Star looked around at the people gathering and sighed as she didn't see Caleb. She got her hopes up for nothing. She was starting to like his presence. All the other people around here were a fake nice. His mean attitude was a balm on the stables for her. It was nice once in awhile to be around mean people.

Mason held her before getting her back to the cabins. "Which one is yours?" He asked before looking at the horses. He would take care of them after he got Kris settled and warm.
