----
The Snow crunched under your frost bitten paws.
Your hot breath sounded in your ears.
The loud thump of your heart keep you on step.
All you had to do is run.

----

You and your sled dog team of seven others set out on a Trans Alaskan race across frozen tundra, mountainous sense and many dangers. It is your first rookie race of this size with your handler Mr. Jackson Stones. He was a tall nice guy with hair like the sun and eyes like grass. In the middle of the race Jackson starts to cough and shake. His eyes display fear and sickness. He commands your team to slow. Forcing you to cool in the below zero temperatures of northern Alaska. Something strikes him from the inside. You can smell that he is not well. He crawls to the ropes that bind you to the sled which you are pulling. He unclasps the hook. He pats you all on the head quietly. “Be… Free…” He barely whispers. You smell his soul release. He is gone now. You sniff his now frozen body and look at your fellow sled mates, your friends, your family. What you do now is all up to you.
After a bit of debate and an agreement, you as a team decide to stick together as a pack. It’s for protection against scary wolves bears and whatever else you might encounter out in the Alaskan wilderness. You all decide it is best to stay close, hopefully your wild instincts will lead the way.
You were cold then, but now you are Below Zero.

Rules

General-Well Site rules apply, keep everything even, no Mary/Gary sues and be respectful. Its basic stuff, you should know all of this. Also don’t curse, its really unnecessary. Make your character original too! I encourage drama between characters. After all, drama just makes everything fun in a role-play!
To Keep your Characters - If you do not post for three days, your characters will be deleted. This goes for reservations too unless further is said. There is a maximum of two characters per person. If you make a male your second character must be a female, etc.
Original Characters- Please be original and DO NOT use pure breed husky or malamute dogs! It gets SUPER boring! Remember a picture is optional, a good description is not.
Keep it Semi-Literate- This is a semi-literate role-play. I define semi-lit as 300+ word posts give or take a bit. Try your best to follow grammar rules. Mistakes are ok though, We are all human! (I hope O.o)
The Form- Please use your own form! Remember to have it very detailed, but don't worry if it isnt a novel. Its quality not quantity!. Don’t forget to include their rank on the team and a few weaknesses they have.

The Team
Note: Just because they are the same position does not mean they are mates. Lead dogs are the fastest out of the bunch, Swing dogs are the second fastest, the team dogs are of normal speed and the wheel dogs control the movement of the sled.
Dog name | Gender| Player

Lead dogs
Chesapeake | Male | Serengeti
Reserved | Female | TrinzIsACat

Swing Dogs
- | Male | -
Gamma| Female | SwiftShadowwolf

Team Dogs
Bendish | Male | Strangeness

Wheel Dogs

The Territory
Where you and your pack stopped is a rather nice area to live. The territory consists of a vast amount of wild forest. In the middle of it all, a small abandoned hiker’s cabin serves as a kind of warm home base for the dogs. TO the east of the cabin lies a small pond that is sometimes frozen over. In the west a few miles lies the base of the mountain which holds many caves and places to explore. In the north is a small open area which caribou, deer, fowl and other artic animals like to live. Across the territory, wolves have been seen and heard as well as grizzly and black bears, and wildcats to be weary of.

Bendish

☢⇉ Call Me Bendish
___________________________________________

Heya! My name is Bendish. That is pronounced “Bend-ish” if you weren’t sure, it’s not tricky I swear! Actually, you’re welcome to call me Bendy if you’re in a good mood. I was named after an antique book about a particular count by the name of Henry Bendish. I can’t read so I can’t say so myself but Jackson told me it was a wonderful book! I’m a boy, I’m pretty sure; at least that is what my vet always told me. I think I am about four years old but I’m not really sure. Jackson adopted me after our neighbor Mrs. Gee found me and my sister in a box. She was shopping for groceries and we were just sitting in the middle of a parking space. I guess she couldn’t resist this face! She told me I looked like a Shepherd and a snow dog mixed together. I wasn’t really aware that snow dog was a breed but if Mrs. Gee said it, it was law! As it turns out, she ended up keeping my sister. Cool huh?
When I came to live with Jackson he wasn’t all into racing me. We used to just jog together sometimes and I guess he realized I was strong and had killer stamina. I remember the first time I got to run with the team, it was amazing! I love feeling so close to everyone else. Actually, I love running more. I think it’s one of my favorite things to do. By the way, I don’t really have an interest in any mates or crushes or whatever. Romance is just not something I have an interest in as of now. Sorry ladies!

☢⇉ The Real Me
_______________________________________________________________

Bendish is a very laidback dog. He doesn’t let the words of others bother him much. He likes to avoid any and all conflict if he can consciously help it. He likes to go with the flow and let things take its course. He likes to be agreeable and hear the other person’s side to everything. He loves it when he can see the whole picture. However, as a down side to this acceptance, he can sometimes be quite lazy. He is not in any way excited to busy himself and take on work that he deems that another can do. He is very down to earth and is very much a realist. He likes to view things how they are and approach them the same way. Lofty thoughts are not very common for this brute, despite his lighthearted nature. This also serves to be a downfall of his. This realism often causes conflict with his optimistic team members. He doesn’t really understand the way that others can be so hopeful and excited about the future. Thus, this creates conflict that he really does not care for. Often times he does not pick up on the fact that he has angered the other which can make him quite upset and needy. If he is down he is the type to depend on others to cheer him up. Alternately, he is a very bubbly and frank person. He likes to make others laugh if he can and promotes happiness within the group. He is very friendly and can be quite outgoing and quirky with someone he really knows. He prides himself on is honesty and has no problem with the truth. He always admits his faults (when he realizes that he caused them) and is quick to try to make things better. For whatever reason conflict makes him very nervous and causes him to act very out of character. When upset like this he can be very nervous and somewhat childlike. In retrospect, Bendish is a dog you can trust but is not as socially intuned as other dogs. He can be quite awkward at times but always means well.

☢⇉ Outside
_______________________________________________________________

His head is round at its base. Two large deep brown eyes sit just a bit too close together on his face. They are round like grapes but deep set. His muzzle echoes his distant shepherd lineage as it is long and narrow. A rounded black nose tips its end while his chin is peppered with white and grey from stress. Jagged yellowish teeth sit inside his powerful jaws. However, his left top canine is chipped due to a fight with another dog at a park a few years ago. His jowls are tight and do not droop. His neck, like the rest of his body, is narrow but somewhat elegant looking. His thickest fur lines his neck, flanks and chest. Two oversized ears cap his crown. He mostly folds them back into neat little rosettes when he is running or relaxing. Often he likes to keep them fully extended to hear sounds clearly and to show interest. His left ear is slightly droopy at its very top which gives him a somewhat lighthearted appearance. All over he is a reddish brown color, similar to the color of pumpkin cookies. This goes from light on his back to quite dark on his head and ears. His fur is sleek but quite thick as he has a hidden double coat. On his chest he has an asymmetrical white splash that resembles a bird which lazily stretches up towards his throat and muzzle. This white also tips his two front paws. His paws are quite small in proportion to his height so he can be quite clumsy as a result. His chest is very deep to house large lungs. His build is slender which makes him appear smaller than he actually is. At the shoulder he is 22 inches tall. His tail is slightly feathered with longer fur. It maintains the same pigment as the majority of his coat. It is medium length and quite slender.

Gamma

Nicknames: "Dare call me Gam or Gem and I will kill you. Only friends can call me that, and you sir, are not a friend."
Breed: Alsatian wolfdog
Age: 3 years old
Gender: Female
Family: Father - Uranium
Mother- Lady
Brother - Kays
Brother - Ziggy
Sister - Quinn

Appearance: Gamma's main colours are black and gray, with a thick pelt that protects her and keeps her warm in the cold. Her tail is quite long, and her ears sit pretty on the top of her head. Her eyes are a captivating, yet steely gold, that she can turn intimidating whenever she pleases. Despite being female, she is very fearsome, and you'd be better off not angering her. She has a slim, femininely muscular frame, built for agility, but packing more muscle than one would think. She stands at 64 cm with long legs, and weighs around 69 lbs. She holds herself without fear, appearing as an Alpha female were she not a wanderer. She is described as quite beautiful by males, with her darkest black possible blanket, with a shaggy silver undercoat and captivating eyes, and some have attempted to woo her, but none have succeeded as of yet.
Personality: When you first meet her, Gamma could be described as... irritable. She's very headstrong, and won't let anyone tell her she can't do something. However she is intelligent, and knows her limits, she just doesn't always listen to them. She was bred a fighter, going through harsh training as a pup, and knows well how to defend herself. She's protective over pups, though she won't always show it. She's tricky with her words, and you have to listen close or you may miss a hidden meaning. She has a sassy side to her, and likes to prove she's pretty much fearless. If you do manage to befriend her, she's extremely loyal, willing to lay down her life for you. As a wolfdog, she wasn't wanted by previous humans, who would want an aggressive dog like her? And she never helped her case, only seeming to prove more that she was indeed, aggressive. She doesn't seem to be naturally aggressive, however, only to people she doesn't like right off the bat, or who get on her bad side manually.

History: Gamma was once loved, by a little female human. She was bought and trained as a protector, specifically to care for Jemma, whom she had been named after. She wasn't seen as different, trained like a German Shepherd, feared like one - or worse- too. When walking down the street, it was obvious people shied away from her, even as a puppy barely big enough to run without falling over her own paws. But within her own family, she was not something to be feared - that is, until she was one and a half. Gamma had gotten in trouble for knocking over a vase the parents had gotten for a wedding present. Later in the day, while Gamma was locked outside, a burglar broke in, and attacked both mother and daughter. Unable to protect them, Gamma was blamed for their deaths and failure to come through. While she wasn't put down, she was kept constantly outside in a cage or tied up in a tight collar, with no affectionate contact. Now she knew what it was like to be feared, some wolf mutant who was supposedly a pet. And she became particularly aggressive toward her now abusive owner - Alpha against Alpha, and Gamma didn't quite fancy being the "Omega" in the relationship. One day, she was able to slip her collar off, and ran, never looking back to that home. Roaming as a stray, she was taken in a few times. But with a newly ingrained fear of males, she never stayed long, always being kicked to the curb, or having to escape. But finally, picked up on the street by the Musher, she was seen as useful. Her strong body and extensive training were noted, as well as her thick pelt for winter, and long legs for fast running. It took months, nearly a year, but eventually she trusted him and accepted him as Alpha, ready to begin training. She was trained in a new way - to pull sleds. She picked up fast, and was loved again, but never got over her first mistress. Now, left in the wild, she's caught with the rest of her pack, and torn. She's seen wolves, coyotes, bears, other free animals. And she's wondered, just what was it like to be free? She didn't know, she never had. Now was her chance, but she didn't know if she would take it.

Rank: She Swing dog female
Mate/Crush: We'll see won't we?
Pups: Not yet.
