Rin is happy. Oro scampers off to give them a moment.

"Here is the river," Malkia mewed, her muzzle pointing ahead to a wide spread of water near the horizon line. "We can make it by sunhigh... but I can hardly see the sun behind all the clouds!"

Rin chuckled. "I can barely tell if it's night or day with all the clouds."

"Same here," Malkia mewed, gazing at the dark sky.

Rin chuckled and marched towards the river. "Well, let's get this over with."

Shizi's eyes grew as he strided into step with Rin. "Ladies first," He purred, gesturing with his paw to Rin toward the river, smiling deviously. Malkia looked nervously at Shizi, standing at Rin's other side. She licked his shoulder encouragingly. Onala stood by Oro, batting her eyes while looking down at herself in a puddle.

Rin nods his head to Shizi. "After you then." Oro decides to "accidentally" bump the other lioness, making Onala fall face first into the puddle.

"No, no, you ma'am," He chuckled, swiping his tail onto Rin's hind legs to give him a running start. "Hey!" Onala hissed, plunging into the puddle and getting up, her face full of tears. "What was that for?" Malkia rushed by Oro and Onala, seeing Onala's dirty face. "What's going on here, Oro?"

Rin turns on a dime and claws the air in front of Shizi's face. Oro's eyes round in innocence. "I didn't do anything. I was bumped into her by another lioness I don't know."
