Shay awkwardly followed with her, making sure she got back safely. They weren't alone in this city, there were plenty of strays who wouldn't hesitate to tear her apart. He didn't want to worry her, she didn't need to know just yet. He didn't want to ruin this moment with her.
Shay pushed in front of Snowfall and let out a low growl. The last encounter he had with a dog hadn't been a good one. He stared down the dog, making it apparent he wasn't going down without a fight. All of these dogs have been nothing but trouble, what have they ever done for him? Suddenly a ping of sadness stung his chest. Zeus
Shay shook off his thoughts about Zeus. He could mourn for him later, now was not the time. He dug his paws into the concrete, tensing is muscles for a fight. No one was going to lay a paw on Snow except him or the rest of the pack for that matter.
Shay turned away, but wasn't able to dodge completely. The wild dog managed to clamp its jaws onto the flab of skin on the back of his neck. It was super effective. He winced in pain, and quickly lashed back at the stray.
