beast finished his fish sandwich, slowly raising to his feet. his body ached slightly. he didn't know if it was warning signs of arthritis, or he popped a joint, slept on something wrong. no lets face it, an old bus seat was not the most comfortable thing, but it was better than those fluffy pillows on hard linoleum floor inside a small cage. he had room to stretch out...kind of, he was a big dog and sometimes his head or rump would hang off the sides, but come on, he had freedom to get up as he pleased, move around, take night walks, his only problem was if he ever got a mate, they wouldn't be able to sleep on the same seat.
he started wandering around the city, his head low, his eyes glaring at anything on two legs. some of the pets were being walked, and all he could do was glare at them. how could they stand being restrained. it looked horrible. his original owner never restrained him, he was basically a stray dog who kept the old, mentally ill guy comfortable as his thoughts consumed him at night. he would lick the dirty tears off his face, it was nice, he had his own job. those pets were just items to the humans, they had no job, no place other than to make the humans happy.
he was still mad at himself for not being able to take the chain off his neck because some humans would take it as 'oh you ran off' and try to leash him. he would bolt off at these times, no one would want him as a pet, he would be the worst pet. he wasn't meant for pet life, humans served no purpose to him anymore. they betrayed him and the pack? that was where he belonged. he continued to walk through the city, running across the street as the humans did, zig zagging through them to get to the other die, panting at his effort in that.
ramona - untouched female - 4 years - native american shepherd / native american indian dogramona perked her head up as she heard a voice, noticing a rather large, cow spotted dog in front of her. she offered a small smile at the remark."my owners were too busy to walk me, so i was left outside for a while. not really sure when they'll be back"she remarked, slowly standing up. she was just slightly smaller than the other dog so she lifted her head to look him in the face.
she noticed his eyes on her collar, it was a little old and frayed, a light pastel pink with a mint green clip. she didn't really say anything on that, but her eyes scoured for a collar on him, she didn't find one. a couple thoughts went through her mind at this. maybe he was going to comment on how it was probably from the dog before her, maybe he'd comment on how it was too girly, maybe he'd judge her for being a house pet. she didn't know, personally she didn't care.
