Alaska is home to many, many animals from enormous, sea-dwelling porpoises to small, ground-dwelling voles. Near Juneau, a pack of wolves resides, living off the land. Spring and summer are the ideal times to be a wolf, but in autumn and winter, life is rough. Because of that, this particular pack (dubbed the Howling River wolves by locals) is forced to venture closer and closer to human civilization. Naturally, this doesn't bode well with Juneau's two-legged residents. The wolves of this pack are timid in nature and hesitant to approach humans. In spite of this, a widespread fear has sent hunters out to cull the wolves in order to keep the population "in check." With nature already nipping at their tails, will the wolves persevere and come out on top, or will they die like those before them?
