There was a large crack in the wall of some abandoned building, and Koa skidded to a halt beside it. Working madly with his claws, he tried to open it more, but the wall of the building wouldn't crumble away. Cursing under his breath, he tried to squeeze himself into the opening, only managing to get his head stuck in the process. With his shoulders too wide to fit through, he was stuck without any real way to protect himself from anything coming up behind him. Realizing this in a split second, he wiggled around like a maniac, trying to free his head from the dastardly old building.

plucked, a shallow fray left
in the wake of its sudden
severing. Its modest scar
on every heart and mind will
go unnoticed and forgotten.

memory, attaching a solemn
piece of myself to the gossamer
veil of time that billows across
a ceaseless and unbroken sky.
