The nurse led us to the room then opened the door, let us in, then closed it after leaving. I watched the door for a moment before looking to Tika with my ears flicked back.

Tika smiled as the two entered. "Hey guys!" She said happily.


Lake smiled back to her.

I looked away before biting the inside of my lip and looking back at her "so...um...how are you doing...?" I asked with a slight half smile. My eyes weren't dull anymore since I got to see her alive.
