I sigh and look at Ricardo " It's not from you.. It's from.. Well.. " I close my eyes. " Dena.. I like you, as you have noticed. And it's just.. You spend so much time with corvette.. Is there something wrong with me..? " I ask, my eyes tearing up.

corvette stared at nikki for a few moments before a tear streamed down her cheek. she watched as her entire life flashed before her eyes, flashing back to reality. her eyes were wide with fear, and she was shaking as the terrible memories came flooding back to her. as nikki spoke, she closed her eyes and looked at the ground before she started crying. it was like...nikki hated her guts, and it was, well, terrifying to know you've got someone who may be planning a murderous attack. she laid down shakily before putting her face in her paws and sobbing. what has she done? she hadn't realized that nikki was so upset about dena that it would make corvette sad..

she was beating on some old buckets, creating a tune. she thumped her tail to it, "had the song picked out, had the preacher on call... had my mama in tears, she didn't like him at all… but I loved him, yeah I really thought I loved him." she sang loudly, beating louder on the buckets, licking her lips, "thank god I dodged a bullet-et-et-et-et-et! thank god i didn't do it-it-it-it-it-it! no empty shells on the ground and you're nowhere to be found. cause once the trigger is pulled, it's impossible to dodge a bullet!" she sang out loud, beating on the drums still. it seemed as the song just went on forever. she waited a few heartbeats before she continued singing, "thank god I dodged a bullet-et-et-et-et-et! thank god I didn't do it-it-it-it-it-it! no empty shells on the ground and you're nowhere to be found. cause once the trigger is pulled, it's impossible to dodge a bullet."

She whimpered as she laid at the mouth of the den entrance, shivering.

He huffed as he continued to just watch his sister and this white male.

He smiled as he wagged his tail a bit.

The Husky blushed as she glanced at the white male. She softly said "I like you..."

I look at Corvette with Bloodshot eyes. I didn't hate her, neither did I dislike her, I just wasn't too fond of her. " Corvette, you have nothing to cry about, " I say softly, in a nurturing voice. " I know you're stronger than that.." I say calmly.

corvette raised her head and looked at nikki, shivering, “ it's not like i haven't been through the same..” she whimpered, lowering her head, looking at dena with her eyes, “you saved my life...you got me out of the pound...and all I did was stick by your side...” she whispered, standing up, licking his cheek lightly before whispering in his ear, knowing no one else could hear. “i don't want to lose you again.” she whispered silently, “i...love you...” she slowly limped out of the den, and into an abandoned pick-up.
