Wild Mountain Spring slowed down at Red's words. She nodded. "You should be heading to higher ground. Jarawai is starting earlier, as you can see." She said, then added. "And hear." As a thunder strike made a loud noise in her ear. She started her floating canter again. She started to reply to Muglu's comments and question. "Well, I was heading here when the other herds were moving out. I'm guessing there are going to be taken places, and we'll have to do what we can. But yeah, let's just say you don't want to get on my bad side." She said, the truth was that she fought the other stallions off, not wanting to be a part of there herds. She knew that they were slow, and couldn't keep up with her, so she stayed a little longer, until all the other herds left. She flicked her tail again, feeling flies gather around her rump as they got closer to the dry country. Central Australia. "We are leaving the storm. And Mulgu, you might not want to go in front. You might go the wrong way." She said, laughing a little as she canter in front and did a sharp turn to the right.

Red, followed the mare and stallion at a distance as she slowed to a fast trot, almost a pace. She had always loved being alone, it was like there was no-one else in the world. She kept the fast trot, making sure she could still see the pair, just in case something went wrong. Nothing bothered Red when she was by herself, not even the flies. She was at home when there was nothing around her. But, this might be her ticket to safety.

Mulgu followed Spring with ease, he could do turns on the spot so the sharp turn didn't phase him, "I may not be used to this land but I still know how to find dry land," he said although he was happy that Spring was there to guide the way.

Wild Mountain Spring tossed her head. "We are nearly at the start of the the dry country." She said, seeing that the end of the bush was near. "Oh how I wish my dam was here to see me." She mumbled.

Red followed the dust and upturned soil left by the other two horses. Her quarter horse like head bobbed as she turned the corner where the stallion had pivoted. Here she was at home, here in the bush, now it was time to go to the dry land where there will be more danger. Red braced her self for the red land that her mother had talked about.

"My dam is probably shattering under the weight of heavy carts," he muttered, "men are cruel," Mulgu added. He looked behind him to see him Red was still following them and she was. Mulgu put on speed, his feet lifting effortlessly over the now harder land.

Wild Mountain Spring felt the other mares discomfort. She slowed down. "Red, It's okay, this is my home, and I will protect you, you weren't alive when the last Jarawai occurred, you weren't alive, but I was just a foal. I was born on these deserts, and they saved my life." She said, warmly. She was always kinder to other mares, than stallions. She nuzzled the younger mare.

Red sighed, the heat was bad out of the shade of the trees but she had to deal with it. She was used to snow, wind and rain but she could easily handle heat. "Okay, thanks." replied Red, thankful for the mare protection. Her chestnut coat started to drip with nervous sweat. Her eyes wide with fear.

Wild Mountain Spring shook her head. She looked at the others, then cantered ahead. Her coat was thin, which was bad in winter, but perfect for summer. She tossed her head when she found the place that she was born. She stopped and gave a happy buck. "We're here." She said.
