Clementine shook herself a bit before answering, "Going pretty good, we got all this food!" She said, getting a little bit closer into the alley. When she felt secure enough, she dropped her food by her feet softly. Giving the larger dog a quick smile, she began chewing on some food. She always could feel safe around Beast. He definitely was threatening to humans, but a really sweet dog at heart. "What were you up to today?" She questioned, her head tilting to the side.

When his owners arrived back from the store, his paws pitter-patted against the hard wood floor until he saw them. Klaus wagged his tail graciously as they scratched behind his ears before returning to the kitchen. He anxiously awaited them to sit down so that he could rest besides them. The bull terrier even designated a special pillow for himself on the couch.

beast walked around her, sitting between her and the opening to the alleyway. "i went to the glowing M, and someone threw out half a fish sandwich" he said, his deep voice semi-echoing through the alley. he watched her eat, a smile on his face. she kind of reminded him of a puppy. most dogs did. if they were smaller than him he always thought of them as a puppy, and it was easy to be shorter than a dog like himself.

he kept his one ear perked, just in case he heard something unusual, like keys, chains, or leashes. he licked his lips slightly, letting his tongue stick out slightly through the gap his mouth left when it was rested. he slowly lowered his body to a laying position, licking one of his elbows, noticing something stuck in his fur, probably a branch. he slowly bit it off and spit it to the side.

letting out a small whimper as he jumped on her gate, and backing up two steps, she quickly regained her composure. but at the mention of the word walk, used by her humans to let her explore, excited her, her tail started wagging a little, her ears perking up slightly."a-a walk? alright! but i don't have my leash"she said, backing up a little more, glancing towards the door before looking back at the larger male. crap! she'd never been off her leash out there before. she ignored the comment about her collar, still pondering over the thought of actually exploring.

she watched as he had gotten the fence open and backed away, blushing under her thick fur at the offer. she was a little embarrassed that she had even said anything about being on her leash. she pondered for another couple seconds, before slipping through the fence, making her body low to the ground. she doubted she would be seen. times like these were when her humans would forget about her until she scratched at the door so she doubted they would notice.

she felt a strange rush of adrenaline jolt through her, being on the outside without her leash? it felt strange but maybe she could investigate the lowered black pavement that motorcars drove on. or she could investigate the trees, maybe other houses."oh i'm sorry, where are my manners, i'm ramona." she said, hesitantly sitting in front of the gate.

Buddy ignored the fae's "ego" remark reluctantly.

"Yeah, except that puppy 2.0 was a cat." The shepherd stuck out his tongue sarcastically at the last word. "Don't get me wrong, they're good company, but now when they steal all the attention." He decided it would be best if he didn't mention the accidental killing part.

"Anyways, what kinda name is that? Where'd you get it from?" Buddy had never heard a name like that. What even was a 'serendipity'? "Mine's Buddy, if you couldn't already tell from my friendly behavior." The shepherd was now sitting in front of the smaller dog, only a foot away, his ears pricked and his head bent low towards the ground with his gaze fixated on her; definitely an interesting pooch.

serendipity shook her head slowly. "i will never understand humans' habit of throwing things away when a better offer comes along." she clicked her tongue with a sigh.

"no clue. I heard a human saying it once and now it serves the purpose of a name. I gotta change it every once in a while so it's harder to keep tabs on me. I don't got the best track record in the city."

"Serendipity," Buddy muttered the name a few times, as if seeing if he liked the way it rolled off his tongue. It was alright; it suited her. He didn't know why, of course, but it did.

"Why don't you just stick to one name? Got too many enemies tracking you down?" Buddy joked with a slight chuckle. "Serendipity is a really unique name, though. It couldn't be that hard to find you around the city." Even in New York - as big as it was - dogs knew dogs, and it was easy to get information. "If you chose to interact with anyone and let them know your name, of course."

"Well, damn, pooch-with-alotta-names, you best get yourself outta that mess, yeah?" With that, Buddy arose from the spot that he had sat in too long and made his way over to the dumpster. He wasn't hungry, just looking for some stuff to do.

"So, pup, whaddya do around here for fun, all by yourself?" The shepherd's front paws were now against the metal side of the can as he held himself up, his head turned towards the aussie. "Chase your tail, or somethin'? Whaddya say we go out and cause some trouble? It's been a while for me."

He continued to what the dog, coming somewhat closer as he saw he was scouting for food by the trashcans. Cas figured he'd be able to snatch some food from the trashcan if they were tipped over. He'd make sure to keep his eye on the second dog though.
