Summer. The hottest season in the year and they were smack dab in the middle of summer now. Luckily today seemed to be one of the cooler days and by cool Nubia meant in the low nineties. The female was already awake, though she had yet to leave her comfy den but as the temperature rose, the den wasn't all that comfortable anymore. She sighed and pushed herself to her paws as she made her way out of the dark den. Squinting, she blinked a couple of times to get use to the sunlight streaming through the tree tops. Why did it have to be morning already? It felt like she had just shut her eyes to sleep. The subordinate female groggily stretched her stiff muscles to wake herself and her body up. Afterwards, amber orbs surveyed the camp to see who was and wasn't up or in camp. She had no idea for now, plus, she was still half asleep as she tried to pick out those still within the camp. Sitting down on her haunches, a yawn escaped the young female. Her coat was a bit on the dirty side, after all, a den was surrounded by dirt, so one tended to get a little dirty. After closing her mouth from her yawn, she looked up at the tree tops, it seemed to be another clear day without rain, which to Nubia was a rather good thing. The majority of spring it had rained so she was happy that it stopped though of course, her happiness was cut slightly because of the heat that summer brought. The female hoped no one would try to speak with her, though in a pack, she was more of the secluded loner. She tended to stay away from the general population of the pack and often snapped rather quickly when someone was getting on her nerves. Nubia was that one wolf every veered clear of unless they wanted a chuck missing from their body. Of course she had her good days but in general, Nubia was not the wolf to go to for anything unless you needed some serious advice. She was known for giving the blunt truth whether it hurt or you agreed with her or not.

The sudden onyx body behind him nearly startled the male. At first, he guessed it was one of his pack mates, proving he would be in so much trouble until he scented the air when he didn't recognize the male's voice. He was so dead, or in some serious trouble when he returned. Of all things to happen, the young five month old was stuck with a loner and a dog. Of all things. Shaking his head, he looked at the dog as he waited for her to respond to the large male who seemed to be protecting Lucius, though the male was not exactly sure if that was what the loner was doing. He wouldn't be surprised if the male turned on him after the female dog left but Lucius was not one to just take off out of fear. The onyx pup faced his fears head on and at the moment, he was not afraid of this stranger. When Remme finally answered Rafe, Lucius bared his teeth at the dog and growled. "Even I'm not that stupid to believe that. You don't have any human smell on you, more so other dogs." Sense of smell came in handy when you knew how to separate smells. True, humans did come through the territory on occasion but the wolves knew they were no threat. Hunters had not came through for years from the stories his mother had told him. Along with the fact that Lucius had seen one of two and they smelled worse than skunk in his opinion. The onyx pup dared to turn his head and look behind him to see Rafe. The male looked ready to kill something and that make the pup's skin crawl but nothing showed on his face as he turned his gaze to Remme again.

A small smiled crossed his muzzle before she asked him a question. The inuit shook his head in response, clearly not planning to tell her the things that went through his head on a daily basis. Though Niko did decide to answer her question. "Nothing you need to worry over. Mostly the dynamics of our group and how well everyone is settling and what not." he responded.

The female listened to his words before swishing her tail around lightly as she blinked a few times, before looking to the male once again. Her ears flicked around as she listened to him speak before the female stood up lightly as she smiled. "Okay Koda. Come on" She said with a small smile standing herself up. The female gave her pelt a quick shake as a few spots of dirt fell to the ground. She moved her head back lapping at her back as a clump of white fur fell onto the ground. She curled her paws up shaking the dirt off it once again before twitching her nose as a few scents covered them selves around her. Most were the scents of bird but a few rabbit scents pricked here and there welcomed by the sweet scent of flowers and nectar in the air. The insects around the two fluttered farther into the sky out of her reach before she moved out of the camp and deeper into the forest. The female always enjoyed walking trough the woods, she would go on adventures with Breeze when she could and take the little pup out, for the young pup it was like nothing she had even seen before and everything made the young female smile. Nadia shook her head attempting to keep her dark thoughts at bay, now was a time for remembering happy times not dwelling over things that could not be changed. The thought wisely her ears pricking up as she looked back to the gray brute.

The five year old brute ran his tongue across his muzzle giving a slight chuckle when she inquired about his pack females. His head shook slightly as he glanced around giving a slight smirk to the female before swishing his tail around kicking up a few dust particles flying into the air. He give another chuckle before responding to the female, "No. No. Not them. Some other females i knew were always flopping themselves at me" He said puffing out his chest with a smirk and narrowing his eyes. "To be honest though it was not all bad" He said with another laugh before curling his claws into the ground as he softly blinked his eyes once again. The sun shone trough the trees once again as the brute caught another glance at the female fully, she was amazingly gorgeous, and he would make it his main goal to court this female no matter how long it took. The male though to himself giving a slight nod he already seamed to be on her good side so that was a plus, the male told himself his ears flicking back before his voice again spoke up. "Yes.. Miss, you are Different. Different in a good way" The brute said his head nodding lightly as he sat himself on his rump. His paws digging into the ground as the grass around him formed around him tickling his fur.

positioning himself almost over lucius just to show remme that he did mean business and even if he did not know the pup below him he liked his spunk. thus, he had earned his loyalty. at-least for now.
keeping his eyes locked ahead of him he could feel the pup looking up at him and tensing some between his legs a feeling that honestly made rafe feel good about himself. had he impressed the young onyx male? of course. who would not be impressed with him? grinning a wicked little grin as his yellow eyes finally flicked down to the pup between his large paws. seeing the male bare his teeth and growl his eyes quickly flicked away and focused hard on the silver vixen. lying? to him? she must have a death wish!
baring his large teeth matching the pup with his own growl which was deep and much louder his face wiped clean of his curious expression toward lucius, shame he was pack rat.
"you dare lie to me?! dumb dog, you have a death wish. first you trespass on wolves territory and now you dare stand high and mighty before us, look me in the eye and lie? i do not take kindly to liars." the onyx male stepped forward now basically standing over lucius as he covered the distance between remme and him. rafe did not have to live by the pack laws of harm no dog unless they do harm to you. rafe did what he liked, when he liked and dared anyone to tell him other wise. 'however, if you dare tell me you are passing with humans that just make my desire to rip into your pretty little face that much greater. i despise humans.' his growl turned into a hard snarl, his dark lips curling high over his yellow lips. she would learn rafe was not a fool and you would not play him as such.

the warm sun against her brindled pelt made her large dark black ears pivot and switch as the morning sun began to her pelt. had she over slept? oh yes indeed she had, and by a lot at that. pulling her dark brown almost black orbs apart and becoming temporary blinded at the sight she lifted her head up from her paws and let out a yawn. by the looks of the sleeping pile most of the pack was up and out most likely exploring and getting to know their new 'home'. good that was the plan, at-least in her mind it was.

stretching out her paws ahead of her, her rear end began to lift upwards until she was in a downward dog position yawning once more. gamma was not a morning canine, if you needed her she would be there but little did she speak until she felt fully awake. now at a full stance her well toned frame stood proud as she flicked her tongue from her black masked maw and gave her pelt a hard shake. how would she begin her day? seeking out orders, or taking matters into her own paws? why not try something different for once. shrugging and titling her head her orbs flicked to the left and then the right and soon she was off seeking out a drink to quench her morning desire..

Shade had always been a confident wolf, at least when he was around others he could trust, he had always been a wolf to care about how he looked and how he acted around others. He was very careful about what he revealed, very aware of others feelings and how they acted around him. He knew that if they were cautious and careful then he needed to be cautious as well. With Accalia he felt different. He wasn't sure what to make of her just yet. On top of his mixed feelings, he couldn't seem to read her very well either, which also confused him. Shade flicked his ears as a soft breeze shook him out of his thoughts. A small smile flickered across his muzzle as he lifted his nose higher, breathing in the fresh air. It was no lie that Shade had always loved the breeze ruffling his fur or the wind whipping at his paws as he ran. With the smile still in place, he glanced over to the golden female next to him, his eyes gleaming, not guarded. He studied her for a moment, tall ears flicking once more before he faced forward and took an audible deep breath. It was true, Accalia was much different from the others, though Shade was still trying to figure out why.

"i must say, it seems wonderful today," accalia said as she glanced at shade. the alpha female continued to walk beside him, accalia was confused at her mixed emotions that were lingering through her mind, no matter how hard she tried to ignore them they bounced back up, exhaling deeply the golden fae perked her ears.

"it's beautiful out here," koda remarked with a smile.
