I watch as Captain bolts running in circles. "Captain. Are you serious" I ask as he darts from Rocky going farther down the paddock. I sit on the fence "He'll come back eventually. " I say rubbing Rat. "Captain!" I whistle for him, it looks like I'm only adding fuel to the fire. I watch as he bucks and rears in the field. "Stallions." I mutter under my breath, I try whistling for him again, it only makes him buck more. I adjust the sling, and walk into the barn. I get my book and go sit back on the fence. "He'll come when he's ready."

Rocky snorted and stopped in her tracks "Pretty boy are you just going to act wild?" The mare asked the stallion. She pawed at the ground impatiently and started to nibble at the grass waiting for him to calm down.


Clair nodded "Rocky is trying to get him I guess" she looked over at her little mare In the pasture.


Dallas went to the arena and saw Clair and Erin. He made Dusk walk past them and he did a little buck and trot. Dusk snorted at Rocky and Captain.

Erin
"He'll come when he wants. That's Captain for ya. Stubborn old horse." I whistle for him again, and he comes. "Finally you old mule." I say trying to mount him. I don't slide off, "That's a good sign." I urge him into a trot and ride into the paddock with the sling throwing me off a bit, but not much. "Why'd you spook?" I ask him. I try to canter, but start to slide off Captain. I stop him, and get my balance back.

Rocky came back to Clair and let her mount. Rocky looked at Dusk and Captain worried they might fight. She started to canter her legs moved like she was dancing.


Clair shook her head "Maybe if you ride with a western saddle it will help" she told Erin. She slowed down Rocky into a trot and tapped her shoulder a bit telling her to lift her legs high.


Dallas looked at the other two in the arena and smiled, Maybe they could all do a show together one day he thought.

Erin
"No. No breaks. No slacking off. I have to train." I say riding Captain, trying to increase my speed, "Come on Capt." I say as I get into the riding position, it hurts with my shoulder like this but oh well. I kick Captain, and he bolts at full speed. "So far so good," I hold onto the reins. The jump looms on front of me like a giant. I shake it off. "Come on Captain!" I say as he bucks me off. I hit the ground hard. I scream out in pain. I lay on the ground holding my shoulder, "Erin. You idiot!" I say to myself.

ERIN! IF YOU DONT REST I SWEAR I WILL BEAT YOU INTO TOMORROW!" Clair said to Erin when Captain bucked her food. "She stopped Rocky and slid out of the saddle. She rushed over to Erin and looked at her shoulder.


Rocky stomped her foot and looked at Captain with her ears pinned down "Why did you do that?" She asked him with a cold emotion in her eyes.


Dallas stopped Dusk and came to Erin he kneeled down "Why do you do this to yourself?" He asked Erin with hurt in his eyes.

Erin
I get uo and shake myself off. Captain trots up to me. I mount him, and look at them. "I have to race. So I have to though it out." I say urging Captain into a canter and riding to the Tree. I dismount, and climb the Tree slower than usual. I crawl onto the platform. "Nice job Erin. You busted up your shoulder" I say looking at the clouds. I look over and see a bird's nest. I smile, happy that some one else is here. I hum to myself softly.

Rocky glared at Captain and stopped her foot shaking her head.

Erin
I climb down the tree and mount Captain ride back to the stable. I dismount and untack him. I put him in his stall and walk back to the rooms. I sit on my bed, "My arm is killing me." I say taking the pain killer. I roll onto my side and fall asleep. I wake up to a soft meow. "Fawn?" I ask walking to my window. I see the little cat outside. "You crazy!?" I ask throwing open the window, pulling her in. "You crazy cat." I leave the window open.

Dallas followed Erin and tapped on the wood by the window of her cabin. "You know we still haven't really talked about it." He said glancing at her.
