he opened Clyde's kennel and pulled the dog out, calmer now he looked to Clarissa and wagged his tail, "Well, you're not too bad.." Clayton said not wanting to jinx the niceness of the dog.

"I guess he liked how you tasted." He teased. Walking close to Clayton and Clyde incase he was needed. I made him a place between the two calmest girls, might havre said that all ready.

"I must look like I taste good then I dont." He laughs "who'd you put him inbetween? Most the dogs we have were calm. " He said as Clyde pulled him

"Ginger and Jamaica but I could switch Ginger with another if she isn't fixed and goes into season. I noticed the fur handn't fully grown back on Jamaica's belly yet." He shrugged. "You ready to have this off now big boy?" Moving slowly and carefully attempting to remove the muzzle from Clyde before he was fully closed into his pen. The dog would have still had to push past him and Clayton to get loose in the shelter. Then past Lily to get out of it.

"That's a good idea." He told Owen as he walked Clyde he seemed a lot calmer now that he met Clarissa "do you think Clarissa and Clyde would make a good match?" He asked not really wanting to pour salt in the wound.

It helped to think that she was comming back so he took it that way. "He seems like he needs a firm hand with someone who will train him proper.. so yeah, I bet she could make him a star. It will probably be a couple of moyhs until he is close to social enough to put him up, based on today anyway." After Clyde was unmuzzled an secured he placed a danger sign on the door to his pen.

"This is very true, we might need a professionals help." He told Owen hanging up the leash and locking the door to the kennel. "I really hope that she comes back and quick." He said

"She is that, I'll work with him until then and hope for the best. Have to make sure that we have lots of treats in stock until then.. reward him for every little good behaviour. If Clyde here even looks happy to see you toss him a treat." Building trust with Clyde he figured would be the hardest part of dealing with him.

"Do you ever wonder what happened to make him like this? " He asked looking at the brindle pitbull

"Yeah, but he can't tell us. My guess is poor, probably rough handling and little to no training and socializing. .. His actions seemed more defensive both with you and Clarissa.. " He bit his lip and tried to stay gocused on the conversation about Clyde. "Do you agree?"
