Got it! Roamer leapt up in pride, clammping his jaws tight on the flat flying blue disc. He landed swiftly, waging his tail in satisfaction. But this fun game soon ran out, as his ears shot forward. His owner was calling him back towards the fence. The sun was slowly sinking into the steady, smooth lake, it was getting late. Roamer trotted forward, the disc in his jaws. His owner gave him a few pats on the head before putting his leash on and taking the disc from him.

The familiar clang on keys were all that broke the neighborhood silence. The door was opened, and Roamer followed in. The humans gave an exchange of words, occasionally his name was used. Then, his boy sighed, walking to his room and shutting the door. Roamer tilted his head in confusion, the house was bigger! Most of the furniture was gone. What was going on..? He couldn't figure this out for his own, sadly. He whimpered in a fit, and padded over to his small cuison of a bed. Closing his dull eyes, trying to drown out the noise.

Bohan / Great Dane / Male / The Forgotten / Location: Neighborhood / Tagged: Ramona

Bohan had already scavenged some ice cream and chili cheese fries from the boardwalk earlier that morning. Why some human was eating chili cheese fries that early was beyond him. He trotted along the side walk casually, as other dogs around him were being walked on leashes. He chuckled seeing a Shepherd dog sprawled in her fenced-in yard, which was tiny for her size, and she watched the other dogs being walked, longingly. He lowered his head, trailing the side of the fence and inhaling the scents until he reached the gate in front of her. "Wow, you couldn't look more bored." The cow-spotted Great Dane wagged his tail as he eyed her collar through the fence. Some guys liked taking girls' innocence, he just wanted their collars.
Tahlysin / Whippet / Female / The Forgotten / Location: Forgotten Territory / Tagged: Alskaa and Clementine

The spry Whippet was waiting for some kind of adventure to unravel. Upon hearing the other dogs' conversation, she walked over with her ears back and her tail between her legs. "Can I come with you? I promise not to get into any trouble." She was known for mingling with the humans more than the Alpha liked. But she enjoyed any kind of attention, so long as she wasn't being picked up off the ground against her will.

beast finished his fish sandwich, slowly raising to his feet. his body ached slightly. he didn't know if it was warning signs of arthritis, or he popped a joint, slept on something wrong. no lets face it, an old bus seat was not the most comfortable thing, but it was better than those fluffy pillows on hard linoleum floor inside a small cage. he had room to stretch out...kind of, he was a big dog and sometimes his head or rump would hang off the sides, but come on, he had freedom to get up as he pleased, move around, take night walks, his only problem was if he ever got a mate, they wouldn't be able to sleep on the same seat.

he started wandering around the city, his head low, his eyes glaring at anything on two legs. some of the pets were being walked, and all he could do was glare at them. how could they stand being restrained. it looked horrible. his original owner never restrained him, he was basically a stray dog who kept the old, mentally ill guy comfortable as his thoughts consumed him at night. he would lick the dirty tears off his face, it was nice, he had his own job. those pets were just items to the humans, they had no job, no place other than to make the humans happy.

he was still mad at himself for not being able to take the chain off his neck because some humans would take it as 'oh you ran off' and try to leash him. he would bolt off at these times, no one would want him as a pet, he would be the worst pet. he wasn't meant for pet life, humans served no purpose to him anymore. they betrayed him and the pack? that was where he belonged. he continued to walk through the city, running across the street as the humans did, zig zagging through them to get to the other die, panting at his effort in that.

ramona - untouched female - 4 years - native american shepherd / native american indian dog
ramona perked her head up as she heard a voice, noticing a rather large, cow spotted dog in front of her. she offered a small smile at the remark."my owners were too busy to walk me, so i was left outside for a while. not really sure when they'll be back"she remarked, slowly standing up. she was just slightly smaller than the other dog so she lifted her head to look him in the face.

she noticed his eyes on her collar, it was a little old and frayed, a light pastel pink with a mint green clip. she didn't really say anything on that, but her eyes scoured for a collar on him, she didn't find one. a couple thoughts went through her mind at this. maybe he was going to comment on how it was probably from the dog before her, maybe he'd comment on how it was too girly, maybe he'd judge her for being a house pet. she didn't know, personally she didn't care.

The basenji turned her attention to the nearby whippet, who was most alike her in size comparison. She gave a quick nod to Tahlysin, "Sure! The more the merrier, right?" Clementine was eager to leave the campsite, and her stomach was already beginning to growl. She lifted her nose up into the air, trying to see if anything stuck out to her. Her ears were also perked when she wandered, she always had to be aware of her surroundings. It wasn't long until Clementine's feet hit the warm pavement of the city, but she made sure to stick by Alskaa. She wasn't too familiar with the streets, but she managed to avoid the passerby humans with ease.

Klaus wagged his tail graciously as they scratched behind his ears before returning to the kitchen. He anxiously awaited them to sit down so that he could rest besides them. The bull terrier even designated a special pillow for himself on the couch.

What seemed like an instant, Roamer shot awake. It was dark now.. All his humans had settled down for bed. Roamer got to his paws, feeling his mouth was dry, he padded over to his silvery water dish. He lapped up the cool water, which seemed to instantly satisfy him. But, soon after, he needed to pee. He pushed himself out of the doggy door, into the cool crisp night. His ears ringed of the sound of crickets chirping, but that was really the only sound that could be heard. He padded to a nearby bush, soon releaved. But his ears shot up in alarm. He heard barking.. And not just any barking.. It was the strays.. He climbed atop of a stump, peaking out of the fence. He say some dark figures coming towards the neighborhood, Roamer barked in alarm.

Bohan / Great Dane / Male / The Forgotten / Location: Neighborhood / Tagged: Ramona

"Oh really?" Bohan asked rhetorically. The large dog looked up and down the sidewalk in case a human and its pet were to be approaching, or the Shepherd's humans. "Why don't you let me take you for a walk?" He quipped, standing on his hind legs as his body lifted off the ground. His forepaws perched on top of the gate while his muzzle nosed the gate latch. He eyed the female again, wondering what she was thinking. "It looks pretty snug," he commented on her collar again through struggling to open the latch on the gate. He growled finally flicking it up to allow the gate to open just a smidgen. "So, do you have any plans or can I steal you for a little bit?" Bohan backed away from the fence, still waging his tail lightly behind him. He was interested in showing her the life she really deserved, whether the house pet believed it yet or not.
Tahlysin / Whippet / Female / The Forgotten / Location: Forgotten Territory / Tagged: Alskaa and Clementine

Tahlysin jumped with glee, following the two dogs and keeping her narrow muzzle scenting the surface of the ground. She whined when her paws hit the heated pavement but straightened up to show she was tougher than the she was. Regardless of actual reality. "Mmmm I can smell the city market from here," she yipped suggestively, her tail wagging behind her as she kept up with ease.

    BUDDY
    ▫unaltered malexx▫four yearsxx▫dutch shepherdxx▫leader of the forgottenxx▫loc. city streetsxx▫tags. serendipity
Once the corndog was finished - which only took about 10 seconds - Buddy was on his merry way to explore the city, even though he already knew what there was to offer in means of buildings, people, and landmarks. The only things he didn't know for sure about were the new dogs that he didn't get to meet on his last trip around.

The boardwalk was full of people, but the city was worse; humans shoving each other out of the way, children crying because of lost mothers, house pets strangling against a leash to chase some squirrel. Yet as hectic as it was, Buddy always enjoyed it, especially when he was causing trouble.

There was a flock of pigeons scrounging for any sort of edible thing on the ground, and Buddy planned on spooking them just enough for them to fly towards the people, when he heard a human yell "dog". Now, if you grew up on the streets with humans constantly calling you that, you would have known what that meant.

Buddy took off towards the sound of the man's voice at a trot, his tail hanging low but his ears perked. Maybe today was his lucky day; maybe he would meet someone new after all.

The sound of metal on metal caught his attention, and as the shepherd turned into a narrow alley, his gaze fell upon a new face: an aussie. He immediately let out a bark that didn't sound too mean, and called out to her.

"Hey," If she was aggressive and told him to back off, he would, but not without a fight. "Pup!"

As he carried his food away from the sight of people, he noticed another dog. As he laid down and nibbled at the burger, he watched the other dog. The dog was rather large compared to him so he was cautious, not wanting to be attacked and loose more than just a limb this time.

Alskaa smiled at the small Whippet, glad that she wanted to join them.

As they reached the city, she watched the humans carefully. Most avoided them when they saw her wolfisn looks. When Tahlysin mention the market, she nodded. "We could steal some food from there. It will be easy, the humans don't seem to want to get close to me." She suggests, looking over at Tahlysin and then over at Clementine.

Roamer barked once again, "I know you're out there!" He bared his teeth, his tail twitching in anxiousness. No response. Am I seeing things? he growled, shaking his head. But before he could hop off, he heard something again.. That's it, I'm settling this, illusion or not. Roamer drove his claws into his wooded fence, scampering to the top, leaping down swiftly. Unfamiliar voices, they called to him. Like a lost instinct. He followed the sounds into the shadows, deeper and deeper. All he could see was darkness, but the sound was getting closer. It stung his ears, but somehow made him walk forward. Then, something zoomed past him. The roaring of a car infront of him broke him out of his trance. Roamer shook himself to his senses, "Where am I..?" He whimpered. He was most definitely lost.

letting out a small whimper as he jumped on her gate, and backing up two steps, she quickly regained her composure. but at the mention of the word walk, used by her humans to let her explore, excited her, her tail started wagging a little, her ears perking up slightly."a-a walk? alright! but i don't have my leash"she said, backing up a little more, glancing towards the door before looking back at the larger male. crap! she'd never been off her leash out there before. she ignored the comment about her collar, still pondering over the thought of actually exploring.

she watched as he had gotten the fence open and backed away, blushing under her thick fur at the offer. she was a little embarrassed that she had even said anything about being on her leash. she pondered for another couple seconds, before slipping through the fence, making her body low to the ground. she doubted she would be seen. times like these were when her humans would forget about her until she scratched at the door so she doubted they would notice.

she felt a strange rush of adrenaline jolt through her, being on the outside without her leash? it felt strange but maybe she could investigate the lowered black pavement that motorcars drove on. or she could investigate the trees, maybe other houses.
"oh i'm sorry, where are my manners, i'm ramona." she said, hesitantly sitting in front of the gate.
