His heart pounded in his chest as his blue eyes looked around the forest frantically. What had happened to his pack? The smell of blood reeked in the air, and caused his senses to be clogged with the stench of crimson. He lifted his head into the air, letting out a deep howl that ripped threw the icy air with great force. He called for his pack desperately, hoping that they were ok. His ears were upright as he waited in agonizing silence for a call back.
