Protect the farm V.2 ~Always Accepting~

She got up and shook out her ruffled pelt. "Yeah, I'm fine. Well, I've just been defeated by a rock so I think that qualifies as depressing." She said with amusement, shaking her head.

Miles
He smiled and picked up the rock, putting it out of the way. "There." He said once he had trotted back to her. "You got a little..." He motioned to a leaf caught in her fur but then used his teeth to gently pluck it out.

Zoey
She chuckled as he put the rock away and when he came up to her and got the leaf out of her fur, she couldn't help a shy smile, "Thanks." She wasn't used to being shy, being one of the most open and friendly dogs on the farm, but this small act startled her, in a good way.

Miles
He stepped back noticing a shyness between the two. Quickly he spoke, "Let's keep going shall we?" He asked sort or rhetorically just to get back to what they were doing before.

Zoey
"Yeah, good idea." She nodded and started walking again, although she couldnt help the smallest bit of disappointment that she felt at that moment.

Miles
"So how long have you been at the farm?" He asked, trying to make conversation.

Zoey
"Couple of years." Zoey shrugged, looking at him. "I've lived here ever since they took me and my brother from the shelter."

Miles
"You have an owner? Cool. I don't but oh, well." He shrugged.

(Just trying to think of a sort of history for him, like how he got on the farm as a stray.)

"Yeah, but Im sure you will have one someday too. Maybe sooner than you expect." Zoey smiled at him encouragingly, her tail wagging gently.
