Pepper | Mare | Arabian | 6 Years | Riff's Herd | Heat Stage: 1 |
Tags: Riff, Ohanzee, Taylor
Pepper shied away slightly when Ohanzee pinned her ears, fearing the mare was going to hurt her or drive her off. Then a second later Ohanzee stopped pinning her ears and her features became more relaxed, which in turn allowed Pepper to relax a bit more. She spoke nicely enough to Pepper. Perhaps she could form a friendship with the mare. Pepper was going to speak again when Riff started grooming Ohanzee. Pepper backed away from the pair, not wanting to be rude or annoying, she turned to instead talk to Taylor, only to be met with bared teeth and a swinging hoof. Pepper spun around on her hind legs and quickly darted away from the mare, not stopping till she had a good 10 yards between them. Pepper turned around to look back at the mare, wandering if the mare would chase her. The roan mare, Ohanzee went over to Taylor to correct her. Pepper felt a little relaxed by that, at least it didn't seem like Ohanzee also wanted her gone, but she was still nervous. Pepper snorted and lowered her head to eat the grass, watching the mare carefully. What's wrong with that mare? Seems to be a little problem child, probably the reason the herd was fighting earlier. Was she always going to be like that? She hoped not.
Pepper was inclined to follow Ohanzee when the mare walked away, and she wanted to move back into the herd, but she didn't want to go near that Taylor, so she stayed to the outside to graze, only taking a few steps towards Ohanzee when she got a little too far for Pepper's comfort.
