"What?? How could you say that to me??" Timber felt outraged at the dig, his fur spiking in anger. Of course he would lay down his life for her, it was his duty as her mate! He held his tongue as she walked back into the den, not wanting to make a scene or follow her in. He also felt extremely irritated that it just happened to be a male that saved her, making the situation even worse. "You can go be his mate then.." His jaws wrapped around the rabbit which he proceeded to eat alone.

Ariete got up as well. She trotted to the river. She sat by it, alone. All of this, for nothing. Two days of alpha and now he's decided to love someone else. Ariete didn't know who, and didn't want to know. She breathed calmly, although she wanted to break out into tears. She stood over the edge of the calm river, her reflection appearing. She gazed at it, her face staring back at her. She took notice to how small she was.

"Haha, you're too small!!!" Yelled Aspen, and obnoxious pup from her old pack. Ariete, being the small, fragile pup she was, stepped back. "There's no way you'll win and become an omega, like us!" Yelled Tess. Everyone nodded in agreement. She lunged forward, and missed, falling. Everyone laughed.

Ariete trembled, and before she could regain her senses, a tear slid down her face. She collapsed at the river, tears spilling over. She watched a tear drop into the river. Why was her life this way? She tried to find happiness after her dark life as a pup but that clearly did not happen.

Pine shuffled sideways away from Ariete. "So well...." She said, shifting awkwardly. "I don't really... I finally made my choice. Its not Timber. I don't know how to break it to him." She sighed. "And how am I going to tell the wolf I choose though." She shuffled a bit and looked at Alek in the eyes.

Alek was shocked. He had figured Pine loved Timber. " I think you should just be honest with them. Whoever he, or she is, they deserve to know. " He smiled reassuringly. She had no need to be nervous. He was sure that whoever she chose, and chose her, would be happy with her. And he hoped she would be happy too. " I should probably go talk to Vex. Ill be back soon. " He bowed his head in respect and loped over to Vex.
