Faith walks along a dirt trail. She thinks about May, about her family who died of hunters, Wolfy, and her future. She eats some berries. Faith is fairly thirsty, so she finds a small pond and drinks from it. She sits and stares at her reflection, thinking. She was thinking about everything... Faith lays down and puts her head down on the floor. She accidentally cut her paws on some sharp rocks, and tree branches scratched her on her journey. Faith stares at the sky, knowing that one day, she'll be the strongest of all. Then, she will show those hunters who is boss. In the meantime, she should get some rest. Faith finds a small cave and drifts into a light sleep.

Aspen watches over Wolfy. "Hey, kid, what happened?" He asked. Wolfy shakes his head. "Aspen, am I going to live..?" He asks. Aspen smiles. "Of.... course...." Aspen replies, not really sure of the true answer. Wolfy shakes his head.

Faith awoke, and it was dark outside. She heard a bear growl, and a few owls hooting. Faith cried. She thought, "What kind of puppy has to go through this?!" Faith was tempted to just walk out and let the bear kill her, but she didn't. She curled up into a ball at the very end of the cave and cried. She was cold and hungry.
