The kit nodded happily, grinning at his new father-like figure. "Okay!" He looked around and he saw a bird, just sitting there. He snuck up on the unsuspecting creature, and pounced on it when it was about to take off, and bit it's neck, killing it. "I did it! I did it!" He cheered. His mother chortled a bit, limping over next to Saleit. "Yes you did buddy"

She frowned when she heard the human yell, disrespecting the small dog. She nuzzled her mate's cheek once he had laid down, and smiled at him. She smiled knowing everything would be alright now, that their kits would grow up happy. "The poor thing's in a better place now, he won't have to suffer from the hunters anymore," She said, letting him know the poor runt was now in a much better place than where they were.

She glanced over at Saleit and nodded slightly. "Yeah, we should, c'mon" She smiled at them, and watched as Filla picked up his first catch and trot over to them. "Still. Momma, are you and papa mates?" Filla asked once again, determined to get an answer. Arctic just blushed furiously, and padded along back to the den, not knowing an answer to that question. They were just good friends, right?

He puffed out his chest. "I'd like to see another brute do this." He thought he heard something. Pricking his ears forward, he stared into the distance. "What? It looks sounds like dogs bar-" The sound of gunshots rang out in the air, startling him. Losing balance, he slipped off the branch and fell, managing to sort-of catch himself with a lower branch, breaking his fall a little bit before dropping to the ground where he lay, dazed.
