The Clans of Africa (Warrior Cat with Big Cats)

Milina scratched her neck in agreement, "True, but who did this then? It's smells so fresh, but I hadn't smelt anything when I was walking along the borders this morning" She let out a confused noise, "This makes no sense" She growled

Anita stood with Athena, proudly and strongly while Febz was laying down beside her, "Should we be doing this in broad daylight?" Febz asked nervously, licking his paw in obvious fear while Anita shook her head at him but didn't respond, allowing Athena to respond instead.

Athena glanced at Febz and chuckled quietly. "Of course." She replied, digging her claws into the dirt. "It shows the others that we aren't scared." The leader explained. She shook out her spotted pelt and motioned for them to follow. "Let's go, I can smell Zebras." She spoke.

The siblings took no time to quickly follow the deputy. Phango kept his head high and his amber eyes alert for anything suspicious. More so for Hyenas than anything. Every now and then, one of his ears swiveled back at a sound, but it was usually a prey animal than anything. Turning his head, he kept his attention on Sabre and Chi as well. The large Cheetah took up a faster pace as they stalked through the grass.

Chi smiled slightly to Kayrah then bounded after Sabre and her brother. The white and black spotted female was much smaller and more agile than the two larger males. Cerulean optics flickered about as they traveled through the grass to their clan's borders. Hyenas. She wasn't very fond of them. They were scavengers and plain nasty. They had also attacked their clan a while back when a lot of Cheetahs were on a hunt, taking the lives of a litter of kits. It had been Sabre and Kayrah's younger siblings. Phango and Chi hadn't know the kits very well, but everyone had been affected by the kits' deaths, especially Sabre and Kayrah's family. Chi and her siblings knew all too well what it was like to lose loved ones. Delani dying by crocodiles and their parents perished in the great battle of the Lions. Chi sighed, glanced between Phango and Sabre, her black-rimmed ears at attention for any peculiar sounds.

Legion smiled and nodded his head as he turned and padded off towards the hunting grounds. "So what have you been up to today?" He asked Maru. "Besides Fighting with Calico." He added jokingly.

Maru laughed softly as she followed him, "Really, nothing much, I think fighting Cally was the only thing I've done today so far, besides going hunting with our daring deputy" She teased as she paused to sniff the grass, dismissing the smell as something trivial she continued walking beside him, a few inches back though, so he was leading.

Anita let out a soft giggle and followed, her tail swishing excitedly while Febz followed behind, pausing to itch in nervousness every few seconds, "What if they catch us though?" Febz whimpered and Anita turned around to hit him in the muzzle, "Be quiet and hunt, we can take them, now shush Febz, you'll give us away" She growled slightly as she turned back to follow Athena, "We do have to be careful though" She mumbled very softly to Athena while Febz followed nervously, pausing to itch again.

Sabre's fur was standing on end as they neared closer to the border, suddenly the wind picked up, changing directions and a smell caught his nose, freezing to inhale it, he paused to really take it in before turning and sprinting after it, pausing to sniff it here and there, he was even paying attention if the siblings were following him, he had to catch the scent. Finally stopping to crouch then leap over the grass, he caught the hyena by surprise, knocking it over, though it quickly let out a surprised giggle before scrambling to avoid the cheetah's second lunge to pin it. The hyena backed up a few feet, jumping back to avoid Sabre's claws, the hyena's taunting giggles were starting to drive Sabre to hit faster, catching it across the face, it was just enough distraction to have Sabre pin it. "Why are you in our territory, mutt" He hissed in the dog like creature's face while it giggled at him. Sabre's tail was flicking angrily, his emotions getting the best of him, "Answer!" They were now a few feet in the outlands but Sabre wasn't paying attention to that, he was too busy trying to get the hyena to do more then laugh at him, "You... Should have seen... Your face..." The hyena cackled out while Sabre's fur prickled with anger.

Legion glanced at her and chuckled quietly. "Daring?" He murmured and shook his head. "I think not. Just hungry." He joked faintly and scanned their surroundings. He shook out his pelt and suddenly he picked up a scent. Antelope. The male lion grinned as he looked at Maru and crouched, his belly fur brushing against the dirt. "Smell that?" He whispered.

Athena glanced back at the two hyenas following her and rolled her eyes. "We will be careful." She growled, becoming irritable. "Now will you two shut up. Or you will be the ones to give us away." She added. The hyena crouched when suddenly she heard the cackling of another hyena nearby. The leader suddenly feeling curious followed the noise to see a few wild cats. She cackled softly, padding towards them, fangs bared and a smirk on her face.

Phango and Chi halted in unison behind Sabre. The male Cheetah raised his nose to the air to check a second time. There definitely was a Hyena. A low growl rumbled in his chest as he lowered his body and jump after Sabre. Phango land just a foot or two away from the quarreling deputy and Hyena. The fur on his back bristled as the Hyena had the audacity to laugh while Sabre had it pinned. Amber eyes narrowed as he took a step forward. "I wouldn't test his patience. Answer his question, Hyena," the normally calm male hissed in warning.

Chi lowered her head as she stood behind Sabre and her brother, her ears pinned back as she hissed in displeasure. Why was it just laughing? "I wouldn't be laughing and cackling if I were you, scavenger," the white Cheetah sneered. The slender female froze as she sniffed the air a second time. There were more. Hadn't Kayrah said there was only one though? Then again, how could she be so naive to not remember Hyenas traveled in packs. She hissed, the fur at the base of her neck prickling and her tail flicking in agitation as she sharply turned. "Phango, Sabre. There are more behind us," she chirped to them.

Maru laughed at the joke before sniffing the air, "The antelope?" She questioned, taking a deep inhale, she faintly smelled zebras and buffalo but the Antelope was strong and fresh.

Sabre glanced behind him and at the approaching ones, before turning to the one pinned below him, "Last chance, what were you doing in our territory-" A sudden voice cut through the air, sharp and cold, "A better question is what are you doing in ours?" Glancing up, standing about fifty feet from them was an adult lion with a scar across his nose and two cold, blue eyes, "Tay...?" Sabre questioned, as he stared at the lion, the hyena went into hysterics, cackling and snorting, "I wouldn't be laughing if I were you, she said, I wouldn't test his patience, he said" The hyena cackled before kicking Sabre off her and starting towards Tay, though Sabre made no move to go after her, "Back up, both of you, now" Sabre hissed to the two as Tay started towards them, himself backing up, but staying in between his clan members and Tay. "Stay back, Tay, we don't need to do this, again" The male lion continued towards them, "Oh, but I think I do, after all, lurking in our territory, that's not okay... Mmm, and attacking one of our clan mates, tsk tsk, what a shame" As he moved closer, the hyena did half circles behind him, giggling as the cheetahs backed up.

Anita recognized the other hyena instantly but didn't say anything, instead, she stepped forward growling, "Are we gonna help one of them, or leave them both" She growled, softly to the leader while Febz took a few feet forward, "We gotta help them! Tay's a bad guy" Febz whimpered, his fur standing on end as Tay neared them, "You know what he did during the great battle, come on, Athena, we gotta do this" Febz whined as Tay closed the distance between the cheetahs.

Legion narrowed his eyes as he noticed a cloud of dust only yards away. Must be a stampede of antelope. He watched closely and stalked forward slowly, hidden by the tall dried up grass. His tail swayed back and forth, his shoulders relaxing. He scanned the heard of prey and finally set his eyes on a particular one.

Athena glanced at Tay and began to circle the three cats, eyes narrowed as she grinned. "Well isn't this fun." She cackled and watched Tay, finally deciding the side with the other cats against Tay. He was a very bad cat, and needed to be taught a lesson. "You are a very naughty cat." The leader cackled as she moved closer, continuing to glare at him then giggling softly. "Do you really think you can take all of us? Hmm?" She asked, her fur rising on end.

Chi watched the group of three Hyenas advance towards them and the single Hyena. It seemed off though. This whole situation. A cold and masculine voice cut off her thoughts and sent a shiver down her spine. She knew that voice from a time she did not care to remember. The white Cheetah whirled her head around to catch sight of a large male Lion with a scar on his nose and blue eyes. Her gaze flickered to Sabre as he spoke the name Tay. So, it was him. Her ears quickly pinned back as she took a few steps back behind her brother and Sabre while Tay and the Hyena closed in. The cackling of the Hyena pushed to the back of her mind, so was the thoughts of the three other Hyenas. Chi was a smart girl, she had come to realize that this Hyena with Tay was not part of the Hyena pack.

Phango narrowed his amber eyes, unsure of what to think. Was Tay seriously trying to start up another war? Wasn't the one they had had before enough? A grim expression appeared on his face as he hesitantly followed Sabre's orders to back up. The large Cheetah growled unpleasantly as he took a few steps back while Tay and the female Hyena advanced. His first instinct was to stand in front of his sister. His attention was then brought to Athena as she spoke and joined the little scene with her two pack mates. He recongnized her as the leader of the Hyena pack. Not that he was all relieved to see her, he did greet her out of spite. "Athena, nice of you to join us," he murmured, not that he was grateful, looking back to Tay and his little cohort.

Maru crouched next to him, moving closer so they could talk quietly, "Which one are we going after?" She asked, softly, watching them move, trying to guess what seemed weaker (Some wb here ;~; sorry)

Sabre was unsure, even with the hyena pack's help, Tay was a cruel, but intelligent lion, he was also strong, and with his time to train since the last war, the cheetah knew he had to be stronger. "Oooh, scary, a lion that could kill a cheetah with a flick of his ear and could kill hyenas with a twitch of his tail, how scary, are you guys gonna all gang up on me? That's not fair is it?" He was crouching down to strike while the hyena started cackling, Sabre's body stiffened, staring into Tay's cold, blue eyes. Seeing the muscles move as Sabre started to lunge, Sabre prepared to dodge it when a young, male cheetah came over the hilltop, and he froze, his eyes widening. Taking a step forward, towards the cheetah, something crashed into him and his breath was lost, he was forced to turn back towards the lion, but it was so quick, that Sabre was pinned under him, a paw crushing down on his throat. "Stay back, or i'll kill him" Tay warned, lazily to the others.
