Screech yawned and opened his eyes. It was morning. He looked down at Aletta and Fish, asleep and smiled. I'll go get something for Aletta. He thought, knowing they already had food for Fish in a pile. He flew off silently, to look for prey.

Aletta woke up, to see Screech fly out. She smiled, and looked over at Fish. "He is so cute!" Aletta said with a smile. "Hey," She said gently waking him up. "How old are you?" She asked gently.

Screech soared through the forest, searching for prey. It has to be big, and perfect.. He thought, catching site of a rabbit. He quickly swooped, and grabbed the prey in his small talons. He tried to fly back up, but the rabbit was bigger then him. Being still alive, it tried to twist out of his grasp, jerking the American Kestrel around before finally throwing Screech off and hopping away. Screech groaned, and got up from where he lay on the ground. "I'll never be able to catch something good enough for her." He mumbled. Taking a deep breath, he flew up, and caught a small mouse before heading back to Aletta. He flew into the crevice and dropped the mouse. "Here....I...I'm embarrassed to give this to you." He stuttered, before turning away and hanging his head, as small tears started to drop down his cheeks.

Scarlet peeked out of the bush she had slept in. It had been torture for her, since she was used to sleeping in a tree hollow. Groaning, she remembered how hard she had worked on her last tree, to make the hole big enough for her to fit in, and the inside of it had been perfect. With a small sigh, she flew out and fluttered to the ground, pecking around for insects. "Stupid tornado." She grumbled, pulling up a beetle.

Rush slowly stretched his injured wing, careful not to do it too fast. It didn't hurt that bad, and he could fly alright. The pain wasn't unbearable. He knew he needed to rest, but he felt a pang of hunger, and decided to quickly forage for some food. Chirping happily, he flew to the ground and began searching.

Fawn sighed, struggling to stay strong and hold in her tears. "Come on, you're fine. It was a long time ago, and it's just a bunch of twigs. Get a grip. She blinked as her eyes watered. "S-special twigs, twigs that went to my nest. And not just my nest. Our nest. My family's nest. My children's nest. My mate's nest." She took a deep, shaky breath, and settled on the ground, trying to calm herself.

Asuka opened her eyes to tiny slits, then immediately squeezed them shut as the morning sunlight invaded them. Mornings were always hard for her, though she never knew exactly why. She opened her eyes again watched Scarlet leave the bush next to hers, and decided that she should do the same. In a minute or two... She closed her eyes again.
