disproportionately long legs stepping carefully into the cool air.
There were other wolves in their enclosure, but she was still rather wary of them. Amber eyes blinking softly, she looked around, watching them all with a mixture of intrigue and worry. A rumbling in her stomach told her that she was hungry, but she ignored it. She knew that food would be coming soon, so there was no need to worry.

Landing on another one of the perches, he lowered his head to his wing, cleaning his plumage with his sharp beak quietly.

The blonde teen pet the leopard's head lightly for a few minutes, giving a little sigh as he did so. He usually tried to visit his old friends when no one was around, avoid others getting mad and the sort. He rested his hand on Yu Chun's back and looked around the enclosure slowly, a slightly distant look on his face. It was hard to think the large feline may be released one day, back out into the wild and on his own. He should've been fine with the thought, honestly. Releasing animals that were fit to take care of themselves was common, even in the place he was training at. Letting out another heavy breath he stood himself up, giving a quick pet to Yu's head before looking for his backpack and heading to the door. He'd been trying to distance himself a bit lately though, it wasn't working as well as he hoped it would. He still visited his old friends and still felt a need to care for them like they were young. He stepped out from the enclosure and stood quietly, leaning against a nearby wall and groaning to himself.

The pale leopard remained laying where he was beside Avery, leaning into pets every now and then. Once the blonde stepped petting him he rolled onto his side, stretching out his large paws slowly. Feeling Avery stand not long after made him lift his head, watching the young man walk away and out of the enclosure. He stared toward the door for a moment or two before lifting himself from the ground and hobbling back toward where he had been laying earlier. He enjoyed the stony ledge, it was nice and chilled, just right for him. He hopped his way back up carefully, sitting himself down atop the rocks and lifting his head to sniff at the open air.

walking her way to the leopard enclosure, lillian looked around. through all these years, she had finally became what she wanted to be- an animal behaviorist. she had loved animals but she thought she wasn't fit enough to become a regular zookeeper. she wasn't very fond of going out into the wild and being forced to clean animal turd. once lillian got to the enclosure, she stepped from one foot to the other, her braids trailing off behind her. through the glass, she saw the reflection of meghan, a very fine lady who also worked the same job as her. she's probably much more experienced. lillian thought to herself and silently chuckled. meghan looked somewhat sad. lillian slightly touched her on the shoulder anbd whispered,"what's wrong meghan?"
