His chest clenched at the thought of his mother. His blue eyes were glossy with tears as he looked at her. When she spoke kind words, every bad memory left his mind. He smiled a bit, glancing down before meeting her gaze. When she leaned in and nuzzled him he licked her cheek affectionately. He looked away when tear dripped from his blue eyes. It was painful to think about, but she made it better somehow. He wanted to be ok, really he did, but he didn't know how. After watching his father be brutally killed, he had a side that no one saw; his weak side. Yes Luke was often very passionate about his feelings, but he never liked to seem weak. But here, in front of this wolf he met that day, she was seeing him weak. "You really mean that?" He finally asked after a long silence.
Rosie nodded. "Of course I mean that. I don't lie," she said softly. Emotional wolves were ones that she liked. Wolves that she could tell their true feelings and not some who pretended to be one thing and then, in secret, did another. She guessed she was like that last type, but she tried not to think about that because right now she was being extremely truthful. "Look Luke, everything will be fine between you and your pack and me. You won't have to worry about a thing after this war is over. You'll come out of it fine. I'm positive. And then it will go back to peaceful conditions with no rivals or anything. Just many wolves in one pack living in peace."
Luke
His jaw was clenched, his blue eyes clouded over with unimaginable memories. In all honesty, he was terrified of the war. Yes, he is an extremely skilled fighter, but scared for his life. "Yeah." He said softly, his voice almost a whisper as his head the now facing away from her. She was wise, and very kind with words. He flexed his paws, causing the muscles in his body to clench. His blue gaze was distant as he listened to the steady drip of water before talking. "I watched my father be killed by my alpha when I was a pup." He said quietly, his voice was so soft. "He was a really good wolf, highly respected in the pack. Afterwards my mom escaped with me and left me in Snowstorm territory." A shiver ran down his spine at the memory of his lifeless father laying still beneath his alpha. He couldn't believe he was telling her this, he had never told anyone. His blue eyes closed at the sight of tears streaming down his mothers face before she turned and ran away into the trees formed in his head. "I would've died if my pack wouldn't of found me." He shifted a bit, opening his eyes to reveal piercing blue orbs. His gaze once again, was distant as his mind raced with memories.
Rift
His tail tapped the rocky earth when her muzzle reached out to gently nuzzle him in gratitude. His gaze darted down to his paws quickly, a small smile on his face. "Well im glad you like it." He said softly, his blue gaze looking up to meet hers.
